James 1:17-27 KJV 17 Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning. 18 Of his own will begat he us with the word of truth, that we should be a kind of firstfruits of his creatures. 19 Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath: 20 For the wrath of man worketh not the righteousness of God. 21 Wherefore lay apart all filthiness and superfluity of naughtiness, and receive with meekness the engrafted word, which is able to save your souls. 22 But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves. 23 For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a glass: 24 For he beholdeth himself, and goeth his way, and straightway forgetteth what manner of man he was. 25 But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed. 26 If any man among you seem to be religious, and bridleth not his tongue, but deceiveth his own heart, this man's religion is vain. 27 Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world.

The word of God is eternal life, Jesus spoke the truth, but even John new Jesus was the Christ. What does the word Christ mean but Messiah/annointed. If one see Jesus as only a prophet and not the word, they receive not Christ but only the word as being of God. Yet if one thinks for a moment for the Messiah to be perfect and God, for is not God without blemish or spots, because no one but God is good. The Messiah is more then prophet, He is the word, and the word prophesized about. No other prophet is foretold about. Peter is foretold to Cornelius, but Peter is not the Christ or even a prophet. God calls Peter a man to Cornelius. No other prophet was thought to be equal to God besides the Messiah. God's eternal grace as always been his word. If Adam and Eve had obeyed God the price of sin for them would not be told, for their sin would not exist. Cain if he only listen to the Holy Spirit and obeyed, only the temptation would of been told about. What then is the point only temptation when it leads to sin is punishment for sin established. The laws of man establishes common punishment for crime committed. Adam and Eve knew not the consquences for their sin. If they knew would they still had lost their place in heaven? Would Adam been fired from his job in heaven only to have the same job upon the earth, without the benefits of a perfect home. Point being is how important is the word of God to you. Upon belief the word is then grafted into your heart. You got a new part growing in your heart. No the roots of the word will not block your heart only help expand your heart. The word of God helps you love beyond your own capabilities. However the grafted word of God in your heart comes with belief, it comes not to the unbeliever. What point does the word of God begin to take root when you believe any part or all of it. Do you remember the first verse of God's word you actually took to heart. Mine would be Christ died for you. I probably had memorized many verses at a young age, but the one that spoke to my heart that I believed without question and had memorized would be that one portion of scripture. When as child I learn to memorize my sunday school verses. It was part of learning the sunday school lesson before church. My household believed in doing their homework even for church. How many today do not read the lesson before getting to church even if it only five minutes before, or sitting in the pew before lesson begins. Point is there is a beginning point to the engrafted word of God. It the point of first belief, yet it continues unto repentance and even confession of sin. Some receive and repent all at the same time, and others take a little at a time receiving only a spoonful of the Word of God. Whether adult or a child the word becomes a part of the heart upon reading, hearing, learning and receiving it. One has to receive the engrafted word of God. The journey God begins with the first engrafted word. When do you receive Christ the annointed one, the person into your heart, the moment you choose to follow Him and obey Him. You receive him as Savior and Lord. You allow him to be the shepherd of your soul. You choose to allow the Holy Spirit to teach you about the word of God that is part of your heart, or the engrafted word of your heart. Peter believed that Jesus had the word of eternal life. The word of eternal life is about following after Jesus. Jesus chose twelve disciple yet one had a devil. Each disciple would receive the word of truth even the devil would receive the word of truth of who would deceive him. Yet the devil only obeyed because it benefit his desires. Do we obey God when we profit, or the only reward being the perfect and undefiles word of God. If you knew the reward is heaven, before getting saved do you only seek the reward for the value. What point did you understand about heaven. Is our greed such that our reward is greater then our Lord. Who understood about heaven before salvation. As a child I probably did not understand that part of the Gospel. Though I knew about eternal life upon salvation from John 3:16, I doubt if I understood about the inheritance of heaven. There is order in which we learn things, and perhaps it is not all at the same. Adults would perhaps understand different things then children. Comphrension skills are different as an adult. What as adult is the value of the word of God. We live a clean life without the word of God or so it seems, and we have a good job, and no eternal life. Eternal life seems to have no value accept what religious people talk about. Some even considering it buying insurance not assurance for a period of time we have no true knowledge of. The hope almost obliterated from the human mind in our society of gadgets and objects. Someone sick and needs a doctor and their is no cure and someone says pray and ask God. The idea foreign to those without faith. Yet the only answer to some solution is try God. Teen Challenge David Wilkerson coin the phrase try God for his teens on the streets he minister too. It took off like a wildfire. Why