Yet we often ignore the obvious things of this world, giving little heed or thanksgiving in the heart or with our voices. I think of times I enjoyed as a child sitting on a fishing pier catching fish. It was opportunity to worship God. A time to meditate and be thankful for the works of His hands. It was probably the easiest time to concentrate on God. As life dishes out many different things, one either learns to worship God through a crisis or fall apart. Depending on the crisis, and the time in one’s life how they react to God. There were times in my life it was easy to praise to God, even through illness. Then there were times I just wanted cry or cuss, or be angry. Anger will destroy a person faster then thanksgiving in the heart. I am studying two passages this morning. One out of Psalms is my traditional Sunday Passage until we are done with Psalms and The Triumphal entry or Parade Route as one might call it. Yet none the less these to passages can be examined together. Jesus is accept as King by the crowd and the waving of palm branches and the spreading of their robes of those on the parade route toward the Holy Temple in Jerusalem. People that were praising and excited by his entry, would be by the end of the week, ready to crucify Jesus. One might ask what would anger a crowd? The fact that a person would not take the thrown or power given to him by the crowd. It nice to hear a thousand voices cheer you on or even ten thousand or more. Yet in reality is that God’s will. Often people cheer God on, only to crucify God with anger in our life. Especially when things do not go a persons or a crowds way. Today as we celebrate Palm Sunday we can not forget to rejoice for Christ became and was the eternal king with His resurrection. Yet He was an earthly king the Pharisees and Sadducees wanted to destroy. The feared of an uprising of a crowd would mean their peace and safety with war would be taken from the religious leaders in power. They were not willing to give up their peace, safety and power for Jesus. Yet the works of his hand demonstrated his power and who He was. The very stones would cry out if the people did not welcome their coming king. This parade was done by spiritual power. The devil wants to stop things done by the Spirit of God. If this very act of prophesy had not been carried out then the stones of the earth would of cried out. David cried to have God voice not to be silent, and yet the world around Him in all of God’s glory told the works of God’s hands. The flowers lifted up their voices with their blooms. Yet David was asking God in his sorrow of his sin, not to be silent. Yet he turns around and ask God to give his enemy his due. Our disobedience to God makes us devils and our obedience makes us angels of light. Are we asking for God’s correction when we disobey Him. Are we asking for His voice when the world of his creation is never silent. Do you think a bomb can destroy the breath of God. It might destroy the works of God’s hands for a time, but the works of God’s hands will grow again. David by the end of his Psalm after dealing with the emotion of the uprising of the enemy found praise on his lips concerning the faith of God’s people. God’s people do get angry, do feel sorrow and pain like everyone else. Yet one has to ask what is the joy of the Lord but to know that with being God’s people there is hope of salvation and deliverance. Jesus was going through the triumph before the enemy destroy Him. Yet the hope of life eternal sprung anew with the resurrection. Today Christians everywhere celebrate Jesus as king and Lord of one’s life. That if we did not praise God with our lips the earth would and does praise Him. The devil learned that day his time was short. Did the Pharisees remember that destruction was coming to the temple spoken by Jesus when the walls fell down. Did they remember that to be against God’s Savior is being enemy of God. The prophesy of the triumphal entry spoken in Zechariah, (the daily verse for yesterday). God speaks to us through the works of His hands. Yesterday I seen two groundhogs and squirrel together. Neither bother by the other. Can the lion lay down with the lamb. Will peace come with two groups deciding peace and safety is more important and fighting against those things that causes harm to both groups. In truth only for liberal mind people. Yet God has declared it. God has declared a time of peace. God’s word delivered by prophesy is in question by the state of Israel right now. A declaration of peace does not mean there is peace. It means two groups of people are working toward peace of agreeing to disagree and working on things common to them in protection of each other, allowing God to decide who is right and wrong. Jesus speaks the word of prophesy, yet even He knew through prophesy He must die for a nation. Death to the cross all week long. Come and take the journey once more whether you study with me or someone else, God will bless you for it. What is the reason for the triumph and the crushing of God’s people only to bring a great victory through the resurrection. Dear Heavenly Father thank you for the reminder of words that are misguided by David and his victory over them, that came with knowing who he was as your child. Help us to understand our own victory through your Son. That the crowd might rejoice with us for a moment for the enemy does and will plot against us. In Jesus precious name, Amen.
