Blessed 11/25/2023
Daily Devotions: by Christina FarrisGenesis 1:27-29 KJV
27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.
28 And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.
29 And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat.
Are you blessed. I think of first man and woman hearing that God's blessings had to be picked to be eaten and cooked and prehaps even prepared at times. God's word didnt say that and you never made apple pie, picked cocoa from a tree and baked a chocolate cake have you. God's blessings never came without work. Yet his blessings were one of faith and one of hope. From the time man left the garden reality of God's blessing of food if you worked hard for it never ended. You sit on a creek bank or tickle a catfish in a creek you are not with out the minimum of labor. You still got to skin/scale a fish to fillet a fish or gut it and eat bones and all. Dont worry you will find a bone if you dont remove the vertebrae right. You got to cook it unless you are eating sushi.
There a point man learn how to pick food, clean food and eat food even straight off the vine or tree. We might at times do not feel blessed by God but where your food to survive comes from may be as simple as doing a little gardening to get the product to eat the nutrition of the food. Dont eat cocoa fresh off the tree you need honey, sugar cane or other sweet products to mix with it.
God created people that like to try many variety of fruit and vegetables. God's blessing come with work, but will worth the taste of banana bread and fresh apple pie, every time.
Dear Heavenly Father thank you for the food we eat and the nourishment of it. In Jesus precious name, Amen.
