The Testimony
5/15/2015

Daily Devotions:by Christina Farris

John 15:17-27 KJV
(17) These things I command you, that ye love one another.
(18) If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you.
(19) If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you.
(20) Remember the word that I said unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord. If they have persecuted me, they will also persecute you; if they have kept my saying, they will keep yours also.
(21) But all these things will they do unto you for my name's sake, because they know not him that sent me.
(22) If I had not come and spoken unto them, they had not had sin: but now they have no cloke for their sin.
(23) He that hateth me hateth my Father also.
(24) If I had not done among them the works which none other man did, they had not had sin: but now have they both seen and hated both me and my Father.
(25) But this cometh to pass, that the word might be fulfilled that is written in their law, They hated me without a cause.
(26) But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me:
(27) And ye also shall bear witness, because ye have been with me from the beginning.

The testimony of God has always come by His Spirit from Him to both the non believer and non believer. Even though there people that know of Godís existence, if they do not serve God, they have little time to hear about God, unless God is working on them to hear the truth about who He is. Go in a crowd of non believers, or non worshippers of God for a moment and how many times do you hear God name mention, unless in swearing. Facts are simple Godís people spread the stories of faith, and the non believer hears those stories and some of them come to believe because ot the testimony of the events surrounding the believer.

Are you a God chaser. A person who is chasing after God only to say no I seen the testimony of Godís people, but that is not the world I am in, or that is to extreme even with being a witness to believe. Faith is something that comes by hearing the word of God. Will if your testimony of God is true and they believe your testimony then they have received the Spirit of the testimony of truth. Yet it is more complex then that for the non believer. The evidence must be something not so easily duplicated by the modern world. With the technology today, it has to be an act of God seen by the naked eye , or heard by the human hear unto belief. One must remember God does not need man to testify of Him, He is able to testify of himself to the non believer. Saul on the road to Damascus, knew not that He persecuted Godís Son, or Godís people. Christ blinded him on the road and gave him testimony of who He was. Saul was a believer in God, but not Jesus until the day Christ spoke to him. A believer can not deny Godís ability to speak to manís heart. After all the Spirit of God had convicted them to get saved.

A minister of faith preaching the Gospel is more convinced often times then the average person in the pew of God, unless those in the pew of had a personal experience with God. That personal experience begins with faith, not always. It begins with the evidence of truth. Did Noah, did Abraham, Isaiah, or Jeremiah think themselves has lunatics before seeing the prophesy of their day being fulfilled. Noah was so convinced God spoken He built and ark. Abraham journeyed to the promise land. Moses lead people into the wilderness. Jeremiah seen the fall of Israel. Isaiah was said to be a prophet of unclean lips but he had a vision of heaven and before the throne. Is visions and God speaking enough to move you into action for God, maybe not with technology of this world. That is why God is able to do the convincing, for example He gave Moses all kinds of signs and wonders, yet doubting Moses still needed a spokesman, did he have doubts or just not sure about doing. Yet God used Moses to lead the people home.

When God uses a person to fulfill his will, his provision of allowing that person to come to the reality of who He is will happen. After Moses took an circumcised his sons on the way out of Egypt. To be before a Holy God is going to change a person. It does not mean the person will not make mistakes after, it means that change is coming because of faith and desire to please a God who proven His reality.

If God is able to send Jesus to send the comforter and both are able to testify of who God is, why do we need ministers. God sent ministers to teach others about who He is. We all are ministers of faith if we are a believer. There people that will not like us because we talk about God. Otherís will want to hear and some will even receive the testimony of truth.

If Godís Spirit has testified to man from the beginning of the human race then why should man deny God? Humanity needs that personal communication with God. With that God sent both His Son and His Spirit so that all that hear might believe. We have to understand God sends. One might instruct a person on how to build something and if instructions are followed it might be built correctly if the instructor knows how to build. God created all things, if God created all things then if He instructs you to build an ark, then the measurements are going to be correct, the way to build it will be correct, the only error will be the human fallacy.

Can God build an ark, he needs not man, but man needs to see Godís instructions are trustworthy. Noah ark saved eight people built by the instructions of God. Everyone has a design, not all designs will work. Peter, James and John fished from a boat. After fishing all night Jesus told his disciples to cast their net on the other side of the boat. What difference did it make for them to fish on the opposite side of the boat? Yet the disciples obeyed and were rewarded for their obedience with more fish then their nets could hold without breaking.

God calls us to love, calls us to testify to people not his. Yet Holy Spirit uses that testimony to tell people about Jesus and God the Father. If you in a crowd that rejects you then they also reject God if you are testifying about God and Jesus. Yet miracles and wonders performed often are testimony of who Jesus is. It is the beginning of faith. The Spirit uses these testimony to speak to the human heart, so the person can receive God, and Jesus.

Dear Heavenly Father, open the eyes of the blind so they can see the truth of your word, heal those that are sick we pray for, and may your Spirit go forth so that others will believe. We thank you for all you are going to do to convince the non believer of your reality. In Jesus precious name, Amen.
