One of the greatest misconnects about the reason Jesus coming would be to sit up religious rule in the land in a physical sense of taking the throne of man. If I give everyone a drop of water everyone has the same thing. If you give everyone a set of rules to follow you give everyone the same set of guidelines to follow and yet it does not mean people do it. Teach everyone about God does not mean all believe, yet there many scholars of scripture that even understand spiritual truth without knowing God. Yet if all come to believe and know God and Jesus then what do you have all in one accord of faith. Everyone having the same drop of water. Yet the only problem is with faith not all grab hold the same way or the same time. Yet all are sealed by the Holy Spirit when one receive Jesus as Lord. If all receive Christ and all is in power or leadership because of Christ then is on the throne and in power in the world but Christ Jesus. Yet if all give all a choice and all give people right to choose to believe the power of choice is the same that Abraham gave Lot when he seen the green grass in the open field on one side and the other field not so green. Yet his decision was to take the easier appearing road. Yet he found the easy way dangerous. All want the green road not all all want the field not so green or easily traveled.

John the Baptist was coming to be the forerunner of Christ. He highway was to preach the gospel in the spirit of Elias or by the Holy Spirit. The soul purpose was to prepare the people for the Lord’s coming. Preparing the people for Christ coming. The heart of the people changed towards God so they could receive the promise of God. Very few people just bow to the Lord without some kind of heart preparation. It is not a preparation of man but a preparation of the Lord.

How I came to the Lord was I remember not only John 3:16 but the word while we were yet sinners Christ died for you, I had memorized the Sunday school verse. If I memorize so many verses the person get a prize. I probably had no concept of the verse at memorization but as the words began to sink in the enlightenment came to a little girl. Preparation came by God’s Spirit. Yet without a minister or teacher one only has the things of this world to understand that there is a God. Looking at nature and science one knows someone is out there. Yet it is also the Spirit speaking saying I am here. Things are to tediously and wonderfully made not to be. Yet it the Word of God that enlightens the heart to who He is.

The announcement by Gabrielle of the forerunner of Christ who name would be John coming was to prepare not only a Priest but the nation of Israel that the forerunner was coming to preach and to help in the knowledge of God for the conviction of the heart. A heart of good and not a heart of evil. Cain battle was to chose God’s way or his. His way won and got him cast out of God’s sight forever. Choosing to hear and to listen to God is a choice to obey or not to obey. To listen and receive his truth is a choice.

Problem arise when we think we can do it God’s way without God. To be good and to shun evil is based on a set of rules one chooses to follow. One has to remember those rules and choose to follow the rules. Yet if you choose to believe in God he pricks the heart of those things you do wrong. His correction, His warnings that you are about to fall. All in a reality of what sin can do. No memorization needed to feel the Spirit God’s correction or to hear His warnings by His Spirit.

God the Father when you choose his way and believe in His salvation through faith in His Son, the Word of God, the road of rules become ten times easier. It not a road of sin but a road of faith. It does not mean you won’t slip and fall it only means God will lift you up. His word is the only thing that will satisfy the heart and soul. The coming of the forerunner was to prepare the hearts of the people for Emmanuel, meaning God’s is with us. Some of John the Baptist followers would leave John to follow the Messiah the promise of God. For Now John Father was on his way of having his heart prepared for the Lord. He had yet to be able to receive all God’s messenger had told him, but by the time his son would be born he would know in his heart the truth and call his son John as instructed.

Where is your heart at today on the road of preparation or are you ready to receive Christ today. If you ready just repent turn from your sins and receive the Lord today as Savior. By acknowledging him to God the Father. By receiving his gift of eternal life through simple praying and saying I receive your salvation through Christ Jesus and ask you to forgive me of all my sins. I will trust your Spirit and Word to teach and guide me about all truths. It is that simple. Try it and you will see for yourself.
