1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.
2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
3 For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith.
4 For as we have many members in one body, and all members have not the same office:
5 So we, being many, are one body in Christ, and every one members one of another. To present yourself as a living sacrifice is not to set yourself on fire, to not attache a bomb to oneself, or not to be part of a mass shooting. To be a living sacrifice is not suicide either. To live for Jesus as a living sacrifice is to present yourself to God and say Lord here am I, just as I am, desiring to live holy for you. To live for God because Christ had died for me. To live for God is to be willing to share his word, his love, his fruit in our life with others. To share our hope of Christ return. To tell the old old story of Jesus and his love. To be a living sacrifice for God is simple, because to share faith is simple, yet we all do not share the same, though every Christian is part of the same body of Christ. Just because you go to one church and everyone else to another does not make you less a part of the body of Christ. If you receive Christ as your Lord and Savior, you are a part of the body of Christ. Not all groups are the same though, they got their flaws, but they should possesses love for Christ people. No one shares Christ the same way. Not all ministries are the same, yet they should be sharing the love of Christ. Should be sharing his love to the lost. Should be passing love on. Should be telling how Christ died and was resurrected.
Telling how all things are possible with God despite our own common sense of reality. To tell how God can intervene in our life to enable us to be all we can be for Him. Truth sometimes we need those impossible stories to know God's redeem grace is real. We need that hope to set us on fire for Jesus. To share the old old story of Jesus and his love. Are you apart of the body of Christ ready to be a living sacrifice for God by sharing his love, with your time, your money, and with all you have. The other day my husband I were talking about the car show on tv of how they do all this body work to restore and old car. The cost of some of these cars seem outrages to me. And so I ask my hubby if he wanted one. The answer was no, but he would not mind opportunity to work on such a car with a team of people. Now I ask him if we had that kind of money would he want to buy that car. The answer was still no. Now I am sure if we were filthy rich we buy extravagant in some area of our life, because simply it human nature. Yet the car detailing only reminded me of in my own life many Christians has helped shaped who I am with the love of Jesus and how some Christians also shaped me to say I do not want to be like that, and yet their words and attitude come out not because I wanted it too, but because our reactions are much like others. Meaning the detailing of our life is often seen in lives of those who are around us who are running the race toward Jesus. We look to see how others do ministry, but at some point we must decide to do ministry work how God directs us too. Using the very skills God has equiped us with to share the Gospel. There are builders, tax collectors, fishermen, military soldiers, secretaries, nurses and doctors, steel construction workers, miners, Bible thumpers, Sunday school teachers and preachers, and more all doing the work inside and outside the church building. Together we share love and hope not death and destruction beyond telling of the wrath and warnings of God on the world and mankind that is evil. Tell others we have a choice to serve God in love or be a villian meant for destruction.
When I see the wrath of evil leaders especially ones that claim to know God it makes me angry and then I realize some are just words and others take action. It the action that bothers most people. Most people understand that anger of situations, but often times evil words cause destruction not necessarily by evil leader but those who follow those evil leaders. The things done in ignorance of the intent of a leader can be in question. Looking at the Iranian leaders how much anger they are spouting is their full intent to cause harm, or do they only dealing with their anger of their friend. America is angry to because of the loss of life of their people. Both leaders vowing revenge, and yet they desire peace. Will peace can not come as long as one is spurting angry words and hatred. The hot headedness of some leaders can cause a war, or both can cool off long enough to hear their own voice of anger displayed to the world. Islam idea of sacrifice is murder, to rid all the world of infidels. For Christian it is to only desire should be to show and share the love of Jesus. Government are the only one spouting anger besides american citizens that lost loved ones. It is the natural course of things, other groups need to sit back and not take sides but let them sprewing their anger til their is no anger left to spew. It like a fictional dragon with hot fire coming from his mouth spewing hate and anger until all of sudden someone gives him a acid reducer that puts the fire out. See people want to join the fight between Americans and Iran. Both have reasonable amount of allies. Some ready to take revenge like Islam attacking Kenya this morning. Islam not realizing to fight Americans is not a Jidah, but a war against terror. Terror by killing innocent Americans in Iran without cause, just like when they took American's hostage. That type of war is not about peace, it about making peace occur through knowledge of one's own actions. The battle lines for some has nothing to do with what really happened. Those people are the ones that need to regroup and think what are they doing and why. Of course that not reality of what probably will continue to happen. Yet it is what needs to happen.
Iran is seeing first hand what his words do and can he live with that fact he causing others to act that are not his own people. Because this issue was done in the name of religion and not terrorism or peace. The truth of the matter words cause a lot of things. Action of love causes only pain at the heart as the ice is broken between two people. President Jimmy Carter made a decision to show patience with dealing with Iran because of their culture. Some consider his actions not severe enough and others justed wanted the hostages safe. What is President Trumps agenda, his rating showed 50 percent last night. Here the thing sometimes our actions in political realm is necessary but it needs to be just in motive as far as protection of our people and those surrounding our people.
Let us look forward at how Christ teaches us to love. Let our actions weigh what our words sometimes spew. Let our actions not be our words of hate. Let problem solving be as believers to continue to show love despite what political world does. It is hard to do, for we all ache in America when our people suffer, yet we do not all respond the same way. Let us be the true to our faith in being that living example as Christ has called us to and pray for our leaders in America that they will make right choices concerning our homeland security and abroad, as well as our allies. Let us pray for the enemy to see the error of their rash decisions as we pray for our nation decisions as well.
Dear Heavenly Father help us as believers in Christ to be living sacrifice of showing love as Christ loved us, help us not to spew our anger but only spew our love. We all rant and rave, but it gets only others angry. Help us to discuss and not spew. Help us to work with other believers has you desire to teach us how to love others. In Jesus precious name, Amen.
