Every Sunday A Psalms: Before the King
7/26/2015

Daily Devotions: by Christina Farris

Psalms 45:1-17 KJV
(1) To the chief Musician upon Shoshannim, for the sons of Korah, Maschil, A Song of loves. My heart is inditing a good matter: I speak of the things which I have made touching the king: my tongue is the pen of a ready writer.
(2) Thou art fairer than the children of men: grace is poured into thy lips: therefore God hath blessed thee for ever.
(3) Gird thy sword upon thy thigh, O most mighty, with thy glory and thy majesty.
(4) And in thy majesty ride prosperously because of truth and meekness and righteousness; and thy right hand shall teach thee terrible things.
(5) Thine arrows are sharp in the heart of the king's enemies; whereby the people fall under thee.
(6) Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: the sceptre of thy kingdom is a right sceptre.
(7) Thou lovest righteousness, and hatest wickedness: therefore God, thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows.
(8) All thy garments smell of myrrh, and aloes, and cassia, out of the ivory palaces, whereby they have made thee glad.
(9) Kings' daughters were among thy honourable women: upon thy right hand did stand the queen in gold of Ophir.
(10) Hearken, O daughter, and consider, and incline thine ear; forget also thine own people, and thy father's house;
(11) So shall the king greatly desire thy beauty: for he is thy Lord; and worship thou him.
(12) And the daughter of Tyre shall be there with a gift; even the rich among the people shall intreat thy favour.
(13) The king's daughter is all glorious within: her clothing is of wrought gold.
(14) She shall be brought unto the king in raiment of needlework: the virgins her companions that follow her shall be brought unto thee.
(15) With gladness and rejoicing shall they be brought: they shall enter into the king's palace.
(16) Instead of thy fathers shall be thy children, whom thou mayest make princes in all the earth.
(17) I will make thy name to be remembered in all generations: therefore shall the people praise thee for ever and ever.

To write with the flow of the pen. To write as the Psalmist desire to allow the words to flow smoothly to write in descriptive prose, to give the words life of expression. Anyone that can read and write has the ability to make words come alive on paper. It is something taught in school or learning, yet some never have the ability to bring life to their words in description. A friend of mine has the ability to give a panoramic view of description of the world she has seen. She can give it has if she was living there with all the beauty around her. To write as she spoke would of given great detail for the pen to write out in picture fashion. As I think of her great detail to describe her surroundings, I truly found myself to be a loss of words of my own making to describe in such fashion the details of just a simple wedding or gathering. There is a simple point to this on growing description of panoramic view of an orator. This psalmist that is writing wants that pen to flow with vast array of that descriptive art with sights and sounds of the things he sees that reminds him of what God’s kingdom must be like. This Psalmist is thought to be at the time of Solomon. No doubt he is looking at the throne room and the beauty he sees and desiring to express his thoughts so that they overflow with the pen. How much what we see in life is only a reflection of what is to come in all the glory of God.

King Jesus will put all his enemies to their knees. King Jesus will put all to the sword that precedes from His mouth. The tongue is said to be a sharp two edge sword. And every knee will bow to Jesus and confess Jesus as Lord to the glory of God the Father. The virgin daughters of the wives of foreign lands come in arrayed in gold. The gentile wife children will enter the throne room. The Holy Church doming into the throne room arrayed in gold. Arrayed in beauty as virgin church. A church holy and undefiled by the worship of pagan idols. Christ describes the virgin daughters as having oil in the lamps and some did not that when the groom came those absent of oil for their lamps, and they missed the call of the bridegroom.

The palace of God all will enter not all will remain before the throne of God. God word being true about those being cast out. The word being true about those remaining with God. No matter how descriptive the writers of scripture gets, it changes not the simple truth of the word of God. Solomon palace was glorious, but God’s throne is even more glorious. God throne as it is mentioned in scripture is surrounded by every nation and every tongue of believers. The sword of God defeating the enemy as they fall to their knees. The believer already prostrated before the Lord in humbleness of the grace of God. Let us not forget the grace of God in which we stand before Him. As His word goes out in battle to defeat the enemy.

Dear Heavenly Father may your word stand and cause the enemies around about us to fall to their knees, know you are the God of the past, future and present. In Jesus precious name, Amen.
