21 And when Jesus was passed over again by ship unto the other side, much people gathered unto him: and he was nigh unto the sea.
22 And, behold, there cometh one of the rulers of the synagogue, Jairus by name; and when he saw him, he fell at his feet,
23 And besought him greatly, saying, My little daughter lieth at the point of death: I pray thee, come and lay thy hands on her, that she may be healed; and she shall live.
24 And Jesus went with him; and much people followed him, and thronged him.
25 And a certain woman, which had an issue of blood twelve years,
26 And had suffered many things of many physicians, and had spent all that she had, and was nothing bettered, but rather grew worse,
27 When she had heard of Jesus, came in the press behind, and touched his garment.
28 For she said, If I may touch but his clothes, I shall be whole.
29 And straightway the fountain of her blood was dried up; and she felt in her body that she was healed of that plague.
30 And Jesus, immediately knowing in himself that virtue had gone out of him, turned him about in the press, and said, Who touched my clothes?
31 And his disciples said unto him, Thou seest the multitude thronging thee, and sayest thou, Who touched me?
32 And he looked round about to see her that had done this thing.
33 But the woman fearing and trembling, knowing what was done in her, came and fell down before him, and told him all the truth.
34 And he said unto her, Daughter, thy faith hath made thee whole; go in peace, and be whole of thy plague.
35 While he yet spake, there came from the ruler of the synagogue's house certain which said, Thy daughter is dead: why troublest thou the Master any further?
36 As soon as Jesus heard the word that was spoken, he saith unto the ruler of the synagogue, Be not afraid, only believe.
37 And he suffered no man to follow him, save Peter, and James, and John the brother of James.
38 And he cometh to the house of the ruler of the synagogue, and seeth the tumult, and them that wept and wailed greatly.
39 And when he was come in, he saith unto them, Why make ye this ado, and weep? the damsel is not dead, but sleepeth.
40 And they laughed him to scorn. But when he had put them all out, he taketh the father and the mother of the damsel, and them that were with him, and entereth in where the damsel was lying.
41 And he took the damsel by the hand, and said unto her, Talitha cumi; which is, being interpreted, Damsel, I say unto thee, arise.
42 And straightway the damsel arose, and walked; for she was of the age of twelve years. And they were astonished with a great astonishment.
43 And he charged them straitly that no man should know it; and commanded that something should be given her to eat. I have written on the resurrection of Christ and the resurrection of other in scripture. It important to understand there was interuption during the walk to Synagogue Ruler Jarius house, the interuption being the woman with twelve years of bleeding, made well. Faith that Jesus could deliver Jarius daughter was not in question, but when they came to him and said his daughter was dead, this interuption now seems as if that delay now had meaning, and yet Jesus quickly said to him not to be afraid only believe when he was told his daughter was dead. One delay one moment in time of being to late. Have you ever thought you were to late for a meeting, for the appoint time of event, or the moment you were hoping would come now lost because of a much need deliverance or event. Who would not stop on the road to help a person in need if you had the power to do so would you begin a little early to your destination. Would the delay be the cost of Jarius daughter life. Ruler of the synagogue and many religious leaders knew that sacrifice of their roles as leaders in the community, though the community often does not understand about this sacrifice. Often religion, faith, belovent act, a time of prayer, a second to hear one more hurt, woe, or pain of another to encourage, enable and sometimes see the healing process begin, cost time with family, time with friends, time to enjoy life as one would like. Ministry can have it woes. This man Jarius was not just a ruler but perhaps director of the board in the synagogue. People had been pressing on every side of Jesus and yet Jesus had felt virtue/healing power leave his body and wanted to know who touched him. I wonder why Jesus did not know and I believe it more of a question for the crowd so they could understand a woman of faith touched the hem of Jesus garment as if not to bother him about it. This woman was unclean as she was reach out and touched him hoping for relief. Yet he conveyed in words it was okay your faith healed you, for her to go in peace. The crowd no longer wonder, but the crowd understood this woman was whole and not chastised for touching him. Her uncleaness because of illness had not disturbed what Jesus was doing for her. Yet the other one that was in need died and Jesus said only believe and Jarius perhaps understood about the ability of a resurrection as a ruler in the synagogue.Yet the delay may of cost Jarius his daughters life.
Are we to late to do anything? The resurrection of a business man late meeting to miss a daughter play, might seem like why did the man have to miss the performance only to arrive thirty minutes late and only miss five minutes of the play because the star of the show was also late for the play. No one knowing the latest was a testimony of God's grace for the business man. It those things God seems to work out at times, and we have no clue why. Yet the importance of seeing his daughter performance was not missed by the mother as the little girl spotted her father. The importance of timing to do the will of God in the life of Jarius daughter was not missed by Jesus, the delay was for a greater message to be told. Jarius no doubt believed in healing, but to experience a resurrection he had not. Some religious leaders believed in a resurrection and others did not. Jesus was right on time, though the crowd at Jarius thought Jesus was probably out of his mind when he thought he could still help Jarius' daughter. If Jesus only been on time he could of healed her, but he was late and could be of no earthly good at the moment, the crowd probably thought and so they waited outside the hosue wepting and wailing.
