God's Story: Lesson 5
12/05/2021

Daily Devotions:
by Christina Farris

Luke 1:1-4 KJV
1 Forasmuch as many have taken in hand to set forth in order a declaration of those things which are most surely believed among us,
2 Even as they delivered them unto us, which from the beginning were eyewitnesses, and ministers of the word;
3 It seemed good to me also, having had perfect understanding of all things from the very first, to write unto thee in order, most excellent Theophilus,
4 That thou mightest know the certainty of those things, wherein thou hast been instructed.

The witnesser of the works of God are often those that God uses besides those that witness the task God has instructed the minister or ministers to perform. God needs people to be his witness. He does need them in the since of needing them, but he uses them for his purpose to allow his light to shine through testimony that they seen those things that God did in the lives of whoever would believe or bare testimony. Theophilius recorded history, and he recorded not only Luke's account but also Acts. Without a witness you got a one sided story, but it does not make it less so. It only makes it less proveable, without evidence. Evidence is needed if no witnesses. God had three witness, his Spirit, The Father(personified in person) and His Son(His Word). Moses tells the story of the burning bush, did anyone else see it, beside the Lord and the Angel of the Lord? However there were witness on the road through the wilderness and Egypt that knew the power of God. The power of God spread into every town and village to surrounding areas. The way God created the heavens and earth we must take on faith just like we take the story of the burning bush on faith. However God gave us his Son as a testimony, something tangible for us to believe in that witnesses seen him do in this age, this generation, to help them believe. Remember King Ahaz, a wick king that torn down the altar of God and sent gold from the temple to King of Assyria, God offered him a sign and he refused to ask God for a sign saying the prophet was tempting God, only for the prophet then to give him a sign of the virgin birth(Isaiah 7). Even to wick leaders God will give a sign too. Yet because he refused to make the request of a sign, God would not give him the sign in his day. Instead he would give it to the priesthood, those of both Elizabeth, Mary village, wise men, and the shepherds. Of Course Ahaz did not understand the value of a sign from God though he knew scripture.

What does a sign do for our leaders but tell them they maybe in power and have the power to do many things but God of heaven and earth is still in control This sign of a virgin birth had more then one witness to the event. However not only more then one witness to the event, it is recorded for the believers that would come to believe. If you ever had God bear witness to your heart, your mind and your Spirit you might come crashing down a notch or two, if not falling to your face before God. Depends if you are a believer or unbeliever, I suppose, or you never been a witness to the move of God in your life or the life of others. We might read these ancient stories and believe, and yet, to see God move with hand fanning the blaze of his Spirit is awesome sight. Yet one must understand that type of anointing must be caused by God's Spirit and word, and not duplicated by man. Those things that could be duplicated are snuffed out before they get to burning to bright, because God does not want the imitation being able to follow him. Example would be Moses going before Pharoah the first time with the plagues, Many of the plagues could be duplicated until you get to the licing, and God begins to leave the sorcers behind in a cloud of smoke so to speak. God will allow the enemy to follow until he grasp he better off not imitate this God is now their reality and they don't want to stand in his way of what God is fixing to do. Pharaoh magicians even feared God. Okay that is a little adlibbing. The picture is clear. The story then continues of the seven plagues with only a few more to go, with Moses alone before Pharaoh with probably Aaron his spokesman. Kind of the fight of the survivilist, but if you step out gracefully you will live. Will Pharaoh would step aside and then change his mind and block God's plan for his people, until his chariot filled with water and he drowned in the red sea. God warned him, he just refused to listen.

God rather you see his word coming in peace, love and joy like a virgin birth, instead of by plagues. Yet when one refuses to hear God the plagues come. God sent evidence through his Son do we need more evidence for the world? He died because of our sin, because of our rejection of him being king. Yet we have to ask, did he cause treason against the government in any format the answer is no. The only place Jesus caused havaoc is when he tried to cleanse the temple, his Father's house. He was gathering the people for a spiritual war, not a physical war. Those that did not understand made it a physical war by one slaying. The laws of flesh came to destroy Jesus, a man not guilty of murder, but being King of the Jews. Spiritual leaders are not interested the physical combats of war, but the spiritual combat.

