Son Of God 06/07/2016
Daily Devotions: by Christina FarrisLuke 1:30-35 KJV
(30) And the angel said unto her, Fear not, Mary: for thou hast found favour with God.
(31) And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name JESUS.
(32) He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest: and the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his father David:
(33) And he shall reign over the house of Jacob for ever; and of his kingdom there shall be no end.
(34) Then said Mary unto the angel, How shall this be, seeing I know not a man?
(35) And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God.

To speak on the Son of God one can not leave out His origins in the flesh. That He would rule over Jacob/Israel. Interesting enough though Jesus came to set the Gentiles free, He also came to rule in Israel. Yet not all prophesy is fulfilled at his first coming by birth. He only became recognized as a King through His resurrection and taking the throne in Heaven as well as temple with coming of the Holy Spirit recorded in Acts. Though Christ taught in the temple he was not chief while he walked the earth of the temple. His classroom for his students were in the fields around the towns and villages as well as the city streets.
Jesus would be called the Son of God and not God. He would be called by a name Israel knew as him being Israelite by birth and a chosen heir to the kingdom of God. Yet Jesus was more then heir and chosen one by being Israelite. He was literally God’s Son by the Holy Sprit Hovering over Mary. He came because God loved us.
Dear Heavenly Father thank you for love for sending your Son Jesus. In Jesus precious name, Amen.
