21 (For those priests were made without an oath; but this with an oath by him that said unto him, The Lord sware and will not repent, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec:)
22 By so much was Jesus made a surety of a better testament.
23 And they truly were many priests, because they were not suffered to continue by reason of death:
24 But this man, because he continueth ever, hath an unchangeable priesthood.
25 Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them.
26 For such an high priest became us, who is holy, harmless, undefiled, separate from sinners, and made higher than the heavens;
27 Who needeth not daily, as those high priests, to offer up sacrifice, first for his own sins, and then for the people's: for this he did once, when he offered up himself.
28 For the law maketh men high priests which have infirmity; but the word of the oath, which was since the law, maketh the Son, who is consecrated for evermore. When we think of Christ being High Priest in the order of earthly priest name Melchisedec, we must first understand he was of the priesthood of a worldwide priesthood as known by Melchisedec of his day(time of Abraham), Christ being more then just a Priest of the tribe of Israel but of the world as we know it even of today for He is everlasting and eternal Priest, something Melchisdec could not do. One has to ask if Christ is a King and a Priest does the law of the Old Covenant change and how so. The time past the Priesthood had remain purified and keep themselves from sinners to offer the sin offering for both themselves and others. The purification and cleanness must be kept in order to perform certain functions in the priesthood. One might see ministers today shut themselves behind closed office doors not coming out for hours in order to prepare for a sermon or other church function. Yet at the same time some do counseling, talking about spiritual issues and even do visitation. Yet non consider the cleanliness of the Priesthood anymore in the same fashion beyond a quick shower and maybe a prayer of repentance in regards to maybe a habit or sin issue of their own. The priesthood in the Christian world being taboo in regards to having to sacrifice themselves for their flock, though some have to protect their people, but it was not for sin of the people as Christ death was. Jesus is and was the only sacrifice that was allowed to be a purified sacrificed for the sins of the people. Then he rose again and lives eternal and forever sitting at his Father right hand.
Without the resurrection the death of Jesus would be like any other prophet. His resurrection proves God's forgiveness to our sin, also proves his love for man. Jesus is the only one that can make a continual intercession for man. He is the only living Priest with that power. If we believe that when we die we go to heaven, then their are pastors that go before us, and yes they are then living, but they are not to be worshipped as a God, for their own sinfulness, or humanity can neither raise themselves up or be used as a living sacrifice because of their sin nature in the since of their holiness. Pastor are only perfect as any believer is by blood of Christ the lamb of God, who has power to take away sins of the world. Beware of any minister that says they are God or Christ in regards to God Jehovah and Christ Jesus. Term god by itself can mean like we might call someone a star or giant in business. Yet that term would be a little g, might even call that little g a snake or a dragon at times, and perhaps an angel. Yet terms must be listened to, in how they are used. In this day and age the term God is usually used only in the since of God the Father in the christian church world. To do so otherwise can cause confusion for some and in other cases it speaks that their is a devil behind the pulpit, a devil in the since of a man who is possessed by demonaic force. If I call a minister a devil I may be implying that if you follow him, and not Christ it will take you to pit of hell. If you follow Christ but only listen to the minister as far as learning scripture and about God then you gained an earthly pastor that can help you in your journey understand something of God. He can not save you only teach you about the one that can save you.
Every mayrter died in vain because they could not save one soul from hell, only lead others to the cross of Christ because of their sacrifice to be willing to fight for the cause of Christ. That why persecution of Christian is it because of faith, social or political view, or just down right personality clash. Roman Empire days before Christianity was accepted and became a wide spread faith, people died because of their faith, the group they belonged too. Their group targeted because governments perhaps feared uprising, or inability to control the group of people, not understanding their message was of faith, not politics. Christianity has no real politics. I talk of politics off and on only to say it matters not my political view or what I think will occur or what God lays on my heart about my country, my faith itself has no political agenda. The main reason is what God does politically will be without me having a view. Politically only thing I can do is vote has God lays on my heart, or stand in a protest line to make political change because of the laws of our land allows it. There be non Christians that will support Christians views in the world because of the moral base they agree with. Then there are Christians that will support non Christians decisions based on ungodly freedoms that they disagree with as far as their own faith. Our country protects all rights of people that do not go against its moral code of justice or is suppose too. If you live long enough you know it not true. Our country at times is a law unto itself in government, perhaps because people do not speak out, or because there is a bully with money. The point being not one government can save your soul. Not one pastor can save your soul. But I know an eternal King and Priest that lives even today that can save my soul and was the sacrifice for my sins, that says God's word lives and His name is Jesus.