When Christ returns, he will returns with plagues to be unleashed on the world in which we live. Most of us understand that times of trouble, hardship will come it is a part of life, better learned early in life then old age, but in reality the plagues God going to be unleashed is going to be like what the world has never known. This plague of our century and oops in the lab is nothing like what God is able to do. Science can fix oops in the lab, but God's protection is going to have to do for his plagues, and I am talking about the mark on the believers forhead he gives each one of his children. Imagine this for a moment the world is going to see these plagues and will not be able to run and hide, or flee from the presents of it not even unto death. Those that are sealed will be a witness to these plagues. Take your vaccine this is not God's plague, stop blaming God for it, it was created in a lab not by people trying to make a cure but chemical warfare. Most nations are masters of these things, but for every disease created by man there is a cure for it, if not in this century maybe in the next. After all do we not shadow God's warfare against our enemies. The problem is the disease got out of the lab and plagued their own people. Yet many still survived.

Is God going to heal all the believers diseases on earth or in heaven? Maybe both, depends on what you believe concern science of science ability to heal the human body by God's grace to mankind. Those that have survived Cov-19, Corona, Bird Flu and so forth are witness of God's work in the lives of scientist that did their homework. Science can show you things we can not see with the naked eye that God has created and formed. Think on it. The atoms and cell created all by God. Science learns to munipulate these things in search for a cure. We are a witness to God's miracle of treatment to a plague. Maybe one day a video will come out on the technology behind it highlight God's handwork in it and not man's alone.

This is our century our decade, our year of learning. No it is the world's year of learning to examine things from God's view as we study God's word. I did this view so many years ago, it testified more to my heart how God looked at man, from his wickness, to his love for each other and God. Our worship of God leads us to the manger and takes us to the cross. Man's rejection over God's choice, God's creation, God's word. Began in the garden and continues today in the hearts and minds of man that will come to believe God's word. Faith maybe heart, soul and mind, but the witness of blood, water and Christ(the Word of God). Christ is our tangible proof of man's rejection, verses God's love for man. Christ came in peace to teach peace, love and forgiveness. Will we come to the manger this year and see the cross of our reaction to all God has done for us. Let us repent and give God glory, let us seek the peace and new beginning of faith for our generation, for the people of our time. Let our testimony be one that says we believe and do not deny Jesus, and we worship and bow before God's throne. God likes to bear witness with tangible evidence, of what he does even in our life. Hold to faith. God not through bearing witness to this generation.

Dear Heavenly Father, move in your people, open their hearts, help us to obey your word, to honor, to worship, to bow before your throne to who you are despite man's rejection, you continue to love our generation of believers. Open the eyes of the unbeliever so they may receive your grace and hope in their life, that they do not have to reject the evidence that brings about faith. In Jesus precious name, Amen.

Continual Scripture Study: Hebrews 11:1-3 KJV
1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
2 For by it the elders obtained a good report.
3 Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.

1 John 5:1-21 KJV
1 Whosoever believeth that Jesus is the Christ is born of God: and every one that loveth him that begat loveth him also that is begotten of him.
2 By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God, and keep his commandments.
3 For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous.
4 For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.
5 Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God?
6 This is he that came by water and blood, even Jesus Christ; not by water only, but by water and blood. And it is the Spirit that beareth witness, because the Spirit is truth.
7 For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.
8 And there are three that bear witness in earth, the Spirit, and the water, and the blood: and these three agree in one.
9 If we receive the witness of men, the witness of God is greater: for this is the witness of God which he hath testified of his Son.
10 He that believeth on the Son of God hath the witness in himself: he that believeth not God hath made him a liar; because he believeth not the record that God gave of his Son.
11 And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.
12 He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life.
13 These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.
14 And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us:
15 And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.
16 If any man see his brother sin a sin which is not unto death, he shall ask, and he shall give him life for them that sin not unto death. There is a sin unto death: I do not say that he shall pray for it.
17 All unrighteousness is sin: and there is a sin not unto death.
18 We know that whosoever is born of God sinneth not; but he that is begotten of God keepeth himself, and that wicked one toucheth him not.
19 And we know that we are of God, and the whole world lieth in wickedness.
20 And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life.
21 Little children, keep yourselves from idols. Amen.
