February's Theme: The Romancing Of Our Savior by Christina Farris 2/01/2016The Romancing of our Savior is what causes the human spirit to desire to grow strong in the walk with Christ. Without the wooing of our Savior one would never desire the word of God beyond the first hearing of the word of God. Timeless treasure of God's word alone, speaks to the heart of the listener who choose to not only obey but believe. Many books sell on the shelf of the supermarket, bookstore, and online media stores, but few books are worth rereading. It is that book that draws one attention beyond the simple holiday Christmas story and Easter Story but all year through. The revolution of the romance of our Savior must begin in the heart of man to receive truth. This month is also the beginning of Lent. Ash Wednesday being the third of the month and continuing tell Easter. Yet this year instead of concentration on sin, we are looking at the continual covenant of our Savior Jesus Christ. The covenant that does not end, not even after we die. It is the covenant established even with the law, but found at the cross. Our step of turning away from sin and continuing on in faith. Turning from the mourning and weeping for mistakes and picking up and moving forward in a right relationship with Jesus. |
