The Incorruptible Word
8/09/2019

Daily Devotions:
by Christina Farris

1 Peter 1:1-25 KJV
1 Peter, an apostle of Jesus Christ, to the strangers scattered throughout Pontus, Galatia, Cappadocia, Asia, and Bithynia,
2 Elect according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, through sanctification of the Spirit, unto obedience and sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ: Grace unto you, and peace, be multiplied.
3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,
4 To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you,
5 Who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.
6 Wherein ye greatly rejoice, though now for a season, if need be, ye are in heaviness through manifold temptations:
7 That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ:
8 Whom having not seen, ye love; in whom, though now ye see him not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory:
9 Receiving the end of your faith, even the salvation of your souls.
10 Of which salvation the prophets have enquired and searched diligently, who prophesied of the grace that should come unto you:
11 Searching what, or what manner of time the Spirit of Christ which was in them did signify, when it testified beforehand the sufferings of Christ, and the glory that should follow.
12 Unto whom it was revealed, that not unto themselves, but unto us they did minister the things, which are now reported unto you by them that have preached the gospel unto you with the Holy Ghost sent down from heaven; which things the angels desire to look into.
13 Wherefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and hope to the end for the grace that is to be brought unto you at the revelation of Jesus Christ;
14 As obedient children, not fashioning yourselves according to the former lusts in your ignorance:
15 But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation;
16 Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy.
17 And if ye call on the Father, who without respect of persons judgeth according to every man's work, pass the time of your sojourning here in fear:
18 Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers;
19 But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot:
20 Who verily was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you,
21 Who by him do believe in God, that raised him up from the dead, and gave him glory; that your faith and hope might be in God.
22 Seeing ye have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit unto unfeigned love of the brethren, see that ye love one another with a pure heart fervently:
23 Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.
24 For all flesh is as grass, and all the glory of man as the flower of grass. The grass withereth, and the flower thereof falleth away:
25 But the word of the Lord endureth for ever. And this is the word which by the gospel is preached unto you.

Everyone wants inheritance money. No one in their right mind would refuse inheritance money. After all a funeral comes and goes but what remains is the property and possession of the deceased. Whatever remains either the government taxes, bills, family, friend or organization usually inherits. Something are just not worth having and other things will they can be sold for money. Something tossed and other things handed down from one generation to another until they fade away. There is two types of businesses in the world we live in. The business that tries hard to make products that last for a life time and hopefully beyond, and those that make product to be recycleable. The recycleable products are not for long endurance. If they last beyond their destructible years one might say they have been lucky. Yet no matter how good a product is nothing last forever. Ever the products with longevity have a life span. Well in heaven what is and was and will be is incorruptible in heaven.

Focus today is indestructibility. God created a destruction time for mankind, as well as for things of this earth. Grass and trees have the ability to come back even after a fire. It has to do with seeds and life of the plant that remains. Lets not forget the fowl that replants as well, scattering seeds to and fro in soil it was not always made for. Now with this thought in mind if God made thing destructible on the earth, why is heaven have incorruptibility and how big is heaven. What is this incorruptible inheritance, it is the same incorruptible inheritance that remains on the earth even on the day of destruction. God's word remains and is indestructible, God is indestructible, God is and was and always will be and so is his word. Christ is indestructible. No not like the terminator, and definitely better then a cyborg man can make. Robot industry would like to make you think they will achieve one day a product that is indestructible, just like the old Timex thought they could do. For you younger generation Timex was a watch company. They had a commerical that said Timex takes a licking and still keeps ticking. Even the energizer bunny thinks it indestructible but have you bought and used their batteries you know it not so. God's word is better then any product out there. It will last even when people no longer believe, because in truth the word of God continues even when no one believes. A tree may fall with no sound or it might have sound, but either way it falls. God's word will exist even when it is not recognized. Atheist around the world can cringe at the thought they can not destroy something they can not control from being or existing. The devil crucified Christ, but he only destroyed the flesh. The flesh meaning the part that fades on all humanity. Jesus when he rose to incorruptibility, his body no longer would face decay or harm. Yes scars remained because of lasting sign of what Jesus done for you and me. Not because Jesus incorruptible body can not be healed without scars, they are a testimony for you and I. Those mark were healable, but left for you and I. The Apostle Thomas seen them.

