Bread Crumbs That lead To Faith
01/24/2021

Daily Devotions:
by Christina Farris

Mark 7:24-37 KJV
24 And from thence he arose, and went into the borders of Tyre and Sidon, and entered into an house, and would have no man know it: but he could not be hid.
25 For a certain woman, whose young daughter had an unclean spirit, heard of him, and came and fell at his feet:
26 The woman was a Greek, a Syrophenician by nation; and she besought him that he would cast forth the devil out of her daughter.
27 But Jesus said unto her, Let the children first be filled: for it is not meet to take the children's bread, and to cast it unto the dogs.
28 And she answered and said unto him, Yes, Lord: yet the dogs under the table eat of the children's crumbs.
29 And he said unto her, For this saying go thy way; the devil is gone out of thy daughter.
30 And when she was come to her house, she found the devil gone out, and her daughter laid upon the bed.
31 And again, departing from the coasts of Tyre and Sidon, he came unto the sea of Galilee, through the midst of the coasts of Decapolis.
32 And they bring unto him one that was deaf, and had an impediment in his speech; and they beseech him to put his hand upon him.
33 And he took him aside from the multitude, and put his fingers into his ears, and he spit, and touched his tongue;
34 And looking up to heaven, he sighed, and saith unto him, Ephphatha, that is, Be opened.
35 And straightway his ears were opened, and the string of his tongue was loosed, and he spake plain.
36 And he charged them that they should tell no man: but the more he charged them, so much the more a great deal they published it;
37 And were beyond measure astonished, saying, He hath done all things well: he maketh both the deaf to hear, and the dumb to speak.

How often people from all backgrounds seek Jesus, some with idea that God's truth can be seen through out scripture. Jesus went into the borders of Tyre and Sidon and enter a house,an a woman came and fell at his feet in hopes he would heal her daughter of evil spirit. Her nationality was not of Israel, in fact she would of been outcast religiously by Israel. Yet she even ate from the spiritual crumbs of Israel. Just because someone is not saved does not mean they are not eating spiritual crumbs served for the prince and princessess of God's church. Even the big bang theorist eat from the table of the Lord, for what they understand is the earth and heaven is destroyed in one moment and recreated, prehaps in big bang formation or theology, when we see heaven and earth pass away we understand that it only took a moment and only a few days to restore or recreate by God's etneral plan, for Jerusalem comes down being created from old time period. Point being people of other faith's ideas thoughts maybe coming straight from God in their search for truth. When people see miracles, signs, and healing coming forth, they only proof they need is like the greek woman her daughter delivered from evil spirit to know she had the ability to become a child of God by faith and to eat from the prince and princess table and not the leftovers under the table. Why do i call the leftovers food for the lost, because they sampling the crumbs, the takes crumbs of a deeper faith that believers and God leaves traces of to encourage faith. The daughter of the greek with evil spirit was delivered without appearing before Jesus, given not only bread crumb but a full course meal from Jesus about faith in him. That Jesus would do the work he said he do without being present.The miracle and deliverance coming with the check it out.

There people watching and looking to believe Jesus is real. Yet those of faith often ask Jesus to do the impossible. My question is how many have the faith to take the matter to Jesus even if we are only eating the bread crumbs under the table and not the one's on top. God wants to stretch our faith and have us seek him for the impossible, yet sometimes even we have to realize the impossible maybe not be in the way we thought it would be. God's healing often begins eternally through faith in Christ. For a man faced with leg amputation, then receives a new leg from medical services, is this miracle, no, but Jesus said there always be physicians among you. I have to wonder if Jesus was now speaking of the need for inner healing was greater then the need for the leg.

There is point we can choose to continue to eat the crumbs that fall from the table of God's house, or we can join the table of God's house and receive Christ as Lord and Savior. Allow Christ to deliver first from our sin and then the healing of inner being, both spiritual and emotional healing.

Hazel and Gretel in fairy tale of two children who left bread crumbs along the road so they could find their way home, after their parents abandon them. Well the bread crumbs left behind for the lost is so they can find their way to Jesus, because man abandon their faith in God. Jesus went to Decapolis, he continues to travel in that region from chapter six, but here when he stops a crowd gathers, and brings forward a man in need of hearing. The crowd was searching can Jesus really heal the deaf. Seems odd with all the miracles Jesus has done already, but it was something more this town needed. And so Jesus took the man aside and put his finger in his ear. The man hearing was made whole. The crowd knew Jesus could heal the deaf and the mute with that. There are miracles of faith Jesus was scattering to towns and villages that caused the crowd to believe, and others to remain in doubt if he could heal all. The greek woman and the crowd had enough faith to ask, but it was with the sight of seeing the results of the miracle caused great faith to arise.

Why are blind to the faith stretches. I watch people that trust in science and technology, failing to see God's handiwork in the medical field. Why because their thoughts on Noah Ark being design by God seems unlikely to them. Yet they fail to examine the time period of what we know of it at the very least. Or how about the architect of the building of the tabernacle and or the temple. God gave man skills to better himself and others. Are failure to see it, is the same as failing to believe the miracle. Is technology use to help people hear or speak deaf of no use in the communication of today. We ask who needs to hear what spoken and who need to understand, and who does not need to hear and understand. Some language is meant for the world to understand and other languages are meant for those with understanding to understand. If I whisper to someone something the intent was only for them to hear, now if they share what they think I said, it now louder perhap or it is for the purpose for more to understand. The question is who needs to know an who should know the language spoken. Well the language of God was meant for all to hear and that why there is speaking in different languages on the day of Pentecost. Why was mute and deaf healed in Christ day so all could understand that all people everywhere was going to understand Jesus was the Messiah.The bread crumbs of miracles are for faith to arise in individuals.

Dear Heavenly Father, faith in you is not always the miracle, but the ability to use what you give through technology and also miracles. Miracles being the road of faith, the technology to understand your wisdom in our life, that we don't always get the answer we seek immediately but in time we do. In Jesus precious name, Amen.

Continual Scripture Study: 1 Corinthians 1:17-31 KJV
17 For Christ sent me not to baptize, but to preach the gospel: not with wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ should be made of none effect.
18 For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God.
19 For it is written, I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and will bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent.
20 Where is the wise? where is the scribe? where is the disputer of this world? hath not God made foolish the wisdom of this world?
21 For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe.
22 For the Jews require a sign, and the Greeks seek after wisdom:
23 But we preach Christ crucified, unto the Jews a stumblingblock, and unto the Greeks foolishness;
24 But unto them which are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God.
25 Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men; and the weakness of God is stronger than men.
26 For ye see your calling, brethren, how that not many wise men after the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called:
27 But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty;
28 And base things of the world, and things which are despised, hath God chosen, yea, and things which are not, to bring to nought things that are:
29 That no flesh should glory in his presence.
30 But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption:
31 That, according as it is written, He that glorieth, let him glory in the Lord.
