A signet ring give to a person without one was being given equal power of the authority above the person. For example Joseph had the signet ring of the Pharaoh, making his authority equal. The signet ring only made the wearer have power and authority and protection for using the authority given. God has given two authority in the world we are in. The devil was given auhority to tempt man. Jesus was given authority to not only forgive man but to heal man and to be the Lamb. Jesus had the authority to do good, to exercise power to raise himself up. Jesus has authority over nature. What did God give King Zerubbabel but authority and power over the heathens. In his day he see the enemy destroyed. Israel was going through chaotic time in history of returning from exile, only to face more giants then Babylon. Zerubbabel was risen up during his time to have power and authority over the enemy. Yet some scholars relate Zerubbabel to Christ authority or Christ being the signet ring of God. Christ coming through the kingly line of King David passing through Zerubbabel line as well. We have yet to see Christ rule or reign as sitting on a physical throne, despite he reigns in many hearts. Jesus came as a teacher, preacher, not as king, but the people would hail him as a king one day and crucify him soon after.

Christ will reign a thousand years at some point in time to come. The signet established by God. Zerubbabel call was a signet ring for his day and time. When we think of the call of God we generally relate it to missionary and ministers. Yet the call of king is place on Zerubbabel. The authority to lead the people as the heathen are destroyed and earthquakes rumble through. The signet ring of the cross was symbol or mark of faith in God. God's angels would mark the people in Revelation 7. Jesus being the signet ring or the word of God. God's word is unchanging. God marks you in like fashion as being his child or chosen by him nothing will harm you until time of your death. I not saying nothing will not effect you that is common to man from a cold, or accident, but I speak until the will of God is performed in your life the seal or mark of God has ordained you for his purpose. Yet we see those that are marked are not always his child by faith. The devil is maybe the best example of this for he is in full opposition of God. Yet his authority to tempt God's children comes from God with the God still protecting his children by the seal of the Holy Spirit. We must remember God's only begotten Son was even tempted. He was not exempted from temptation, perhaps so he would experience the whole effects and feels of our humanity.

A seal or ordination of God can come without faith, but if without faith in God beware you are not on the winning side of God, only marked for a purpose. Zerubbabel, is called servant and Lord said he chose him. Important he served God, maybe not always willinging like Moses when he got angry in the wilderness and asked God for more to help him with his call, and God granted Moses 70 elders. There is point we know little about Zerubbabel time period, but we know the time period speaks of destruction of heathens around him. We know it at the time period of the temple being finally rebuilt after a time period of 29 years delay in the actually building of the temple because of complaints of the people. What we know is the enemy around them would fall for a time period of this king, yet this king would still be under the authority of Darius in Babylon in one since. He had not full power in the since Israel was a kingdom and power to itself. In the USA the state governments were this type of power of Zerubbabel. The authority granted by God to Zerubbabel was for the completing of the task or rebuilding of the temple and leadership over Israel as a king that would see his enemies fall. His task, his being chosen was not the same as minister or preacher, but was of authority and power of leadership to the people. He was much like King David, who would see in his day the enemy fall and peace to come with victory through battle.

Next time you feel you have a call from God, consider this, are your favored by God are you signet with power from God through Christ(word) and marked by his Holy Spirit. You will never have the same authority of Christ in all since of the word. Yet his power given us comes from His word as we learn to follow and obey it. When we pray with the authority of God and ask of Him, he does it according to His will and riches in heaven. Yet the power given to us to pray for the sick and to forgive is real. To see God work through our prayers is wonderful. God's children are marked with his seal and God sees that seal of his children of faith in Christ Jesus. He sees the mark of Christ the Holy Spirit of promise when we believe. Yet are we looking for the miracle only to deceive ourselves, because we lack belief or adoration for God. Who side are you on when it comes to the heart, for the devil believes and trembles, but he does not love God. You are chosen but are you in the will of God as a child of God sealed by His Spirit as His child, because you believe in Jesus and love God with all your heart, soul and mind. In Revelations 7 the gentile nation are adorned and marked by the blood of the Lamb, the Jews are sealed in that chapter because God had chosen them to be a nation unto him and example to the world. The example given of both life and death at times. Destruction and repair is also shown. God love for humanity is one that with repentance comes restoration to all that will and do believe, with loving Him first and then others.

Dear Heavnely Father, as you choose us enable our faith, convict us or our sin to enable that choosing of you for your purpose be because of faith to do your will as Christ did your will. Let our faith and works be attribute of our faith in Jesus. In Jesus precious name, Amen.
