Daily Devotions:
by Christina Farris

Hebrews 11:4-6 KJV
4 By faith Abel offered unto God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain, by which he obtained witness that he was righteous, God testifying of his gifts: and by it he being dead yet speaketh.
5 By faith Enoch was translated that he should not see death; and was not found, because God had translated him: for before his translation he had this testimony, that he pleased God.
6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

Faith is one of those things God honors. Yet our faith in Him must also come with believing his instruction will save. It easy for me to say the stove is hot, please do not touch it. The consequences to those that touch the hot stove was they got burnt, but easier if one had believed the stove was actually hot in the first place and touched it and they still got burnt. It been easier if one had just believed and did not touched because I warned them. Many people believe in hell and heaven. Many people know that these are real places. Yet the issue is not whether they believe these exist it are they willing to believe to keep from getting burnt or are they getting burnt with knowing the remedy to the situation. I could preach all day about faith in Christ but it does no good if people fail to listen to God's plan of salvation from the begining of time. Abel performed the sacrifice that would please God. He believed God. His action were consider righteous but we know without faith one can not please God. Abraham's first act of faith was leaving to go on a journey. Abel's act of faith was perform a sacrifice.

Let's stop for a moment and think if I believe it God's way, then my attempt of fighting a war against evil and God would never work. No I am not God, I am looking and saying my works by itself can not save me. There is nothing I can attempt to do, except follow God's plan of salvation which begins with obedience of belief, second receive the sacrifice God has provided for me and that is his Son. Now with that in mind, I can not pay the debt of sin by my actions or by giving up of all my worldly possessions. I can only receive salvation through faith that Jesus death on the cross is enough payment for the entire world including mine. God's plan of salvation is enough. You need no other plan of salvation. Your plan and devil's plan of salvation will fail, but God's plan of salvation never fails. Proof is those that have gone in faith before, believing. The hope of the promise of God in other areas of our life not failing. Abraham knew what he hoped for was real. In old age after birth of his son, he knew without doubt. He knew when he seen a beautiful peace of land that was soon to be his, was given to him by his neighbors to live upon, that God had now provide for him. The promise came through another, but it was God who told him he had place prepared for him to live upon, that took him on a journey. Our journey begin with faith in God's salvation plan. Yet along the way of receiving our eternal hope comes benefits of faith in God and obedience to God. Faith in God's salvation plan through Christ death and resurrection comes first. Belief in God is the starting point, the second be salvation plan. The journey then begins in regards of hope springing anew in one's life despite circumstance, income, or closed doors. God will change your situation, take care of you, and even open locked doors that are beneficial to your life and dreams. Believing God is the first step to safe or/and protected travel in life. Believing in God's plans and following them is second but necessary to the hope of eternal life.

Dear Heavenly Father help the unbelief in your plan and ways. Increase the faith of those that desire to believe it your way so they do not get burnt. In Jesus precious name, Amen

Continual Scripture Study for Devotion:
Romans 3:22-26 KJV
22 Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference:
23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;
24 Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:
25 Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;
26 To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus.
