Matthew 7:14-20 KJV
(14) Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.
(15) Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.
(16) Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?
(17) Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit.
(18) A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.
(19) Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.
(20) Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.

God use all kinds of things in our world to help us understand His word better. That is the Spirit of God teaching each of us individually. I had a dream years ago of a big crowd all around me. As that crowd continued on down the highway, it became like the bottle neck of the old cocoa cola glass bottles. I came to a country bridge and was unsure if my truck could cross the little country bridge. It was one of them back road bridges that said only about 3000 pounds. Not knowing what the truck weighed I was unclear if I could go forward. The decision was after getting across would I go through the deep woods or up and around the woods. Yet I had to decided first if the truck could cross the bridge. It was not a deep ravine on either side, but the bridge was put in perhaps because of the creek that use to flow there that occasionally got deep. The bridge made crossing so much easier but there was weight limit. It was not designed for a school bus, or a tractor trailer. It was designed for a personal vehicle. In truth many bridges in life make roads easier, but often they are only meant for individual to cross. The Spiritual journey is like that. When in a church group or gathering, you are like all in the church if you doing what everyone else is doing. The Spiritual journey though may begin in a crowd it is definitely individualized. Not all in the crowd is following God. Not all individuals follow Christ. Not all individuals rely on the Holy Spirit to provide the bridge for the crossing to the other side.

The narrow gate to God can only be crossover by the help of the Word of God and the Spirit. We must first come to Christ, come to the knowledge of the Word of God in order to follow God’s Spirit on after we receive Jesus as Lord. Many follow God as far as clean living. They follow their idea of what they think God wants yet never receiving His Word and Savior Jesus Christ. The truck that sits waiting to cross the bridge has to decide to trust the bridge provided or go another way. Many choose to do the word of God because of soundness of speech but never cross the bridge provided by God. The bridge being His Word and Spirit. The Spirit providing the word to our hearts the need for a Savior. If we never cross the bridge and receive Jesus, then we never are going to see what on the other side of the bridge. You never know about God’s provision, protection first hand. You will never know the value of salvation and the security only Christ can bring if you never accept the message of the Gospel as truth and receive Jesus as Lord.

There is many false prophets in the world. Many that teach people to follow, but never teach them that mimicry can cost you your life. Many come in sheep clothing as actors on a stage, and you have to decide in life, are you actor or believer. Most people know how to tell another what they want to hear, even to never voicing an opinion to the crowd.

Dear Heavenly Father send the revival Spirit of the need to follow Christ individually with faith and not with good acting. In Jesus precious name, Amen.
