Daily Devotions: by Christina Farris

Hebrews 1:1-14 KJV
(1) God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets,
(2) Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds;
(3) Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high;
(4) Being made so much better than the angels, as he hath by inheritance obtained a more excellent name than they.
(5) For unto which of the angels said he at any time, Thou art my Son, this day have I begotten thee? And again, I will be to him a Father, and he shall be to me a Son?
(6) And again, when he bringeth in the firstbegotten into the world, he saith, And let all the angels of God worship him.
(7) And of the angels he saith, Who maketh his angels spirits, and his ministers a flame of fire.
(8) But unto the Son he saith, Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: a sceptre of righteousness is the sceptre of thy kingdom.
(9) Thou hast loved righteousness, and hated iniquity; therefore God, even thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows.
(10) And, Thou, Lord, in the beginning hast laid the foundation of the earth; and the heavens are the works of thine hands:
(11) They shall perish; but thou remainest; and they all shall wax old as doth a garment;
(12) And as a vesture shalt thou fold them up, and they shall be changed: but thou art the same, and thy years shall not fail.
(13) But to which of the angels said he at any time, Sit on my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool?
(14) Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation?

Never in all the days of the prophets did God ever say come sit down in my kingdom and I give you a seat on the throne. The throne chair of Jesus was always there. His Son sitting in paradise waiting for his time to come to save the people of their sins. He came first in the form of the word of God as it was spoken and then came a second time as a Baby. And the third Jesus comes it will be to bring his people home. Jesus was special, he was not a man first but the word of God spoken. He came as a man to demonstrate the word. To teach how to live and to be. The word always exalting the Father, yet the Father would be exalted through the Son.

When comes to faith in God’s word it must begin simply as being always and not maybe always. God either been from the beginning and will be to the end or will never be. Those that refuse to believe in God miss something so precious to human life. They may walk for a time, but they miss that connection to their creator, you loves them. A connection bridged through the promise of his word to send the redeemer Immanuel.

Even when the earth is destroyed and heaven God will remain. God promise are true and so He will destroy all things created, but his people will have eternal life. We will see the world tranform anew, and the heaven being created. Yet our minds will only see these things if we believe. God does not take away his word, but takes away the things that impure to cleanse the earth surface once more to begin anew. As scientist comb through space with a telescope to see how stars are made and perhaps how life begins on other planets, the fact remains God has a part in it. God created the earth to reproduce and recreate its only process, so why should humans be surprised at the star burst, or potential life on another planet.

As one receives Christ as Savior and Lord they become a new creation just like the earth will one day be reborn. God stripes away our sin and enables us to see the price He paid for you and me with the life of his Son. A life that would continue on, with the resurrection. What can man destroy that God can not heal and recreate. A broken vase has little purpose until you see someone take the glass and use it in a craft project. God takes our broken life and recreates a person usable for stain glass art. Stain with his blood that marks us as His child and is the only God sees is that we were bought with the price of the Lamb, saying we are his child to transform and make into the people He wants us to be.

Dear Heavenly as think of hope to a dying world, let us remember your desire to mold us into stain glass window art. In Jesus precious name, Amen.
