After The National Day Of Prayer 2015: After The Cry
5/08/2015

Daily Devotions:by Christina Farris

2 Timothy 1:5 KJV
When I call to remembrance the unfeigned faith that is in thee, which dwelt first in thy grandmother Lois, and thy mother Eunice; and I am persuaded that in thee also.

The cry after the National Day Of Prayer should be to press on in faith in Jesus. It not about sitting by idly and being forced to go about daily in the direction not built by the hand of God, but going in the direction God has established for each of us. One of the downfalls of the next day begins with forgetting to teach the children of compassion and love of Jesus. If they know the compassion and love of Jesus, one never has to worry about them searching to long in the world for that same kind of love, because it does not exist. The unconditional price of love of the world is not always clearly seen until it is to late. If all our children see is the love from the world, they will never come to know the grace of God unless someone tells them.

The next day what are you doing the next day after kneeling before the throne of God with your country? Did you do it only to go about not demonstrate the love of God the next day? Did you go back to the sin of the world? How can we expect change if evil after repentance is not shunned. Not evil people shunned, but the evil acts of sin shunned. I can remember being young and naïve and listen to the other girls in school begin to talk about their immoral lives with their boyfriends. I remember sitting wonder how am I a witness beyond their tales. Then I to started dating and realized it was not so easy to be innocent. One of the most important things we can teach our young people is life is hard outside in the world, yet we are tempted as the world. As a believer temptation beckons only to be pressed down, or stomped upon if our desire is to follow God.

At a young age I had not learn to deficient between Christian behavior and world behavior because it was not taught in that manner it was more of a command ofjust do not do those things. Simple instruction of do not do, did not even work in the garden for God. God told Adam do not eat that fruit and Eve said take a bite. How much peer pressure says do it because we are, and peer pressure of the world does not change. Peer pressure of the Christian society is no different it is be like everyone else and do not sin.

The other day on NBC Local News I heard where they are taking five or ten people in an examine room together that have common ailments. It is supposedly therapy session during exam. Everyone treated the same in the exam room. All I could think this could be positive or negative. Then I remember the prisoners of war and the concentration death camps of how they lined people up. Where are we going and what is society doing?

Are we lining up ready for death camp of hell or going toward heaven individually. Are we pressing on for Jesus despite the crowd. Are we looking only to our parents convictions as being our own, or being only because of who our parents were. Faith is individual and God’s love and compassion to fit our needs is individualized. That daily commitment to God is not corporately, but individual. Every Christian in a crowd is different then the other even if God is ironing out our garment of faith we wear. Permanently pressing His mark on our lives.

How we respond to God individually is a commitment and promise of golden pathway or a walk to hell. Church is corporate worship fun for the moment and innocent only to be destroyed by the outside walk if not following God. Where are you today in you individual faith. Timothy faith was learned by his grandmother Lois and his mother Eunice, yet it was individual commitment. He might of received instruction from Paul but his walk was His own. I can not walk in your shoes for you nor you for me. Yet my legs will have to take me down the road unless you carry me. There better be a reason you are carrying me for God through Jesus carries our burdens of sin and buries them at the cross, but not for us to continue in sin, but to live a life for Him. God purpose to help us to begin anew when we commit to His way of living. Jesus carrying us is to enable us to walk the path of God. One can be like a pack of cigarettes all must be ignited, but only smoke one at a time. God might ignite more then one of us at one time, but I guarantee all of us will not all burn the same length or have the same strength. God empowers us individually though it might happen corporately.

Dear Heavenly Father Help us the day after to continue in faith, not corporately but individually with you. In Jesus precious name, Amen.
