God's Time Table Is Best

Daniel 9:19-27
(19) O Lord, hear; O Lord, forgive; O Lord, hearken and do; defer not, for thine own sake, O my God: for thy city and thy people are called by thy name.
(20) And whiles I was speaking, and praying, and confessing my sin and the sin of my people Israel, and presenting my supplication before the LORD my God for the holy mountain of my God;
(21) Yea, whiles I was speaking in prayer, even the man Gabriel, whom I had seen in the vision at the beginning, being caused to fly swiftly, touched me about the time of the evening oblation.
(22) And he informed me, and talked with me, and said, O Daniel, I am now come forth to give thee skill and understanding.
(23) At the beginning of thy supplications the commandment came forth, and I am come to shew thee; for thou art greatly beloved: therefore understand the matter, and consider the vision.
(24) Seventy weeks are determined upon thy people and upon thy holy city, to finish the transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most Holy.
(25) Know therefore and understand, that from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem unto the Messiah the Prince shall be seven weeks, and threescore and two weeks: the street shall be built again, and the wall, even in troublous times.
(26) And after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, but not for himself: and the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof shall be with a flood, and unto the end of the war desolations are determined.
(27) And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.

Most churches have finished the Christmas story unless they got something planned for their mid week service or Christmas Mass. Yet the advantage of being online you can hit every prophecy or most a percentage of them before the Christ child is born in the devotions. Yet I am not as good as God when it comes to figure out time periods and dates when I should get it all accomplished in my writings. I have been a little late a few Christmases but this year it looks like I might have it all in a nice neat little time frame for Christmas. God’s time table for things has not ceased. In fact God’s timing is always on time.

Daniel is visited by angel Gabriel the same angel that visits Mary. How old are angels the world will never know or if they have life span as humans do. Yet they are heaven coming done to testify to the believer of what is to come. That is something no one fully grasp, for the Holy Spirit speaks to the saints both old and new. Yet God still sends angel from above to speaks his truth and also in one case a lie. God uses good angels and devil this is clear. Yet we never fully understand why God uses angels when he can speak to his people directly.

One reason man needs and angel is Daniel is in the mode of repentance when Gabriel speaks to Daniel. Daniel is confessing his sins and the nations sins. Gabriel comes like intercessor to Daniel to explain salvation is coming for Israel and the Gentile nation. The time of rebuilding of the temple to the time of Christ appearing. I do doubt that many fail to see God’s word as salvation right here. To believe in this prophecy is to believe the Messiah is not only coming, but is coming to take away the sacrifices upon the altar. One sacrifice for sin. No longer having to sacrifice many times over one’s life time for one mistakes a sin offering. No longer would the sacrifice for sin be necessary.

Believing God’s word before and after is so important. It is having the faith to know what coming is of God. To know the return of Christ is part of our faith as Christians, Yet we celebrate past prophecy of the Messiah coming in the flesh. No long angel needed to speak to God for us. Gentile nation, a nation called by God to receive the Messiah at a certain period. Not only to receive but to see him in Human flesh as he had walked in the garden with Adam and Eve, but to see him in his natural form, but not in the form of his celestial being.

Time and dates recorded in Daniel represent the time the temple would be restore and the coming Messiah. Yet those that receive the truth understand that this date could not be duplicated. God never again gives a time table for Christ reappearing, only that things will continue like in the days of Noah. If God grants you vision and time frame of when things happen in your life, consider yourself blessed and know it is for a purpose if nothing else but to strengthen your faith. The only time frame not given is the day Christ will return to us in scripture and if someone does give a date it is false one, for no man knows the hour of Christ return.

Dear Heavenly Father give us the faith we need not just knowing your Son returns is in your time table not ours. You know the time and only have given us the pass time table as a witness of your time frame is best. In Jesus precious name, Amen.
