Daily Devotions: by Christina Farris

Ephesians 1:1-14 KJV
(1) Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, to the saints which are at Ephesus, and to the faithful in Christ Jesus:
(2) Grace be to you, and peace, from God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ.
(3) Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ:
(4) According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love:
(5) Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will,
(6) To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved.
(7) In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;
(8) Wherein he hath abounded toward us in all wisdom and prudence;
(9) Having made known unto us the mystery of his will, according to his good pleasure which he hath purposed in himself:
(10) That in the dispensation of the fulness of times he might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth; even in him:
(11) In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will:
(12) That we should be to the praise of his glory, who first trusted in Christ.
(13) In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,
(14) Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory.

Before the world began we were predestine to be God’s children. Before creation God had blueprint of what was to come. It hard to imagine God having a plan before things existed. Our finite minds have the inability to really comprehend before point A and B of any spectrum of prior. For the concept of God all knowing means that God’s thoughts were ever expanding before life began or the word created anything. If God’s thoughts were ever changing and developing, then God is not finite in his decisions. Though I serve a merciful God with the condition to every generation, I have to rationalize that God is not always merciful when people refuse to repent or ultimately reject him despite his love. God’s road map if it had a beginning man does not know of it, beyond God saying I am the first and the last. Meaning that He was first and He will be last in the history of our universe and beyond. Did God need a road map for creation in the since of a beginning point created to say let there be light? Our beginning point of us creating begins with a plan of action or point of doing something not done, or finding something that creates something by accident like soap from ashes was not development but grease poured on a fire perhaps. Then it would be redefined to make a bar of soap and duplicated for the world. Yet man own imagination never created anything and neither did God imagination create, but His word did. I can think all day but unless those thoughts leave my hand and become action it has no power. God’s blueprints of the universe became nothing until the word was spoken. The word itself having the ability to open the curtains at center stage and become something. The spotlight of center stage was turned on.

I can ask my husband to turn on the porch light all day but nothing will happen until action occurs to turn a switch on. The action of God is done by God’s Spirit. Abraham action to kill his son was replaced by ram. Yet God would send his only Son to pay the price for our sins. His action of sending is recorded in God’s word, but the word alone stands when Jesus was formed by the word in the womb of Mary by the Holy Spirit. The word having the ability to be transported by the Spirit into action. Our words can not become anything without our flesh taking action. On second thought technology has created the ability for man to speak and action to open and close things has occurred. The ability to turn on a computer by voice has happened. Our word allowing a robot to do what we say by a simple program. If our voice commands then our voice can control a robots action to do something. God did create the world into robotic action except for his ability to override the system at any point to teach the world of His power and existence, so his creation might believe in Him. God did create his creation to accept and receive His salvation. Yet God also gave His creation to believe. With the ability to think our thoughts are not finite but ever changing. And if ever changing, then our trust must be in a greater power then ourselves to save us from our destructive nature. God sent His Son to save us from our own destruction by proving His power to do all He said He would through prophesy. Delivering the evidence over not one generation but several generation of people with hope in Him. Each generation believing God’s word despite the victories and failure of governmental powers in place. Prophesy still promised even through the exile of Israel

Upon belief in God’s Son we are sealed by the Holy Spirit. A seal of protection from the fires of hell, though human torment is possible to receive as well as heart ache. That seal being a covenant between the believer and God of his salvation from the fire pit of eternity. Protection from eternal destruction promised to the sinner if he receive Christ. God promised man if he did not receive His Son then he would cast them into eternal darkness, where the eternal flames of torment will last for all eternity. God is faithful to deliver his promise of salvation then His promise of eternity is also assure for the sinner which is eternal lake of fire. Which eternity do you chose today?

Dear Heavenly Father thank you for the protection of your Spirit that says you are a child of God. In Jesus precious name, Amen.

Continual Scripture Study for Devotion:Romans 8:29-32 KJV
(29) For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.
(30) Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified.
(31) What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?
(32) He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?
