Ezra 9:1-15 KJV
(1) Now when these things were done, the princes came to me, saying, The people of Israel, and the priests, and the Levites, have not separated themselves from the people of the lands, doing according to their abominations, even of the Canaanites, the Hittites, the Perizzites, the Jebusites, the Ammonites, the Moabites, the Egyptians, and the Amorites.
(2) For they have taken of their daughters for themselves, and for their sons: so that the holy seed have mingled themselves with the people of those lands: yea, the hand of the princes and rulers hath been chief in this trespass.
(3) And when I heard this thing, I rent my garment and my mantle, and plucked off the hair of my head and of my beard, and sat down astonied.
(4) Then were assembled unto me every one that trembled at the words of the God of Israel, because of the transgression of those that had been carried away; and I sat astonied until the evening sacrifice.
(5) And at the evening sacrifice I arose up from my heaviness; and having rent my garment and my mantle, I fell upon my knees, and spread out my hands unto the LORD my God,
(6) And said, O my God, I am ashamed and blush to lift up my face to thee, my God: for our iniquities are increased over our head, and our trespass is grown up unto the heavens.
(7) Since the days of our fathers have we been in a great trespass unto this day; and for our iniquities have we, our kings, and our priests, been delivered into the hand of the kings of the lands, to the sword, to captivity, and to a spoil, and to confusion of face, as it is this day.
(8) And now for a little space grace hath been shewed from the LORD our God, to leave us a remnant to escape, and to give us a nail in his holy place, that our God may lighten our eyes, and give us a little reviving in our bondage.
(9) For we were bondmen; yet our God hath not forsaken us in our bondage, but hath extended mercy unto us in the sight of the kings of Persia, to give us a reviving, to set up the house of our God, and to repair the desolations thereof, and to give us a wall in Judah and in Jerusalem.
(10) And now, O our God, what shall we say after this? for we have forsaken thy commandments,
(11) Which thou hast commanded by thy servants the prophets, saying, The land, unto which ye go to possess it, is an unclean land with the filthiness of the people of the lands, with their abominations, which have filled it from one end to another with their uncleanness.
(12) Now therefore give not your daughters unto their sons, neither take their daughters unto your sons, nor seek their peace or their wealth for ever: that ye may be strong, and eat the good of the land, and leave it for an inheritance to your children for ever.
(13) And after all that is come upon us for our evil deeds, and for our great trespass, seeing that thou our God hast punished us less than our iniquities deserve, and hast given us such deliverance as this;
(14) Should we again break thy commandments, and join in affinity with the people of these abominations? wouldest not thou be angry with us till thou hadst consumed us, so that there should be no remnant nor escaping?
(15) O LORD God of Israel, thou art righteous: for we remain yet escaped, as it is this day: behold, we are before thee in our trespasses: for we cannot stand before thee because of this.

One of the sins of nation of Israel was marrying heathens before they became believers in God. God never intend his people to not walk among the heathen of this world. Jesus walked among the non Jews as well as His own country men. Yet we can not deny that God intent was for us to be moral example to the world. A moral example of cleanness of the spirit. True holiness. Israel could not walk in the perfection of God and they knew God. It only takes one not in obedience to God to cause the domino effect. Monkey see, monkey do, monkey did. With the effect of monkey see, monkey do and monkey did, mankind has the knowledge of evil. If one lives a purified society, it nice. No one has to worry about who one’s wife talks to, or who their children play with. The perfection of God society is a society that walks under the authority of God and follows not evil.

The utopia society is non existent. Amish society, and some of the other groups that are similar live in a purity life style, but even some of their leaders go corrupt because of power over the people. No one is perfect and all sin and fall short of the glory of God. Yet some sin seems worse then others. Yet all sin in the eyes of God is equal. The call of repentance is to both the heathen and the believer. Does the church world repent, or do not teach their children not to marry outside their faith and the reasons why. Do they teach their children to educate the people that marriage into a faith does not make one a Christian or a Jew. Faith is not being bred into group, It not about integration but liberty through faith in God and Christ Jesus.

Israel had sinned by marrying into other tribes, never grasping the sins of groups that were not their own. What agreements of marriage to those in foreign lands for better trade, would cost Israel as far as picking up evil ways of other nations that were against the law of God that they practice and held true too. The sins of the father, the sins, of the children. Jacob wife Rachel hid her father idols only to die later in child birth because of unrepentance and not casting out the idols of her father. Sin causes death, yet sin might not cause your death today, but it might cause your death tomorrow.

The hope of change the hope of faith, the hope of a pure society that follows the law of God is only a dream of heaven’s reality, and earth’s corruption. God’s people go to heaven, God’s people will descend with a shout into the new earth. Without God living on the New Jerusalem then there no way for perfection. Yet evil will not abound. Evil will be destroyed and the ability o perform evil will be gone.

Israel repented before God, repentance because of sin as a nation, as individual. Out nation is called to prayer and repentance. It is called to get right with God. Called to live in purity of faith in Him. Yet the heathens rage and war in our land against those things they consider just. One war evil, only to do evil. One repentance only to slid backwards into sin. Yet God’s mercy is great on the believer. God’s mercy allows for the sins of the world to even cause corruption among the innocent long enough either to cause repentance from sin, or cause a time met for destruction or the day of evil to be destroyed. Lot, a man of God a witness in Sodom and Gomorrah only to be brought to his own repentance as he was saved out of the land before brimstone fell and destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah. Yet the wrath of God poured out did not keep Lot’s daughters from sinning. If God’s mercy is on the children of Lot, then how much more is God’s mercy on the children of Israel for their sin. How much more on the Christian who repentance and falls.

May our unworthiness be destroyed, and our faith be healed by the power of the Holy Spirit ever working in the believers life, to keep our feet from slipping, yet knowing we have an advocator through Jesus Christ our Lord. Both Israel and the Gentiles seen a need for intercessor. Both need a go between until they got to know who God was, and realized they too wanted their own personal relationship with God. Israel needed Moses, Job need intercessor to plead his cause to God but found none among his friends.

Dear Heavenly Father let it be known in the world that faith in you and a right relationship with you is so important for fellowship with you. You made a way through Christ Jesus as High Priest.. In Jesus precious name, Amen.
