21 And they went into Capernaum; and straightway on the sabbath day he entered into the synagogue, and taught.
22 And they were astonished at his doctrine: for he taught them as one that had authority, and not as the scribes.
23 And there was in their synagogue a man with an unclean spirit; and he cried out,
24 Saying, Let us alone; what have we to do with thee, thou Jesus of Nazareth? art thou come to destroy us? I know thee who thou art, the Holy One of God.
25 And Jesus rebuked him, saying, Hold thy peace, and come out of him.
26 And when the unclean spirit had torn him, and cried with a loud voice, he came out of him.
27 And they were all amazed, insomuch that they questioned among themselves, saying, What thing is this? what new doctrine is this? for with authority commandeth he even the unclean spirits, and they do obey him.
28 And immediately his fame spread abroad throughout all the region round about Galilee. No where in the Old Testament can I remember where an evil spirit was cast out of anyone. Yet there was cases such as King Saul where it was noted that evil spirit enter him and even made him into what some might consider evil king as he sought David life. In Judge 9:21 God sent a evil spirit between two groups of men, one being Abimelech the son of Gideon and his brethren. There are others Kings named Abimelech, beside Gideon son. Abimelech turns out to be evil, having over 70 of his brethern killed, and so a woman killed him with a millstone. The Lord sent a lying spirit in I Kings 22:23. If the Lord could order an evil spirit to do something, Jesus could also rebuke one, because it would have to obey him.
To understand the references of God using evil spirit for his will, it was to cause a loss or absent of himself in the case of King Saul because of disobedience, to show who King Saul truly followed as well. In case of King Abilemech it was to bring a rift between him and his brethren who agree to side with him. Case of Ahab to persuade him of a lie to defeat him in battle. Three cases where God used evil spirit to destroy or defeat a king.
One of the biggest lies is that exist in our election is President Trump had more votes, truth is he may of had more votes if voter fraud had not occured, or he might not of had. No one knows for sure. Yet even with all the evidence for the future President Biden, there is always a chance because some states overturned the electoral college vote in their state, that this change this could over turn the election even with the electoral college in the rest of the Unite States effecting the final vote in those states. Our country has been underattack by political lies for a long time. It is the political lies that break down a countries unity and freedom. It is the proganda that must be destroyed to keep our country great. Yet what if God was anger with the Unite States could he allow or command such confusion, the answer is yes. Why then in this story do we see Jesus hushing an evil spirit in this man. This evil spirit is being used to show those in attendance the authority Christ has over evil spirits. It was not normal for one to cast spirits out. Jesus had the authority to do it. Jesus first lesson to his disciples in the synagogue was casting out of evil spirits.
God never changed his tactics, he use evil spirits to prove his authority. He use evil spirits to destroy as well as to defeat them. This kind of action in Jesus ministry would cause fame to spread about Jesus, not only fame, but the question of is this some new type of doctrine being taught. God's authority never changed and Jesus being the word of God and Son of God, the authority never changed to cast or to control demons. Remember the soldiers came to seize Jesus in John only for the soldiers to fall back. It is that authority that would prove his power to control the situation. To take charge of the situation or have the ability to change a situation. This man was torn as that evil spirit came out of him. When the evil spirit came out of him and the man cried with a loud voice, The effect of what the evil spirit did to the man as he left his body.
First lesson Jesus gave his disciples was about his authority and first lesson he taught the people was from scripture, but also about his authority. He went in teaching with authority into synagogue not of his hometown, it was in Capernaum. If you ever seen a young minister verses an old minister, you can tell the difference in the authority and education they speak. Jesus spoke with authority to do so. Just like when he rebuke the evil spirit which he did next. That is why the evil spirit recognized who Jesus was.
Jesus would teach that they too could rebuke evil spirits, but these things often came with fasting and prayer, it was not immediate in some cases. Disciples asked Jesus privately about an event in chapter 9 of Mark. We can not take on event or any event and say this is correct way to do something. We have to learn through fasting and prayer. However no doubt this was the first case that disciples had not been able to rebuke an evil spirit out of child.
When Jesus teaches us to do something he going to show us with his authority, not without a command but also with action to follow. We must remember, power to speak has a lot of influence. Very few mousy people make it into the business world or political world without a spokesman, or the ability to speak with authority. If we know God has given us the ability to do something we can not sit back and do nothing. Disciples went with authority especially when they seen they had the authority to teach, preach, ask God to heal and to tell demons to flee. Now don't get a big head to request God for something is not the same as ordering God. We can not order Jesus or God to do anything. It has to be according to his will and purpose for that person's life and ours. There is pulpit abuse going on because ministers think all they have to do is command with authority and that is further from the truth. One must ask and petition God to heal, and the authority comes through name of Jesus, the word of God, who promises to heal all our diseases. Psalms 103. Where God heals a person total maybe in heaven. That my friend is the grief of the minister when people come expecting miracle to be wrought by his hand, because people understand the authority in which God gives his ministers to work in. Minister authority only is allowed within the power of God's will. His will is for his name to be magnified and glorified, for his Son to be glorified and magnified. Information about what happened in the synagogue and throughout Christ ministry, across county lines, and city streets, and mountain ranges.
Dear Heavenly Father, first teach us about Christ's authority and show us how your word spread in the world, according to your will In Jesus precious name, Amen.

21 And he asked his father, How long is it ago since this came unto him? And he said, Of a child.
22 And ofttimes it hath cast him into the fire, and into the waters, to destroy him: but if thou canst do any thing, have compassion on us, and help us.
23 Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth.
24 And straightway the father of the child cried out, and said with tears, Lord, I believe; help thou mine unbelief.
25 When Jesus saw that the people came running together, he rebuked the foul spirit, saying unto him, Thou dumb and deaf spirit, I charge thee, come out of him, and enter no more into him.
26 And the spirit cried, and rent him sore, and came out of him: and he was as one dead; insomuch that many said, He is dead.
27 But Jesus took him by the hand, and lifted him up; and he arose.
28 And when he was come into the house, his disciples asked him privately, Why could not we cast him out?
29 And he said unto them, This kind can come forth by nothing, but by prayer and fasting.
