God's Timing

Luke 13:10-17 KJV
(10) And he was teaching in one of the synagogues on the sabbath.
(11) And, behold, there was a woman which had a spirit of infirmity eighteen years, and was bowed together, and could in no wise lift up herself.
(12) And when Jesus saw her, he called her to him, and said unto her, Woman, thou art loosed from thine infirmity.
(13) And he laid his hands on her: and immediately she was made straight, and glorified God.
(14) And the ruler of the synagogue answered with indignation, because that Jesus had healed on the sabbath day, and said unto the people, There are six days in which men ought to work: in them therefore come and be healed, and not on the sabbath day.
(15) The Lord then answered him, and said, Thou hypocrite, doth not each one of you on the sabbath loose his ox or his ass from the stall, and lead him away to watering?
(16) And ought not this woman, being a daughter of Abraham, whom Satan hath bound, lo, these eighteen years, be loosed from this bond on the sabbath day?
(17) And when he had said these things, all his adversaries were ashamed: and all the people rejoiced for all the glorious things that were done by him.

The hope of a better tomorrow is in the heart of everyone that is inflicted in pain. Yet often tomorrow never gets there. With tomorrow never gets there pain increases and lack of sleep, loss of ability to control frustration, and the pain and sickness continues. Yet the hope of a better tomorrow does not end. The healing of Jesus does not always come till His timing. The woman with the bowed back, bent perhaps to many years tending a garden, or doing some task that required a lot of bending. Yet she was suffering for eighteen years when Jesus seen her across the room in the synagogue and he had compassion calling her to Him. She did not call to Him, He called to her. He sought her out to heal her. Had the woman resigned herself to her illness, or had she placed her hope in her future home beyond the grave that she asked not anymore. Why had she not gone to the pool of Bethsaida and dipped herself. I do not have the answer why healing had not happened before, but the moment was right for healing for Jesus called to her.

Imagine the calling for healing. The calling that say it is your turn today to be healed. That is exactly what it was for the lady with the bowed back. She was bent over and could not even stand straighten up. Yet Jesus said your are free of your illness. The Pharisees got upset. This woman was healed on the Sabbath, yet Jesus rebukes them once more and they feel shame, because this woman was a Israelite and they would of loosen their ox or horse and water it, yet had rebuke Jesus for healing her. Why should God not deliver one of his own and give her a drink of faith on the Sabbath. God increased the faith through the healing through his Son. When Jesus said you are well, then that was all that was needed to strength faith that was already there.

Jesus timing is always perfect the wait for this woman of eighteen years must of seen trivial after the healing. For it was worth being told by Jesus you are healed. One day for all those that believe Jesus will call you to be with Him in glory and when He does He will heal you. However if you only wait is eighteen or fifty years and your healing comes then you faith is strengthen by the Lord. If you think of eternity has not for sure then why not wait and see what God might and can do before your page is turn. God desires to strengthen your faith in His Word and in His promise. He wants you to have the sweet assurance of faith that Christ brought to the world. That Christ continues to bring to the world because he is the Spirit of Prophecy to all that believe. He is the hope of glory to all that will trust. Can you wait for Jesus to call you for healing either here or in Heaven? It better then the burning and torment in hell. Ask God to strengthen and heal you but remember if it not his timing, His will be done.

Dear Heavenly Father give me strength to wait for your timing in every aspect of my life. Give me strength for each day and the patience of longsuffering, knowing your timing is to build faith and make the devil feel shame. In Jesus precious name, Amen.
