Every Sunday A Psalms: Class of 2015

Daily Devotions:by Christina Farris

Psalms 37:1-40 KJV
(1) A Psalm of David. Fret not thyself because of evildoers, neither be thou envious against the workers of iniquity.
(2) For they shall soon be cut down like the grass, and wither as the green herb.
(3) Trust in the LORD, and do good; so shalt thou dwell in the land, and verily thou shalt be fed.
(4) Delight thyself also in the LORD; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.
(5) Commit thy way unto the LORD; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass.
(6) And he shall bring forth thy righteousness as the light, and thy judgment as the noonday.
(7) Rest in the LORD, and wait patiently for him: fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way, because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass.
(8) Cease from anger, and forsake wrath: fret not thyself in any wise to do evil.
(9) For evildoers shall be cut off: but those that wait upon the LORD, they shall inherit the earth.
(10) For yet a little while, and the wicked shall not be: yea, thou shalt diligently consider his place, and it shall not be.
(11) But the meek shall inherit the earth; and shall delight themselves in the abundance of peace.
(12) The wicked plotteth against the just, and gnasheth upon him with his teeth.
(13) The Lord shall laugh at him: for he seeth that his day is coming.
(14) The wicked have drawn out the sword, and have bent their bow, to cast down the poor and needy, and to slay such as be of upright conversation.
(15) Their sword shall enter into their own heart, and their bows shall be broken.
(16) A little that a righteous man hath is better than the riches of many wicked.
(17) For the arms of the wicked shall be broken: but the LORD upholdeth the righteous.
(18) The LORD knoweth the days of the upright: and their inheritance shall be for ever.
(19) They shall not be ashamed in the evil time: and in the days of famine they shall be satisfied.
(20) But the wicked shall perish, and the enemies of the LORD shall be as the fat of lambs: they shall consume; into smoke shall they consume away.
(21) The wicked borroweth, and payeth not again: but the righteous sheweth mercy, and giveth.
(22) For such as be blessed of him shall inherit the earth; and they that be cursed of him shall be cut off.
(23) The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD: and he delighteth in his way.
(24) Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down: for the LORD upholdeth him with his hand.
(25) I have been young, and now am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread.
(26) He is ever merciful, and lendeth; and his seed is blessed.
(27) Depart from evil, and do good; and dwell for evermore.
(28) For the LORD loveth judgment, and forsaketh not his saints; they are preserved for ever: but the seed of the wicked shall be cut off.
(29) The righteous shall inherit the land, and dwell therein for ever.
(30) The mouth of the righteous speaketh wisdom, and his tongue talketh of judgment.
(31) The law of his God is in his heart; none of his steps shall slide.
(32) The wicked watcheth the righteous, and seeketh to slay him.
(33) The LORD will not leave him in his hand, nor condemn him when he is judged.
(34) Wait on the LORD, and keep his way, and he shall exalt thee to inherit the land: when the wicked are cut off, thou shalt see it.
(35) I have seen the wicked in great power, and spreading himself like a green bay tree.
(36) Yet he passed away, and, lo, he was not: yea, I sought him, but he could not be found.
(37) Mark the perfect man, and behold the upright: for the end of that man is peace.
(38) But the transgressors shall be destroyed together: the end of the wicked shall be cut off.
(39) But the salvation of the righteous is of the LORD: he is their strength in the time of trouble.
(40) And the LORD shall help them, and deliver them: he shall deliver them from the wicked, and save them, because they trust in him.

As the graduating class of 2015 take the toddling steps forward into the world, hopefully more prepared then students of years before, my hope for them is they put evil from them and seek those things which is good. Not to be envious of what evil people have but desire the things of God. God tells us in his world evil will arise and the devil is liar. Yet in time to come Godís people will inherit the earth. As talk of Nazism plagues the discovery channel making their leaders look good to the world, only to be fooled by the evil of their government policies and leadership of genocide of any and all people different then them. One has to remember it seems like there many governments that are just that evil. Time of the Roman Empire the king would kill anyone not in agreement with his form of government. Anyone in opposition to his policy. Does this tradition still plague our world, in one since it always will, until the coming of the Lord. It not just a nazi threat. When it all boils down it has to do with a way of life for the rich and powerful.

Most people live at peace even in troublesome times, unless they go against the powers of this world. As the class of 2015 step up and out into the world to make changes, may freedom in our nation reign and the reasons why our freedom stands remain. Yet in truth evil gets more sinister and goodness pass away for a time, but never to be forgotten or destroyed indefinitely . God will arise and remain as long as men and women honor God in their life, despite what they do, whether it be working in McDonalds, or working as a computer expert, business executive, doctor or lawyer. How the job market has changed no longer is the doctor the highest paying profession and in truth it probably never truly was. Yet it is something all people need.

As the class of 2015 choose to go into careers of wealth, some will make it and some will not. Hopefully what you choose will last you near a life time of curiosity and enjoyment, if not you looking at a long road of boredom and lack of enthusiasm for advancement in your chosen career. Some will never make it and others will arise to go far beyond what was expected of them. Yet one thing remains is a dying world that hungers not after God. Take Christ with you into the workplace and beyond your home and church. Take the love of God with you and His Spirit to guide and direct you. Do not leave God out of the equation because He still be watching over you to see what you will become whether by His Spirit or without. If you are without you find eternity in a place of destruction and not life. Donít be dismay when evil arises and when evil causes you to loose your paycheck, and your way of life.

If you had asked me did my life turn out like I thought it would when I graduated, and I would tell you no, I did not see myself running my own website. Someone told me the other day that they felt sorry for me and all I could think was why feel sorry, God has provided even if it has not been the way I wanted it. In truth life is good for the most part, yet evil and bad things do happen in life. Things out of our control, things out of desire and temptation.

Do not be a person that hunts for disasters unless you giving aid. Donít be a person that chases tornadoes unless you planning to help. Donít look for a blizzard because one might be head your way. Donít look for Tsunami, or hurricane, because you might not find a boat. Look for the things of God and His righteousness, and when the storms come and they will, you will find yourself standing on the word of God by faith in Christ Jesus. No one has to look for trouble because in truth it on every side. Having Christ in the center of these storms with you, because He is able and ready to take you through the valley, over the mountains and even across the ocean. As evil lurks remember Godís people will inherit the earth. Keep your eyes on Jesus and God will guide your steps. He will take you through. May God bless the Class of 2015.

Dear Heavenly Father help this generation coming up seek you in all they do no matter their life career path. May what they do glorify you. In Jesus precious name, Amen.
