Healing Spiritually

Daily Devotions: by Christina Farris

Mark 7:31-37 KJV
(31) And again, departing from the coasts of Tyre and Sidon, he came unto the sea of Galilee, through the midst of the coasts of Decapolis.
(32) And they bring unto him one that was deaf, and had an impediment in his speech; and they beseech him to put his hand upon him.
(33) And he took him aside from the multitude, and put his fingers into his ears, and he spit, and touched his tongue;
(34) And looking up to heaven, he sighed, and saith unto him, Ephphatha, that is, Be opened.
(35) And straightway his ears were opened, and the string of his tongue was loosed, and he spake plain.
(36) And he charged them that they should tell no man: but the more he charged them, so much the more a great deal they published it;
(37) And were beyond measure astonished, saying, He hath done all things well: he maketh both the deaf to hear, and the dumb to speak.

One can talk to long about sin to forget about healing. Healing is a mystery to most of us that experienced a miracle. One has to take on faith that God did it for a reason and not just because He could, because some people never get their miracle on earth. Jesus healed a man with speech issue and he was unable to hear. A normal miracle done by Jesus, nothing to unusual about this healing beyond the fact it was during the time Christ walked the earth. If Jesus can healing a man that was death and a speech issue do you not think God can heal you spiritually. In the working world one would say they know Jesus can heal physically again because he did it before. Yet to heal spiritual would take proof. With the resurrection Jesus ability to heal us spiritually become questionable.

The resurrection gives us hope of rising too, but it more then that it is to rise to live with Jesus. Faith is something that we need evidence of. It not just the report of a person but evidence. Evidence is something not defined by others always as evidence. Evidence is questioned by man. Yet with technology one can find a disproved miracle on every corner. The miracles come by prophetic word, then it can not be disproved. God uses the prophetic word still today to prove His existence and His power to the believer. It may come by the Spirit, either by word in scripture or the word spoken only by the Spirit of things to come.

The miracles done in Christ day were to give the believer hope. It would also cause one healed to come to Jesus, and also their friends. There are cases where some truly did not recognize Jesusí power or authority. Some rejected Jesus after seeing the evidence of miracles and others brought others to Jesus. My question in healing was not of unbelief but why? God does miracle to demonstrate His power through His Son.

If we can believe God does miracles, can you believe God sent His Son to die for your sins, giving you eternal hope of salvation through His Son? Repent and be baptized for forgiveness of sin and receive spiritual healing your heart needs to have a relationship with God and His Son.

Dear Heavenly Father forgive us of sin, remembering your Son Jesus died for us and rose again the third day to have victory over sin and death. In Jesus precious name, Amen.

Continual Scripture Study for Devotion:Hebrews 11:1-2 KJV
(1) Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
(2) For by it the elders obtained a good report.
