Trials Of Faith
10/11/2016

Daily Devotions: by Christina Farris

1 Peter 1:6-8 KJV
(6) Wherein ye greatly rejoice, though now for a season, if need be, ye are in heaviness through manifold temptations:
(7) That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ:
(8) Whom having not seen, ye love; in whom, though now ye see him not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory:

God allowed Satan to call fire down from heave to destroy the servants and livestock of Job. The fire of the enemy raining down on God’s possesion. There is times in life where the trials of faith are great as in the time of Job’s own testing where he lost everything. His fire not only a real fire that consumed his people but his livestock. The enemy attacking with permission of God to test Job. Job a man of faith would not fall at Satan attack but would fall to the reminder of who God is.

We must remember to stand strong in faith when Satan attacks. First he only has the power God gives him. He only has the power of fire falling from heaven for destruction to take from a person during a trial. Yet it is the power of God that destroys the enemy. God’s saving power during a trial is awesome, but he does not always protect against the fire of the enemy. One might say if your Christian friend going through a trial you better not be in the way of Satan. You better know your own eternity. Yet Job loosing his servants and livestock was only half of his trial but it was with a fire from heaven by the enemy.

Faith can with stand the storm of the enemy though all else maybe robbed from you. To loose all is to give something up not voluntarily. To give it up with having it ripped from you to see if your faith will still stand. The enemy today uses these same tack ticks. Our faith should be stronger then what the devil can take from us. Yet often our tears flow over the things we can not gain back not realizing the promise of a better tomorrow is to come. Let us not be consumed by the enemies fire. Let our faith push back the flames of fire showing the world we are worthy to be called a child of God.

Dear Heavenly Father when you allow the enemy to test enable us to stand against His attack to over power his destructive force to control. In Jesus precious name, amen.

Continual Scripture Study for Devotion:

Job 1:20-22 KJV
(20) Then Job arose, and rent his mantle, and shaved his head, and fell down upon the ground, and worshipped,
(21) And said, Naked came I out of my mother's womb, and naked shall I return thither: the LORD gave, and the LORD hath taken away; blessed be the name of the LORD.
(22) In all this Job sinned not, nor charged God foolishly.
