Daily Devotions: by Christina Farris

Ezekiel 25:1-6
(1) The word of the LORD came again unto me, saying,
(2) Son of man, set thy face against the Ammonites, and prophesy against them;
(3) And say unto the Ammonites, Hear the word of the Lord GOD; Thus saith the Lord GOD; Because thou saidst, Aha, against my sanctuary, when it was profaned; and against the land of Israel, when it was desolate; and against the house of Judah, when they went into captivity;
(4) Behold, therefore I will deliver thee to the men of the east for a possession, and they shall set their palaces in thee, and make their dwellings in thee: they shall eat thy fruit, and they shall drink thy milk.
(5) And I will make Rabbah a stable for camels, and the Ammonites a couchingplace for flocks: and ye shall know that I am the LORD.
(6) For thus saith the Lord GOD; Because thou hast clapped thine hands, and stamped with the feet, and rejoiced in heart with all thy despite against the land of Israel;

Only portion in scripture that mention a stable in the Old Testament. Is this Bethlehem? The answer is no. For Ramah is North of Jerusalem and Bethlehem is south. However could this be talking about the people of Galilee at the time of our Savior. A land blessed by the Lord to those that worship him. That the very camels and sheep come to find a place to rest. Galilee, was a land in the time of Christ of both Jew and Gentile. It is also the region that is thought to be of the church of Philadelphia in Revelations. In truth this area bring Gentiles to their knees in the house of God makes pure sense of these few verses, for sheep also come to rest.

Point is that if we declare everything that has a word or information about peace to the Messiah many portions of scripture would fit nicely in the mold. Yet seldom does the word destruction to the surrounding areas sound fitting to discuss with a time of peace for the camels and sheep. No doubt the first church as they began to worship Jesus after his resurrection and he spent 40 days in the land of Galilee teaching and explaining the scripture more plainly to 500 people that would spread th e truth of the Gospel.

It always important to check out location of places in scripture, so that one can examine and educate for truth. It easy to take one verse and claim a lot of stuff. Yet scripture will back it self up over periods of time. Why mention this passage but for education of the first church dawning with the announcement of Christ coming. It began in the heart of the people, not foreseen until 33 years later the reality of an actual time of worshipping Christ.

Dear Heavenly Father thank you for locations in scripture to help explain prophesy of destruction of the enemy, and for sending the Messiah back to the land of Galilee to testify to those that knew of His birth and knew of his story because they lived with him and also were witnesses that He had risen from the grave. In Jesus precious name, Amen.
