God's Story: Lesson 27
12/27/2021

Daily Devotions:
by Christina Farris

1 John 4:1-21 KJV
1 Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.
2 Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God:
3 And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.
4 Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.
5 They are of the world: therefore speak they of the world, and the world heareth them.
6 We are of God: he that knoweth God heareth us; he that is not of God heareth not us. Hereby know we the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error.
7 Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God.
8 He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.
9 In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him.
10 Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.
11 Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another.
12 No man hath seen God at any time. If we love one another, God dwelleth in us, and his love is perfected in us.
13 Hereby know we that we dwell in him, and he in us, because he hath given us of his Spirit.
14 And we have seen and do testify that the Father sent the Son to be the Saviour of the world.
15 Whosoever shall confess that Jesus is the Son of God, God dwelleth in him, and he in God.
16 And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him.
17 Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world.
18 There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.
19 We love him, because he first loved us.
20 If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen?
21 And this commandment have we from him, That he who loveth God love his brother also.

This is one of my favorite chapters on dealing with the antichrist. What I mean it shows proof there is a true problem right before the believers eyes of true unbelief in Jesus and that he came in the flesh. One of the biggest issues we have in our world today, is there are many groups that teach out of this one book called the Bible, with many interpretations on what truth is really about. Some speak that the Bible lies, that is the biggest antichrist out there, but we must go further in research about who the antichrist is. Scriptures says to test the Spirit. The antichrist does not see Jesus as being human in the flesh. Yet that is the very essential part of being a Christians to understand that Jesus came in all humanity, and in the flesh. There unbelievers that recognize that Jesus walked this earth, but they do not necessarily believe him to be the Messiah. The anti christ is not of God and is not the Spirit of Truth. As a believer you know the errors of the antichrist. You know that it not true, because you speak and walk with God. I was listening to a sermon the other day, I picked out about 5 errors in the ministers message. I also know that from his sermons he probably a very devout believer. Yet the error still exist. I ask myself more then once about errors like these. No one is going to get all the facts of scripture right, not everyone remembers the whole story correctly from beginning to end. Some errors are not worth pointing out and other errors might only need a gentle correction by the Holy Spirit. What is my point, test the spirit, ask God about certain errors are they trivial to the foundation of faith. Why even ask this? It might be error that speaks about what doctrine a person is and heresy of the church and minister. Yet it can also be what wass taught to that persons and is a hand-me-down teaching. Why is this important, because every group makes mistakes that are repeated by devils and not the believer of truth in regards to searching scripture for truth and soundness of doctrine. Everyone will make a mistake, but the foundation of Christ, the foundation of word is important. The foundation of who God is, is important. Truth about who God is, and who Christ Jesus is, is important. Can God remove the heresy the answer is yes. The only way for them to be remove is with truth, with walking by God's Spirit and also walking in the truth of God's word. God's word being also Christ Jesus in the flesh.

I wish everyone got God's story correct down to the very letter, but in truth this is not going to happen. I make my fair share of mistakes, and I think Lord have mercy on me, and on his churches in our world today. These errors can effect the course of history of the believers world and yet it can also announce there a problem within that needs help. If it shows the antichrist biggest mistake "Christ does not exist, nor came in the flesh", we have a bigger issues, because Christ exist long before his fleshly birth. The anti christ is apart of the world but is seen because of his lies. Those who believe in God and follow Christ have no fear of the antichrist because God's spirit bears witness to their heart and soul that they are a child of God and what is before us, is seen as truth that the antichrist is not part of the church. The believer has no fear because they have God with them, Emmanuel.

On the news, no matter how good a reporter, a person is, they will tell a few fibs in their day, because of misunderstanding of facts. With facts there is always a percentage of untruth. Because interpretation or opinion of someone maybe unaccurate to another persons character. When the "religious world" spreads one lie through media it effects many people because they are wonder whether it is true. When God's people can not trust their brother and sister in the Lord, we have to ask why? It all boils down to human flesh. Do we trust Jesus in the flesh? If we been a witness of the turning of the money tables, what would we had thought? If we seen the priest son kill a man because of the moneychangers, what would we have thought. Would we have been in the crowd shouting crucify, or like the disciples running, or the women a distance away from the cross? We do not know how we would of acted.

