Daily Devotion: Happy New Year January 2020
by Christina Farris 1/01/2020

One of the greatest things God does when we believe is purge our sins from us. He purges our sin with hyssop and makes us white as snow. what is hyssop but it is medical plant used by religious leaders. Hyssop was offer to Jesus on the cross. It was to numb the pain Christ was experience, but he refused it. The pain of a sinner is the pain and discomfort of knowing what we are doing is against God, and leaves an ache in our heart. When Christ purges our sin, he takes and removes the pain not with drug, but with His presence in our heart when we let him in. He purges the guilt of sin, knowing He came to live in our hearts despite our unworthiness to have him enter our hearts. . He came because he loved us first. He knocked, not because we asked him to visit, but we opened the door of our hearts to allow him to enter.

May you have a blessed New Year for 2020.

Praying in January
by Christina Farris 12/01/2019

Praying for all those on the open road this winter. It is not a safe place for those traveling in stormy weather, from heavy equipment drivers, truckers, the little car, to the four wheel drives. Whatever you driving stay off dangerous roads, and out of harms way when possible and let the big trucks do their job of clearing the roads.

Through the month of January also remember the shut in and those that need help in the winter months as far as heat and groceries. Help if you can, clear a walk way, help an elderly person across a snowy path, and remember to not go out if you can not ice skate. Save a hip and don't take the risk in bad weather.
