turtle30cshell Daily Devotions For November 26, 2023
God is the God of the Fatherless
11/26/2023

Daily Devotions:
by Christina Farris

Psalm 68:4-6 KJV
4 Sing unto God, sing praises to his name: extol him that rideth upon the heavens by his name JAH, and rejoice before him.
5 A father of the fatherless, and a judge of the widows, is God in his holy habitation.
6 God setteth the solitary in families: he bringeth out those which are bound with chains: but the rebellious dwell in a dry land.

Are you bondage as servant or are you free because Jesus made you free. To be a part of royal heir through Christ it makes one free from the yoke and bondage of sin. To be a royal heir to a governing leader makes one a servant to that leader even if living in freedom. One becomes indebted to that government despite if it grant type of care. As a child, we are a joint heir with Jesus we are truly free do live in the freedom from the yoke of our free will to sin. Either we in bondage to good will or evil will of our heart. Evil will has no mercy, cares nothing of others other then for their own prestige. Beware of those that spitefully will use you and leave you before your dead in a ditch somewhere.

The truth of the matter God not a God that leaves or forsakes his children, he continues to be with through all the storms he allows to come their way to teach them, to help them to use the storm in life to help another. We all become orphans unless we do not out live our parents. We orphans in need of God even before we become an orphan. We are orphan ships with a soul inside needing a spiritual Father. Our soul is housed with flesh created in the image of God the Father. He gives us earthly parents that is human as we ourselves are in need of a spiritual heavenly Father. That spiritual Father first gave is word as a guide to enable to find our way home and then a Savior to light the pathway home to eternity of hope.

We were orphan vessel in need of a navigator. He in his wisdom spoke to some of who he was including Saul with blinding light. We know Abraham's father was an idolator so we do know when Abraham believed in God but we know God sent him on a journey to the promise land and he believed what God spoke to him, yet had trouble trusting God for a biological heir even when he and Sarah were both old. Hagar the maid servant of Sarah despite her disobedience found God to be a God of hope and provision.

Where is our hope? Widows found hope as they obeyed the Lord. As they trust in their heavenly Father. I am fifties husband in his sixties but I am aware if he unless he out lives me I will widow in my lifetime. I hear the words that God is our Father and I think of Anna who was a prophetess and spent her days in the temple fasting and praying. Was she starving, no there was food for the priesthood's family. She desired to see her Savior. Now not all women spend that much time on their knees praying but shunamite woman gave Elijah the last of her meal and oil by making a cake of bread and found herself with all the supply she needed provided for her and her son. It came with work.

God knows to keep the only one in solitary or mountain of temptation and brinf them out if their bonds or chains if bondage. Bondage can be alcohol and drugs to any type of sin that can amd will put one in captivity allowed by God. God promise deliverance if we will put our trust in him. He has the abilty to not only graft his people in but take make them in to be a useable part. It takes man to drop the part to allow God to place the piece back in, where it belongs. When people stop trying to make a piece fit, God can put the piece in right. Our Father knows what each child needs and will provide for them. One place in the shelter of his wings not in the wilderness of sin but in solitary place of victory with him, trusting in his grace.

Dear Heavenly Father give us victory on the mountain and valley of temptation. In Jesus precious name, Amen.

Continual Scripture Study: Galatians 4:1-7 KJV
1 Now I say, That the heir, as long as he is a child, differeth nothing from a servant, though he be lord of all;
2 But is under tutors and governors until the time appointed of the father.
3 Even so we, when we were children, were in bondage under the elements of the world:
4 But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law,
5 To redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons.
6 And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father.
7 Wherefore thou art no more a servant, but a son; and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ.
