The Testimony Of Witnesses
7/29/2015

Daily Devotions: by Christina Farris

1 John 5:1-9 KJV (1) Whosoever believeth that Jesus is the Christ is born of God: and every one that loveth him that begat loveth him also that is begotten of him. (2) By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God, and keep his commandments. (3) For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous. (4) For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith. (5) Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God? (6) This is he that came by water and blood, even Jesus Christ; not by water only, but by water and blood. And it is the Spirit that beareth witness, because the Spirit is truth. (7) For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one. (8) And there are three that bear witness in earth, the Spirit, and the water, and the blood: and these three agree in one. (9) If we receive the witness of men, the witness of God is greater: for this is the witness of God which he hath testified of his Son.

Jesus is the Messiah that was to come and is to come. The blood and the water testify that He was man. The Spirit of God at his baptism testified that He was His Son. Water and the blood poured out on the cross of Calvary. The blood and water were only things that could testify of his humanity. Yet Christ died the earth shook, the veil was ripped and deceased came up out of their grave. The dead that lived again testifying to the reality of God. Christ own resurrection would be testimony enough that it was possible for man to live again as God and Christ had promised. The Spirit of God gives testimony of heaven to the believer, and testimony of Christ. Belivers testifies of a crucifixion and resurrection. God testifies to our hearts that Christ is alive.

The testimony is necessary. Yet only those with visions of Christ know of He still alive or those that believe the testimony of the Spirit. The sleepless generation of believers, fail to realize the rise of the antichrist. The antichrist denying the reality of physical resurrection or the reality of Christ coming in the flesh and more plague our world and is increasing with the removable of our Bibles from public school and from the swearing in our court system is liable to come. The generation coming caring little about religion or faith. The value of truth departing. The refusal of truth standing will cause our nation to collapse. We thought it was devastating to see the twin towers fall, we will see more to fall and not in a physical since, but economic, global depression, that can not survive unless the foundation of God is restored in our society. The testimony of God is greater and His work testifies of hope and renewal for tomorrow. Our nation is God fearing in certain generations, but not all generations. Every time a generation misses out on faith, God has to arise in the heart of man with a revival or great awakening.

Dear Heavenly Father give us strength for each day for each week that Christ in the flesh and in incorruptible flesh might testify in our hearts the reality of the hope of eternal life despite how people try to get rid of you, may you testify once more to our nation and to the countries around us. In Jesus precious name, Amen. .
