Time Of Christ: Are You Neurologically Spiritually Moving?
7/25/2015

Daily Devotions: by Christina Farris

Luke 4:14-22 KJV
(14) And Jesus returned in the power of the Spirit into Galilee: and there went out a fame of him through all the region round about.
(15) And he taught in their synagogues, being glorified of all.
(16) And he came to Nazareth, where he had been brought up: and, as his custom was, he went into the synagogue on the sabbath day, and stood up for to read.
(17) And there was delivered unto him the book of the prophet Esaias. And when he had opened the book, he found the place where it was written,
(18) The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised,
(19) To preach the acceptable year of the Lord.
(20) And he closed the book, and he gave it again to the minister, and sat down. And the eyes of all them that were in the synagogue were fastened on him.
(21) And he began to say unto them, This day is this scripture fulfilled in your ears.
(22) And all bare him witness, and wondered at the gracious words which proceeded out of his mouth. And they said, Is not this Joseph's son?

The Spirit of God vs. the Spirit of man. The spirit of man is what compels man to move forward. Science might call the Spirit neurological impulses, yet it more then the impulses that control the human being, it is the spirit that was given to them by God the Father from the first breath into Adam’s mouth. The Spirit compels us forward. Compels us to do the things we do, it is the spiritual neurological system. It is the path we choose to take despite God and despite the devil warring for our spirit. Upon salvation that war is over for our soul for God seals us by the Spirit and the devil no longer has the right to possess or to take control of your being. It does not mean that old devil will not torment you or test you, but he no longer has the right to have control. Yet God’s spirit does not stop you from choosing your own path. When the devil takes control he chooses to control and not allow your soul freedom, only one solution that is Jesus who sets us to liberty to do not just the will of God but our own will to move forward.

God gives us His Spirit to commune and lead us. We move sometimes by the power of God and sometime by own power. Yet the power of the Spirit is a gift from God from the beginning of time. Yet to be sealed by God’s Spirit with belief is God’s marking that you are His by spiritual belief, not just by physical life.

The power of God moved Jesus to into Galilee and word spread about Jesus. He went to Nazareth and taught in the synagogue. He taught the acceptable year of the Lord. That he came to preach to he poor, to heal the blind, to preach deliverance to the captives, and to set those that were bruised at liberty. God called us all to the work of spread of the Gospel to all people, and signs would follow them that believed. Miracles are possible at their hand through the power of the Holy Spirit. Jesus’ Spirit was not of the flesh of man but of the Spirit of God. God does not possess a believer but comes into the heart to wine and dine. It still a matter of choice to obey and disobey all the days of human life. Yet the Holy Spirit gives the power to not to sin against God.

The disciples of Jesus were told in scripture that they would do greater works then him. Yet one must remember if it is not God’s will then nothing will happen. It was God’s will for Israel to have water though Moses disobeyed by hitting a rock twice. Our disobedience will not prevent the will of God, but the consequence for disobedience is another story.

The point is the call of Christ is the call of also the disciples past and present of God. Christ was not teaching anything unusual in the temple, but he used it to declare himself as a teacher and to those sitting there that they to had a responsibility. Are you spiritually neurologically being moved toward the will of God for your life, and aiding in the will of God in others life by preaching and praying over the sick. Think about it.

Dear Heavenly Father thank you for the scripture that speaks of the call of Christ and if we compare it to our own call as believers we are to follow in Christ example. In Jesus precious name, Amen.
