Time Of Christ: Jesus Had Plenty Of Ladies
3/14/2015

Daily Devotions:by turtle30c

Luke 8:1-4 KJV
(1) And it came to pass afterward, that he went throughout every city and village, preaching and shewing the glad tidings of the kingdom of God: and the twelve were with him,
(2) And certain women, which had been healed of evil spirits and infirmities, Mary called Magdalene, out of whom went seven devils,
(3) And Joanna the wife of Chuza Herod's steward, and Susanna, and many others, which ministered unto him of their substance.
(4) And when much people were gathered together, and were come to him out of every city, he spake by a parable:

Luke 8:19-21 KJV
(19) Then came to him his mother and his brethren, and could not come at him for the press.
(20) And it was told him by certain which said, Thy mother and thy brethren stand without, desiring to see thee.
(21) And he answered and said unto them, My mother and my brethren are these which hear the word of God, and do it.

I do not think of Jesus as being a man chasing the women in the sexual sense, but a man that no doubt enjoyed the friendship of women. After how many woman can say a man does not like his belly filled with good food. I have never heard any man complain if a woman offered him food to eat, unless he just was not hungry. Or any man that complained if a woman cleaned up after him.

Jesus never married as many men do, by picking a wife and settling down and having children. He was already married as God’s Son to the people He would lead call the bride of the Lamb or the church. Yet Jesus valued women. He did not sell them, He did not abuse them and if anything he protected them even when they were caught in sin by religious zealots.

When his mother and sisters came to him to help him, he said my mother and sisters are already here speaking of the crowd. Speaking of the body of believers. Had they believed because of the story of the virgin birth that no doubt would have been told among the women. Did the women long for this day for their salvation would come through childbearing. There salvation prophesied long before woman touched the earth outside the garden. Her punishment for sin was the pain of child birth, that is now elevated by many drugs. Yet the pain of having children is the children breaking the heart of their mother. No doubt that day Mary so proud yet maybe a little taken back as Jesus spoke of those who had waited on him and followed him, as being his mother and sisters. Yet in one since He was telling His mother he was okay, these people had compassion on his needs. God’s provision had been through those He forgave and healed. Those he blessed and protected and yet he could turn water into wine and stone into bread. Take a few loaves and few fish and make a fine meal for five thousand and more. Yet no one mentions those who tended to the needs of Jesus while He walked the earth. Caring for Him because of their devotion to Him as a believer that He was the Son of God.

There have been men who have tried claiming to be Jesus that have been nothing but enslaver of women. Stealing even the women from their husband’s they had married too before joining an occult claiming to be Christian but they are every bit the devil or antichrist. Men that use and abuse women are a type of antichrist. David protected Abigail from her wicked husband. Yet he became a type of antichrist with Bathesheba, even to having a good man killed by placing him on the frontlines of battle just so he could take his wife, when he had plenty of woman.

Those that save and protect women are like Jesus and those that abuse are like the antichrist who has no respect for the consequence of their action or the effect it has on their faith with God. Some even using God for power to get many ladies, only to find themselves headed for the direction called hell.

Jesus protected the adulteress woman, the woman that anointed his feet, and healed them. Gave them dignity. How does your mate or male friends make you feel? Good or bad? Used and abused or loved and cherished? Does your church make you feel loved or abused. Do you love your church you attend or do you sit wanting to leave. Why do you want to leave or stay? Is it God’s call in your life to stay, or to leave. How can you demonstrate love to the church. Can you love the church as Christ loves you. Can you love those that hurt you? Jesus was willing to defend the weak and the sinner are you willing too, or are you going to allow the devil to trample those that want to learn more about Jesus? Do you want to help the person searching for Jesus. Will you allow people to love you like Jesus allowed those around him during the year of popularity to love him? I am leaving you something to think on. Not everything in life is about sex. Good friendship and love can be without the physical union of sex. It can be with two parties caring for one another.

Dear Heavenly Father help us to care for others in fellowship as Christ loved those that followed Him. Teach us to reach out in love by showing our love by caring about the needs of others. In Jesus precious name, Amen.