The word of God remains incorruptible in heaven. All things in heaven incorruptible. Man was made outside of heaven and placed in it. His flesh and blood from the earth below, which is destructible. One day there will be a new heaven and a new earth that will not fade away. There is eternal order in the since of what is destructible and what is not. God made man's body destructible, but man invents embalming fluid to pervent decay. Truth in Jewish burial they used oils and spices on the dead body. Egyptians wrapped the body for burial along with medical spices and oils. No doubt these two learn certain techniques from each other. Yet even so the flesh passes away and bones remain but do decay.

The word of God is not corruptible and we are spiritual born again and sealed by the Word of God, and the Spirit of God. The word guarantees eternal life, then are we not corruptible but not equal to God. Our flesh will be destroyed, but we have incorruptible body like Christ. God is spirit and the worshipper worship in spirit and in truth. We can trust God at his word, for his word is demonstrated not only in scripture but also in the believers daily life. We can take God's word to the bank as far as being believable. God's word is more precious then gold, or silver. If there is a new heaven and new earth and old pass away, then how can heaven be incorruptible. Not the spiritual heaven is destroyed, the heaven and earth passing away is talking about the sky above the earth. God's home is indestructible. Think for a moment God sealed the ark of Noah. God lit a bush on fire that did not burn up for Moses. God's word is capable of stopping destruction as well as destroying. Jonah prophesy to Nineveh caused Jonah to be upset when the people repented and God showed the people mercy. God's promise are eternal. Image a candle never burning out, kind of like those childhood baby doll bottles that had milk or juice in them that one could never be pour out, no matter how hard one tried, they kept filling up on its own. Those things in heaven are eternal, including God's people.

The idea of eternity with no end, is not comphrendable to most. One sees the life cycles on the earth and understand the food chain and knows that all things go back into the earth and comes back out This mystery is not unconcievable, but our finite mind can not imagine a place that things do not break, people do not need medicine any longer, and our mind only forgets the evil of the world we leave behind. The believer's inheritance in heaven is a place of prefection not destruction. The punishment of sin we all face is death, but we rise again for eternity with Christ, to all that believe. A time will come when the wrath of God is pour out and the saints are sealed and not destroyed, though those around them will know the wrath of God that do not believe. The believer body is marked for incorruptibility, the body is marked for heaven, but time to leave the earth is not yet. Six months watching and seeing the suffering of the lost. I wonder if it so we might ask God to show mercy on these that are lost for eternity. No scripture does not say that as far as I know or understand, but I can not imagine God wrath without mercy in toe.

Paul when he was shipped wrecked, was bitten by a snake and no harm came to him, but I can't image it not hurting or even scaring him a bit. Yet His physical body not facing the death it should allowed the king to ask for prayer for his son for healing of disease that was terminal. That was the hope given to unbeliever. Is there hope for the unbeliever right now when they see the power of healing that comes to the believer. Truth is what if one prays for the lost and for the sick and it is not God's timing, because of the person's sin or lack of someone faith. Do we walk in the doubt of God's timing or faith? Faith must be exercised, hope must be for the believer knowing anything we ask according to God's wil, can, may and will happen. Pray when you go out that door to send those that need prayer of salvation, healing and hope to your door that He wants to help today. Pray with faith. Ask God to give you the faith, to pray with boldness of the Spirit, knowing His word remains true. Pray knowing the devil is liar. Pray knowing God is able. Pray if it not God's timing for someone that spiritual healing will be theirs. That stumbling blocks for the person will be removed.

Heaven maybe perfect, but we are here on the destructible earth now, and God wants save the lost. Eternity is yours you decide heaven or eternal lake of fire. decision based your desire to follow after Christ and to obey God's word. Did you repent of your sin, then walk in the footsteps of Jesus, knowing that if you stumble, He will lift you up.

Dear Heavenly Father thank you for incorruptible word that comes with or without faith. Your word is eternal and incorruptible and undefiled. Those that want it destroy can not, for it is eternal. Thank you for your eternal word. In Jesus precious name, Amen.

Continual Scripture Study for Devotion: James 1:10-11 KJV
10 But the rich, in that he is made low: because as the flower of the grass he shall pass away.
11 For the sun is no sooner risen with a burning heat, but it withereth the grass, and the flower thereof falleth, and the grace of the fashion of it perisheth: so also shall the rich man fade away in his ways.