If you ever seen violence once and the first act of violence did not scare you, then something wrong. You can become numb to violence, but the first actual event of violence is going to cause you to wonder about things. The game changer came when Christ arose in victory. Christ became our propitiation for our sin. What was the sin, it was disobedience to God from the first Adam, to even now. The Priesthood in sin, why? The priest son acted on the insurrection. It was breaking of Roman laws, and it was who going to stand for crime committed? Rome, persecute Christ by their laws, and were made to look innocent, or had people become numb to Rome's democracy about the difference between religious law and legal law, that they demanded the punishment of the Roman law?

What is God's law? When I got here in my think yesterday I said I missing something in the picture. Like I say we can always show the full picture at once. I stopped and said what is God law about. It is about love, God is love, and God is spirit. Now if we believe Jesus has God's Spirit fully and is part of the Godhead bodily/divine, then we have to ask if God has a cloak of human flesh, no his word does and his Spirit. God is Spirit, his Son, his word came in the flesh, but his word contained his Spirit as well. The same Spirit that created Christ and can not be seen by the naked eye, is also the same Spirit that dwells with our spirit in our hearts. The Spirit is love and to love one another. When Christ turned the money changers tables over, he was loving God and God's house(the temple).

If we are to love one another as Christ loved us, should Christ had over looked the money changers? The answer is he had the authority to turn them over because of his divinity, but he became the propiator for the sin of the high priest son, Barabbas. Look up the name Barabbas if you do not believe me. Disobedience to God will cost you heaven, look at Adam and Eve, and then look at Barabbas who is saved, and look at Jesus who was resurrected after paying a great price for the this man who sinned against the law of man and not against the law of God. Priest defending the house of worship.

Where is love, when we throw the devil out, or wait til he tears everything apart. God is love, and if we are to love as Christ loves, he only throw the devils out of the house of God when they commit sacrilege on the temple with selling in the temple porch. Point being love is kind, good and so forth until the wick come forth to do evil. "God commends is love for us that while we were yet sinners Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8). Evil will be judged but we have a choice to receive Christ, who pays our price for our sins.

This is the hard part how can one man sacrifices, and many burnt offerings save the world. It is through God love for the world that he gave his only Son to be propiator for our sin. Not justification for evil behavior, but justification for defending God who also defends us. No when Christ comes into our heart and his Spirit comes into our heart, guess what happens, he begins to mold us into people of faith, love and hope. The sinner receiving the hope of Jesus, not paying the eternal price for sin any longer, but choosing to live a life free from sin against God, and the continual fight to not do wrong to others. Yet with God molding us our desire is not to harm but to love. Yet humanity still over takes us in this world when we argue or fight. Did the Priest son, have to live with his humanity or was he justified. God justified when he sent his Son in his place. We got to remember the time was right in God sending Jesus, but not only that, but for him to pay a price of sin of another, and then was resurrected only proves his ability to forgive. Yet he would die because he was king of the Jews and yet he is Lord of heaven.

Dear Heavenly Father, you gave your Son for the sins of the world, but we see it in the small picture of the event of the cross. You gave your word to forgive us of our sins, when we confess them. You justify us by faith and not works. Help us Lord to show that same love to others. In Jesus precious name, Amen.

Continual Scripture Study: Romans 5:1-21 KJV
1 Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:
2 By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.
3 And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience;
4 And patience, experience; and experience, hope:
5 And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.
6 For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly.
7 For scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet peradventure for a good man some would even dare to die.
8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
9 Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.
10 For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life.
11 And not only so, but we also joy in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom we have now received the atonement.
12 Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:
13 (For until the law sin was in the world: but sin is not imputed when there is no law.
14 Nevertheless death reigned from Adam to Moses, even over them that had not sinned after the similitude of Adam's transgression, who is the figure of him that was to come.
15 But not as the offence, so also is the free gift. For if through the offence of one many be dead, much more the grace of God, and the gift by grace, which is by one man, Jesus Christ, hath abounded unto many.
16 And not as it was by one that sinned, so is the gift: for the judgment was by one to condemnation, but the free gift is of many offences unto justification.
17 For if by one man's offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.)
18 Therefore as by the offence of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of one the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life.
19 For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous.
20 Moreover the law entered, that the offence might abound. But where sin abounded, grace did much more abound:
21 That as sin hath reigned unto death, even so might grace reign through righteousness unto eternal life by Jesus Christ our Lord.