The eyes of our Father in heaven that knows the importance of timing and evidence in our life of what we hope for and not what we know for fact. Our longing for what is only hope, beared in Jarius heart for the moment. Only thing left was resurrection and that would be evidence that Jesus had power to raised not only the dead but his little girl. Lazarus had not been resurrected yet, but this resurrection important to the people of that area to know of the resurrection. I have never done a search to see the resurrection Jesus performed based on location, but i do not believe any were in the same location. In fact I believe they were done to give hope of the resurrection to come.
Is our faith only on hope, then it has to value. God has to move in our hearts to see evidence of hope. That what keeps the believers life alive and yet, it is the crushing blow of how could I have any doubt Lord, but hear you are proving it by your word once more. There Jesus pushes the crowd out of the house of Jarius and only the mother and father of the little girl was allowed to be there as he raised her from the dead, by telling her to arise. No long a pipe dream of resurrection, but he witness the resurrection of his daughter. There is a resurrection at the time of Elisha. Shumanite woman son and man that fill into his grave that was dead. There was enough anointing of the Holy Spirit left on Elisha that the man that fell in the grave arose to continue forward. Jarius had heard these stories no doubt, but it still takes faith to see one dead arise. There been those that died on operating tables, back of squads and on a stretcher in emergency room with no hope and yet the hope of life came once more. It takes faith, and belief to see miracles happen, yet do we have faith.
What my point the action of belief or the action of Jesus words make the little girl whole. It is the power of Jesus to raise the girl, but the faith of the father, to allow Jesus to raise her with the crowd outside his house saying she dead, and all hope is gone. I do not doubt there plenty of ministers with that much hope to see the dead rise, but lack the faith to pray for it. Does it mean our humanity is in the way of God? God is a faith builder and he wants to ignite our faith to where we believe. Yet do we have that hope of faith to be stretch beyond our own reasoning.
No doubt Jarius hope and faith was stretched that very hour of his daughter resurrection. No doubt he knew Jesus was truly the Messiah, and perhaps only believed he was a prophet before. Either way Jarius knew that his faith was ignited. Christ own resurrection becoming believable through those he resurrected. Yet not understood. We live in the time of after the resurrection of Christ, do we have the faith to believe in the resurrection of the dead to come? Do we have the faith to believe the saints will be with Jesus as they depart this earth for the here after? Do we have that hope of eternal life with Christ.
Do we believe as Jarius did as Jesus continued on to his house. Do we have the hope to continue walking with Jesus and allowing Christ to move the devils out that would like to stop our faith. Are we willing to go on in faith believing despite the crowd of unbelief outside the door. We must come to a point of faith that says I do not believe in the impossible work of man but I believe in the possible work by Jesus. Then we have to be resolved that if is will is not for us to have our desire to see our faith fulfilled that a time will come that it will. We must base on the hope God has already fulfilled in one's own life. Jesus walked the earth and he still is with us that believe, but something is only desire and not faith. Somethings are faith, but not his will. We must be careful not to test God and say if you do this I will believe and worship you. We must be at a point of faith.
Jacob when in Bethel said Lord bring me back to this spot and I will worship you, only to wrestle with God and God to demonstrate his power by dislocation of Jacob's hip. Chances are our faith will not improve if we are challenging God, but when we pray by faith without the challenge, then perhaps, we will see miracle we desire, God is seeing our desire of faith and our willingness to allow his will in our life and the life of another to be done. If we accept it has not God's will, then we might see in time to come why it was not God's will. God may have something better in store for us. We might not understand, but we will in time.
Why speak of faith, hope and God's will, because many have lost love one's this past year and very quickly, to the point hope was gone in moments, and yet faith was tested, and struggled by many, who probably even had faith in Jesus. To make sense of what we understand not is maybe something we have to go through to understand, God will and reason is not without hope in our hearts and faith to believe. It understanding God grace is sufficient. Jarius no doubt need to see the resurrection of his daughter, for the resurrection of Christ to be fully realized as a reality. We fully do not now how the story of Christ resurrection would play out in the lives of those he healed, delivered and resurrected. Yet the story of Christ resurrection is still told and still beleived in today. That Christ died for our sins and arose to victory over death. There will be a resurrection of both unjust and the just, those with faith and those without faith. One to eternal damanation and one to victory. Can you believe without miracle before you, can you believe based on faith God has established in your heart. It begins as a mustard seed and grows. For the woman with issue of blood, only need to touch the hem to have deliverance, she had faith Jesus would heal her, she need not to take up his time.
Be willing to touch the hem of Christ garment or receive the truth of the resurrecting power of eternal life, Be willing to have the hope of God's will this hour. It hard to have that hope. It hard to understand at times, but faith is going to be strength by our journey with God and his word and wonderful working power of His Spirit in our life.
Dear Heavenly Father, give us the hope of faith, and stretch our faith to where we believe without doubt in your saving grace this hour and your healing power and resurrection power in our life. In Jesus precious name, Amen.

15 And have hope toward God, which they themselves also allow, that there shall be a resurrection of the dead, both of the just and unjust.
