16 This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, saith the Lord, I will put my laws into their hearts, and in their minds will I write them;
17 And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more.
18 Now where remission of these is, there is no more offering for sin.
19 Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus,
20 By a new and living way, which he hath consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh;
21 And having an high priest over the house of God;
22 Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water.
23 Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;)
24 And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works:
25 Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.The new covenant between God and man after Christ. I used this scripture probably several times since beginning to write once more. It probably one of my favorite passages to use. It is a reminder that God's law was never void, but God's law was for a purpose in our life. He designed it to be held to our hearts to help us keep from sinning, yet in truth sometimes we still sin. Yet when we sin we are covered by the blood of Jesus, his body is a veil for you and me. HIs body a living sacrifice but the blood on his body is the veil, the atonement for sin. Why is it so important to have this veil covering, think of Isaiah having his lips seared with a hot coal because of the filth of his mouth. Our unholiness before Christ atonement before the throne came a purging of sin. There was a time when priesthood had to be so careful about everything they did, to keep their holiness. It was holiness that allowed them to enter the holies of holies in the temple to talk directly to God, who was in the ark of the covenant. The ark of the covenant being the sacred place of God. In our world some of this might seem a bit strange and even silly at times to someone that knows little of ancient Jewish traditions, I do not mean this sacrilegely but if one exams from our world we live in some of the old traditions seem unimageable to us as humans, but if you believe the word of God you know how important his holiness and how important even the purging of the temple and his holiness filling the temple by His presence of His Spirit. The ark carried God in the streets and was a shield between God and man, because just to touch the ark caused death itself. No human hand killed a person for touching the ark, the spirit of God cause death to a man that touch the ark where God's Spirit lived. HIs holiness he retained no one could touch the ark. The fact people could come up and touch Jesus, only shows how his body is a veil, how his blood poured out was second operation of the veil, for God became tangible to the human hand. His water poured out as the sword pierced his side, showing his finality of his human death. When we approach the throne and Christ is standing there God see the veil the protection of Christ on each believer that receive Christ as Lord and Savior, for He is the great High Priest in the kingdom of God.
Christ our redeemer is the veil, or intercessor between God and man, no one can walk unpurged of sin before the throne without the veil of Christ. God made Christ sacrifice the only sacrifice for sin needed to be able to stand before the throne and speak to God the Father. The common thought here is that to be without the veil purging of sin would occur at the throne, just like when Isaiah call came he was purged of his sin with a live coal. His sins were purged with fire. Isaiah learned God's holiness first hand, what would have happened if Christ had been between them, the coal would of been unnecessary in the purging of sin. That is why as Christians we are called to forgive as Christ forgave us. What then can I speak with the fire of brimstone pouring down around me to purge my sin. Christ veil is our shield before the throne.
I do not know if I can stress this enough but the purging of sin is necessary for unbeliever to receive of God and his blessings. I stand in awe of God when I think of his plan of his perfect veil, the body of Christ the living temple. We ourselves become a living temple for God when His Spirit lives in us. What does he see in our heart but the handwritting on the wall of our hearts with the law of God and a place for Him to dwell. In our land the law of God is not wanted in our public buildings and in a since it is saying to God we don't want you there, and in truth man wants to remove God from the lives of the people, feeling that God is unnecessary. The symbol of faith as far as a wall plaque might be man made but the symbol of faith has deep meaning to the believers. Laws of God have shaped our laws for centuries. So to remove the founding laws created by God is forgetting God and His laws. If we remove the laws of God from our heart all that is left is hate. King Saul found out what it was to have evil spirit living inside of him, the wrath he felt for David, was a deep root of jealousy that caused him to want to even kill Daivd and not only kill, but seek his life and killing those that would protect David.
The energy of Satan is thick in our land when compassion is not being shown that where the energy is the thickest and few understand that are in these regions. When the courthouse removes God the evil spirit of darkeness reigns and evil will be upon our streets worse then before. Oh wait its already there, when the judge just slaps a criminals hand, when a judge says I obey the law of love, will the law of love is sometimes with chastiment or correction. David was loved by God but David sin caused him to have a man killed in battle to try and cover his sin. What does this say when man sin is covered to the point sin becomes to gross. Forgiveness and love is important and that when leniency of the law should be applied, but there are times when judgment must come and not just forgiveness. Well judgment been over looked for the believe in heaven, no not really, where is the New Jerusalem, but back here on the new heaven and a new earth. What the New Jerusalem, it is the city of God that desends down from heaven when Christ calls to His people to remove them from the wrath of God to purge the world of sin and all things evil.
The great purging will come and evil will be completely destroyed. Evil will be complete gone. Today is Halloween and mischief and maime follows, and our own town seems to want to extend evil til November 2 because of weather. Christmas is not stopped by snow, or weather, most winter weddings are not stopped by weather, but halloween is stopped by weather. What does it say about the world we live in, that people want darkness and evil to prevail. How fitting with the time change going back so daylight is more in vogue with our waking hours. Darkness gets pushed back on Saturday night. See the devil will not prevail. He will be destroyed. And from my window it is sunny today, hopefully it snow on the 2 of November.
Back to the law of God written on our hearts, we are covered by the vail of Christ but it does not mean we get to keep on sinning. It means there is no more sacrifice for sin. There is no more payment for sin. If we sin is so gross after salvation are we still covered, only because of faith are we covered, by the vail, only by hope are we covered by the vail, the answer is No! Only because God declare Christ as being our veil are we protected by our sin after salvation. The question is if we sin are we really a child of God through faith in Christ. Did Christ suffer only to suffer again because of our sin. The truth lies in this God called Christ to be our veil, our bodies are living temple for the Holy Spirit, and so the need for refilling our temple with God's Spirit because of our evil ways is necessary and so the refilling of the Holy Spirit is the continual work of grace. King Saul could not be forgiven and evil spirit reigned in him. The people before us before the New covenant had only the law of God for protection. We have the law of God and Veil of Christ. Do you have your costume on, the veil of Christ, do you have the veil covering you for protection. It comes with belief. For God is a Holy Holy God and sin can not be before him as being okay. Many priest died entering the holy of holies think they could enter the special room in the temple without their sins purged. Today we are covered but the need for repentance is still necessary. Repentance turning from sin and turning from new sin. Christ alone is not pleased by sin. Yet He gave us power to over come sin and He gave us an instructor to help with obeying Him, who is called the Holy Spirit. That same Spirit that filled the Temple of the Old Testament and disciples on the day of Pentecost is for every believer, yet we need not only to repent and ask God to forgive us but to ask Him to fill us daily with His Spirit, and to purge sin out of our life. The great purging of the world is coming. The elation and joy the Holy Spirit comes with the purging of each new believer of faith. We know the Spirit of God is real and lives in our hearts that Christ dwells in us and we are his child. Let us not be blinded by sin no longer as a believer, but let us see the holiness of God in our hearts that desires to swept our hearts clean. Remember God cares for you and even knows every part of your being that God spoke in His word in yesterday devotion. Do not be afraid to come to Him through faith in Christ Jesus.
Dear Heavenly Father, purge our hearts and purge our souls as we believe in you. Purge our hearts as we repent and ask forgiveness for our sins, knowing your Son through faith is our veil our protection before your throne. In Jesus precious name, Amen.