because these teens were without a God or Savior. They need hope established in their hearts and life without committing crimes that harmed not only themselves but others. Street gangs were who David Wilkenson felt lead to minister too. He was originally a presybterian minister. What then do we see people without the hope of God in today's world living righteous life, without God's word in it. They seem just fine without God, yet is God more then a crisis intervention, or solution. Why is Christ needed, beyond the hope of tomorrow. Is the hope of eternity enough reason to receive Christ, for some the answer is no without the understanding of the assurance of faith in Christ. The need to obey Christ is already in vogue in regards to the law. People have earphones streaming the latest enjoyable music, or speaker. In so much we are becoming a society of individuality to the point God is missing and the humanity is ignoring those around them to the point that the individual only hears what they wish to hear. People read books and things and absorb into world of their own, never hearing the cry of the person in the same room as them much less next door. What were the people doing the moment the last gun man started shooting. They were traveling in the direction that they needed to go. Who seen the gun man before he got to the point of lifting his gun to shoot. The truth is only camera's can tell you and those left behind that became a participant of a nightmare. We are taught from childhood things are none of your business if it does not pertain to you. That gunman on the street pertain to you the minute before or after he started shooting in your territory or someone else's territory. The woman raped in broad daylight who responsibility to stop it, only the cops, or the crowd. Will the crowd takes a risk to stop the crime in progress, or at least call 911. Did someone else dial already, who cares it be over soon for the woman either way. What wrong with mentality of the nation that cares not for the innocent. Cares not for those being abused. That turns away and say so what sin exist but I am not involved until it effects you. Why do preachers preach, and teachers teach if nothing but to warn of the unjustice and the crimes of humanity that can turn into temptation of someone else did it and that my desire for today. To receive God's word is to keep the sin of the devil from tempting or persuaying us into crime of the world. The war that someone else did it, I can too. Why receive God's word to bring hope back to mankind, to receive hope for ourselves to keep the devil at bay. What? Yes as long as society has the Word of God ringing in the streets there is hope of a better tomorrow. As long as justice is spoken about and living righteously before others is in vogue there is hope for humanity, beyond the inheritance of heaven. It not about legalism, it about receiving hope of God's word into the heart to obedience. Yet it more then that it receiving the prophesy of God as being real from before Christ, during Christ and after Christ on earth in human flesh. It is about the hope of Christ return. It is the hope of our nation, the world beyond our borders, and beyond our individual and individual life of true freedom, because the word of God has always brought liberty to mankind even when their criminals in power. Why because the just has witness of others they are justified as being non trouble makers. Yet it beyond that, Christ is the only one that can keep your feet from slipping, enable you to endure temptation at a moment of weakenness, give you strength in the middle of a storm in life, and have the hope of perfect harmony with the Creator one day by believing, hearing and obeying His Word of truth. Being established by faith in his Word and strengthen by His word. Knowing the reality of God and to serve Him is simple because He loves us and has a design for each of us and hope is found in Jesus. God even has a place for the devil in regards of eternity, and career goaled. Devil obedience cost him eternity with God, because of his unrighteous desire for greed of money. God calls each of us to have Christ engrafted into our hearts. Engrafted by His Spirit. To live in harmony with the Savior, to live in harmony and hope of tomorrow. God's word is to enable us to help someone else. To remember the window and the less fortunate around us. Some give that have no faith, but the atheist of the land and the groups that segregate to destroy others or to hate others in order to rid those not like themselves from this land is not of God. They only after their way of living through out society. To love as Christ love, is to love all people whether they were hearers and doers of his word or just passerbyers leaving the teaching with those listening. Christ received all but not all receive Him. He receive only those in heaven that believe, but allows all to listen. Hate groups only take those that are like minded into their realm. Not all that enters into the group of faith leaves with faith. Not all want but all are welcome to believe. The world is invited to know Jesus. Do you wish to be a hearer of the word of God or only observer to see if what God says is true. Do people change that receive Christ? How many believers do you know, are you sure they believe. I meet some you knew they knew Christ and others will, I had to wonder. The radiance of the believer of those with hope that hold strong in faith. Their assurance was sweet to them. They knew without doubt or wondering with confusion what it all meant to be saved. We all start out with much wondering and lack of understanding, but God's Spirit will teach if we will listen. The Word of God's Spirit is equal and just as important. The Spirit will speak all truth to your heart. Dear Heavenly Father, help each individual to receive the word of God as truth and follow your Spirit not only obedience but because your word is truth and hope for all humanity that will believe and follow In Jesus precious name, Amen.
