Time Of Christ: Religous Zealots And Government
11/21/2015

Daily Devotions: by Christina Farris

John 11:43-53 KJV
(43) And when he thus had spoken, he cried with a loud voice, Lazarus, come forth.
(44) And he that was dead came forth, bound hand and foot with graveclothes: and his face was bound about with a napkin. Jesus saith unto them, Loose him, and let him go.
(45) Then many of the Jews which came to Mary, and had seen the things which Jesus did, believed on him.
(46) But some of them went their ways to the Pharisees, and told them what things Jesus had done.
(47) Then gathered the chief priests and the Pharisees a council, and said, What do we? for this man doeth many miracles.
(48) If we let him thus alone, all men will believe on him: and the Romans shall come and take away both our place and nation.
(49) And one of them, named Caiaphas, being the high priest that same year, said unto them, Ye know nothing at all,
(50) Nor consider that it is expedient for us, that one man should die for the people, and that the whole nation perish not.
(51) And this spake he not of himself: but being high priest that year, he prophesied that Jesus should die for that nation;
(52) And not for that nation only, but that also he should gather together in one the children of God that were scattered abroad.
(53) Then from that day forth they took counsel together for to put him to death.

Liberation at the cost of faith or faith a cost of liberation. I seem to be on a soap box for several months concerning the fact of liberation verses freedom of faith and obedience to God. In the story of Peter and Silas being free after being beaten by an angel of the Lord, to the law of Moses in the wilderness, and someone not discussed Esther a queen of nobility of another rule then religion but having religious faith. Our nation once thought to be Christian only found itself taking in people of different tribes and groups to the point one set of laws of faith was not enough, so the Constitution of our nation was formed to protect all groups of people. Meaning friends outside of religion of Christianity had to have been formed. Time of the Roman Empire in Israel was no longer under Jewish law though there was still an active religious law. That law still exist in the world yet it has no power over governmental law, but what God gives it through divine intervention such as Peter and Silas. It not the norm and yet you never know when you think what God does for us as people of faith.

Jesus caused a stir in the world for the world came to him because of the miracles and when Lazarus was raised though he was Jewish caused even a greater stir among the people so much that some zealots went and told the events to the priest which caused the leaders of the Jews to think on how can we destroy this man that does miracles. They were fearful of religious freedom being taken from them so much that they plot to destroy someone that appeared to be doing miracles of God, though religious people could not receive the truth because their hearts were harden. Religious leaders looked for a warrior king to destroy the government of Rome and not a government of free enterprise and religious freedom. Religious leaders like there comfort zone perhaps because even heathens support their work of charities. That meant more money in individual pockets.

Are believers compromising or allowing others their choice? It depends on who you ask in the religious world. However God said man gave up faith in him and worship the creation instead of God. When you think of that one has to ask if God realized that man was not worshipping him why did he not destroy. Same reason He allowed you to live before you got saved. God gives man time to recognize there is a creator of all things and that things made by their hand is not God. Children born into Idolatry never had a chance to know God without God’s intervention. Yet some reject even though idol can be knock over by man. To a child the knowledge of idols seem like they have power, but as they grow they see them no more then the Easter bunny. Yet for believers in Christ and God the reality is more then the story of fables but reality. Only a reality that God can bring to the heart of man, woman or child. It is not a reality that can be produced by man. Man can pray for a miracle but he can not produce a miracle without the hand of human kindness. And hand that is appreciated to all that understand that a helping hand in life is not hand out but a hand extended in human compassion. God intervention is beyond human compassion, it is those miracle that take place that can not be defined by a logical mind always.

God’s miracle by the hitting of the rock impossible to produce water, or turning water into wine. The spontaneous regeneration where there should be none. Yet does man need these miracles for a reality check or only to gain faith in God. Funny thing about God and faith, God is both individual and Corp guy. He thinks global and individual. So God curtails faith by these things. If God is for man then who can be against us. Our body grows old but faith increases, despite our memories and our reasoning.

Living in a world of religious freedom should not be a free among zealots, but a way of learning to cope in a world of opposition to Christianity. A time of waiting for the believer of old Idolaters to take hold of the Gospel message. Not forcing signs and wonders but allowing God to do the miracles.

Dear Heavenly Father increase our faith in you, and help the heathens come to know you. Thank you Lord for freedom that not always for you, but it can be used by you to bring about peace. In Jesus precious name, Amen.
