The Ruler of the Synagogue daughter was dying and so he went seeking Jesus who was near by. Oh how he heard the stories of Jesus and the miracles wrought at his hand, but now he had a need to see his daughter healed. Would Jesus heal his daughter? He came and ask Jesus to come. This was the first step of faith of this man a Ruler of the House in the community house of God. He came with fear because of his position, and yet Jesus did not delay but came with him, only for them then to discover it was to late. All hpe was gone and Jesus said only believe. Told the man to have faith. Did he know about the resurrection of the dead.

What interesting about the resurrection of the dead in this story is first it was in the house of Ruler of the Synagogue and second it was a female that was risen. Women not having the same position as men and often protected in society by the men of the family. Yet Jesus came to raise a girl and daughter of Israel back to life. A daughter in the house of the Ruler of the Synagogue. A prize resurrection before the cross. A prize resurrection before Lazarus coming forth from the grave. A prize resurrection because with it would gain a whole town for Jesus. Faith would grow there among the worshippers of God. Of course Jesus said tell no one to protect the Ruler, but in truth this probably could not be silent.

Yet Jesus said rise and the little girl got up and walked around. A little girl of parents with faith in the impossible. A little girl, a daughter of Israel given life and knowledge that she to would be raised after death. Women today if you reading consider this if you are saved you will be raised up in the resurrection. You will be with your Lord upon your death. The reality of faith is that God is no respecters of persons when it comes to His rising and saving power. Men and women both will be resurrected and saved. On the day that Christ died and the graves were open both men and women walk in the Holy city. Not just men. When we die we got to be with our Lord. Women you are not left out, but a part of the family of God. You are part of resurrection. You are part of eternity. Never forget, Jesus has made you a person of value when you get saved. A daughter of His, to do His will equal to any man. If Jesus says rise and walk rise and walk.

This morning my trouble of getting out of bed stemmed from waiting to sleep. And Jesus said no you got to get up arise. Then this passage began to speak to me before I even opened the Bible. The mother and father both were witnesses to the event in this story. My husband witnessed me one more time getting up to type though I was fighting tooth and nail to stay under the warm covers to sleep. Our obedience to God to rise is important to live. For me to witness of the value of a girl in scripture and in this world today. Just because men are more widely discussed in scripture women are not left out of the picture. Without woman mankind can not be saved, because God was sending His Son through a Virgin. Woman important for motherhood, for working and feeding her family. Occasionally women were seen in political field. The value of women not cast out of risen from the dead. Risen to new life with faith in Jesus. Where is your faith? Do you believe in Jesus power to raise the dead. The power of the cross and the resurrection? It only takes faith to believe? Where is your faith? Jesus is asking you to only believe.

Dear Heavenly Father help our unbelief and give us strength to believe your word to rise and walk. That the resurrection is for both male and female. That life eternal is for male and female. In Jesus precious name, Amen.