People will tell you Jesus died, but do they tell you Jesus lived. Do they tell you he came forth from the grave. Do they tell you he did not remain in the grave. His life and death not in vain, but to prove his eternal power, his power to forgive and his power to restore us, and redeem us in our relationship to God. Our need for intercessor on earth is not. Our need for a redeemer is not for salvation. If you need an earthly redeemer you looking for someone to intercede in places you have a language barrier in. For example If I need intercessor to speak chinanesse because I speak not that language, it is someone to help break down the walls I can not preceive. Biblical culture is different then much of the world today. This idea for eternal Savior not fully grasp, until one breaks down the walls of history in regards of original sin and fall of man being direct disobedience to God and obedience to another other then God. This is something the world can understand. Yet the need for an intercessor can be lost, if one thinks for a moment how long does it take a person to learn to speak another language that is forced into a situation where that is the only language they hear and see. The ability to learn communication is necessity for survival. The need for an interpretator would be short lived. But in the Biblical world the need for intercessor remains because of the sacrificial law for sin.
That is the reason we need the continual intercessor before God. God speaks our language, but he does not agree with human righteousness, only his Holiness. His holiness did not separate himself from sinners, for he still speaks to the heart of sinful man. Christ walked and talked among sinners, but the priesthood had to be purified to be able to make atonement/sacrifice for sin on the altar through sacrifice. Christ was already purified because of who He was. He was not guilty of declaring who he was, only guilty of breaking human law by proclaim who He was as He lived among us. With that man reject Christ because of who He was and what He will one day be upon this earth. That is my question can you receive Christ as your earthly King and Priest. Most have no problem receiving him as Lord and King of eternity, but this every day King and Priest will only seems to exist when convient and doesn't go against one's own desires. Are we sacrificing our government authority in our life, no only our spiritual life in regards to moral, faith, and hope and not necessarily in that order. Morality being perhaps the least effect of spirituality in our land and even in regards to life of believers throughout scripture. God is forever correcting man about morality. And man constantly struggles with it. Living in a purified fashion not impossible with Christ covering for sin, but impossible perhaps for mankind to say I receive Christ authority in my moral, political and spiritual life.
If America choose to back out of Iran with all their people in tow and say okay Iran we do as you request as long as you protect our people in regards of leaving your country, do they have the power to fight the devil that will come against them? What do you think American's do as they wish. Even Iran knows that killing was because of attack on American citizens. Can then there be peace between us and not war. I don't know the answer. What I do know is Iran needs us on their side for one reason, if we could attack so quickly back being so far from our shores what can their neighbors do to them.
The point being we can not know the future of political world in regards of change beyond what God will do and allow until the return of Christ. We can only choose to serve Christ not blindly or without regards to what we can do ourselves by submission to the law without being a rebel to the law, which is allowed to a point, for freedom fighters have had to fight for centuries to protect the rights of people even in our own country by the law, they are called lawyers. Christ is our lawyer before God who protects us when we fail to obey God. God knows our enability to overcome temptation on our our own. After all he made us with the ability to be tempted and ability to fail. We are imperfect, but Christ is perfect and was the only perfect sacrifice for our sin with the only one with the ability to redeem us. With that in mind I have to ask, if God has so much power and his ability to destroy us like ants, then out of fear and trembling alone we should respond to God, but mankind does not. It is with God's love and compassion for man he comes to redeem us by showing us what is to have himself around in human form. Jesus came loving man, healing man, teaching man and giving man hope. Does America teach hope or destruction. I do not know sometimes. But I hope what it teaches is hope. I will teach hope through Christ Jesus, who loved us, desires to redeem us through faith and repentance, and to teach us how to live a life pleasing to God.
Dear Heavenly Father teach us to teach through action, through faith, through love the message of hope of a better future, and about your grace and love for mankind in coming to redeem us through your Son. In Jesus precious name, Amen.
