17 I shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the LORD.
18 The LORD hath chastened me sore: but he hath not given me over unto death.
19 Open to me the gates of righteousness: I will go into them, and I will praise the LORD:
20 This gate of the LORD, into which the righteous shall enter.
21 I will praise thee: for thou hast heard me, and art become my salvation.
22 The stone which the builders refused is become the head stone of the corner.
23 This is the LORD'S doing; it is marvellous in our eyes.
24 This is the day which the LORD hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it. David was rejected as King for a short time for his sin. Yet with his sin came repentance and correction. He then becomes king once more of Israel. Though he lost some people as far as loyalty he did not loose all his people. It okay to fall, it not okay not to get back up and try again when it is of the Lord's calling. David was anointed king of Israel. Though he was appointed by God, it did not mean he was perfect. It did not mean he was God. When God establishes a leader it is by God's word. It matters not who he is, if his calling is of God. If God establish a king then his purpose in dealing with sin is only to correct and not to remove. God removed his Spirit from King Saul because of his unrepented heart but not his position immediately. David never lost God's Spirit in his life. The reason being because of his repentant heart. God then took David from his fall and replaced him as leader.
Psalms 118 is talking probably about David but it not clear that this was a Psalms of David. What we know is rejoicing is taking place because of God's chastisement and establishment. Can we deny what God wants to do. Can we deny the power of the Holy Spirit. He wants to take a diamond in the rough and polish it. David was being polished by God through chipping away of sin. God wants to build on His word in our land.
InMark 12:1-11 KJV it says 1 And he began to speak unto them by parables. A certain man planted a vineyard, and set an hedge about it, and digged a place for the winefat, and built a tower, and let it out to husbandmen, and went into a far country. 2 And at the season he sent to the husbandmen a servant, that he might receive from the husbandmen of the fruit of the vineyard. 3 And they caught him, and beat him, and sent him away empty. 4 And again he sent unto them another servant; and at him they cast stones, and wounded him in the head, and sent him away shamefully handled. 5 And again he sent another; and him they killed, and many others; beating some, and killing some. 6 Having yet therefore one son, his wellbeloved, he sent him also last unto them, saying, They will reverence my son. 7 But those husbandmen said among themselves, This is the heir; come, let us kill him, and the inheritance shall be ours. 8 And they took him, and killed him, and cast him out of the vineyard. 9 What shall therefore the lord of the vineyard do? he will come and destroy the husbandmen, and will give the vineyard unto others. 10 And have ye not read this scripture; The stone which the builders rejected is become the head of the corner: 11 This was the Lord's doing, and it is marvellous in our eyes?
The past several years I have watched several business higher and let go many workers. Not that did not do their job, but perhaps they left for a better career. Others on the other hand were fire or layed off for one reason or another. Others are hired and the process begins again. God sent many prophets and teachers to share his love. There times when prophets and teachers are rejected. Hopefully all are reject for God's word to take center stage and the foundation of his word be built upon. Yet in order for God's word to be established, we often have to reject it as being true or at least in theory. We have to reject in order to see the truth of the word. Yet the same time a continual rejection caused total destruction. We learn as believers to build our faith on God's word by studying it. Yet a non believer is a person that may reject God's word for a time, only to either receive it or for God to destroy him/her because of the continual rejection. Yet in God's marvelous power, God sent His only begotten Son who man rejected, only to reestablish him as chief cornerstone. God had to allow Christ to be crucified in order to reestablish his power through the resurrection. He would establish all things through His power. Peter had to deny Christ before he could lead after the time of Christ.
God allows the rejection of leaders for a reason and then reestablishes leaders for a reason. I once had to tell a minister he was not my pastor. I wonder at those words myself some for he was the pastor of a church I attended, shortly after that I felt the need to leave that church. Yet the pastor understood what I meant, that Jesus was my pastor. We all need human leaders in our life, but we only need one King and pastor of our spiritual heart. God wants to establish His Word/Son in our heart. Jesus came in the flesh, and is the word of God (John 1:1-14). He wanted to establish his Son has the foundation stone of faith.
David was a king on earth that God established to lead his people, but he also was one that God could remove and then restore after repentance and recognizing his error. The people rejected just as they did Christ. Only thing different between Christ and David, was Christ perfection and David imperfection. People reject the devil and even God and chose neither as a king. That is total atheism. That is neutrality of the situation. They decide let God and Satan war it out and let whoever win lead. These people not understanding the full issue involved in their own eternity, for to reject God is to choose Satan there is no other choice. Yet at the same instance to except God one wrestles against tempation of the world leaders by men and woman of both groups. The rise and fall of any leader good or bad exist. Evil leaders fall and good leaders rise to be the best. Yet Christ rejection was of man, not of God. If God wants to establish you he will and if not then God will destroy you. Make sure you know what side you are on. Make sure of your election and your right standing. Things grow without the word of God seemly to be present, but God will show his word with destruction of those things that seem to grow without God. Those things built on God's word will stand.
Establishment of God's word in our court house and across our land is necessary to continue to claim our country as a Christian nation built on the foundation of God's word. Our laws are diverse in nature not to controll\ the heathens of our land in regards to faith, but in regards to living together in harmony. In order for NATO to function in unity it must establish laws that are to obey for the reason of keeping the world in negotiatable terms with each other and our difference. Should the foundation be Christ, Christians would love it to be, but in truth how can it be with nations not all are believers in Christ. It is the ten horns rising, it is the monster raising up. It is not one to necessarily fear, but one to recognize as part of God's message to the world that His word is true. These things can be evil or they can establish peace. The destruction of artifacts in museums illegal why to cleanse the world of their history, that is illegal by NATO agreement. Our country struggles with statues like in the confederacy of wanting to tear them down and cut them up and yet breaking NATO rules. Museums are designed to remind us where our country been, not to necessarily bring this time period back and set the country back over 100 years. When Christ came, he came to reestablish the word of God in power. Yes the word was present, but it need illumination for the world. The world around Israel was rejected in the since of helping to build the temple of God, having to do with purity laws. If we look at the building of the first temple we see many nations helps around Israel. If we look at the building of tabernacle, many tribes besides just Israel was present in the wilderness.
What about the tower of Babel it was destroyed because man wanted to reach God by their power, not by God's established word. God at the tower of Babel in Genesis 11 confused the languages of the people so they could not reach him on their own. God wants us to reach up to him, but he wants to establish the means by which we reach him. He wants us to reach him by His word. Jesus is the bridge, the door and the key. Jesus is the gateway to God. No other foundation is need but that which is built on Christ Jesus. Do you not realize when Christ stood on the mountain in Jerusalem to return to His Father with His Disciples that as he ascended all of Israel seen Him. The crushing moment of Israel as Christ went up to heaven. Christ return will be the moment much like the resurrection and ascension. No doubt the disciples had to explain it from the side of the Gospel these events. Our records are incomplete in scripture because it was not recorded, but enough was give to be remember for generations to come. God lays the foundation of His word not as museum piece but as a book to be read for generation to come and to reestablish it with signs and wonders til the return of Christ in a cloud. Can we be patient and not try and force God's word to come through fake prophecy. News is sometimes held back from being said to establish fake prophets in our land. Beware and trust in Jesus not in these things. With technology it is harder to control. However date those things you writes and realize that God is still in control. Dates are important to establish when facts occur for future generations.
Dear Heavenly Father help our own leaders to lead with your truth and your word, for there is no other foundation that can be laid but that which is laid is Christ Jesus. In Jesus precious name, Amen.
