Daily Devotions:
by Christina Farris

Ecclesiastes 3:11-13 KJV
11 He hath made every thing beautiful in his time: also he hath set the world in their heart, so that no man can find out the work that God maketh from the beginning to the end.
12 I know that there is no good in them, but for a man to rejoice, and to do good in his life.
13 And also that every man should eat and drink, and enjoy the good of all his labour, it is the gift of God.

God never intended for man to not enjoy the fruit of his labor. Today is Thanksgiving Day a celebration true Americans hold sacred celebration from the first thanksgiving where Indians and Pilgrims came together to celebrate the survival of a long harsh winter, to new friendships that taught the pilgrims new survival skills as they learn from each other new ideas and techniques from each other worlds. At the end of a plentiful growing year the Piligrims and Indians brought some of there storage and fruit of their labor to enjoy in a time of thanksgiving to God celebrating the bounty of the provision for winter was coming once more and thanksgiving of new friends.

Enjoy the labor of hands as you celebrate with family and friends. You all that worked hard for your food deserve to be blessed by your labor. God gave you the ability to work and enjoy life then do so. A time is coming when those unable to will work again in the New Jerusalem and will enjoy the labor of their hands. God never man not to enjoy the fruits of his their hands but he called them to be people a people that worshipped and honor him under his mercy and grace.

Happy Thanksgiving and remember to give thanks for your blessings and bounty. In Jesus precious name, Amen.

Continual Scripture Study: Isaiah 65:16-25 KJV
16 That he who blesseth himself in the earth shall bless himself in the God of truth; and he that sweareth in the earth shall swear by the God of truth; because the former troubles are forgotten, and because they are hid from mine eyes.
17 For, behold, I create new heavens and a new earth: and the former shall not be remembered, nor come into mind.
18 But be ye glad and rejoice for ever in that which I create: for, behold, I create Jerusalem a rejoicing, and her people a joy.
19 And I will rejoice in Jerusalem, and joy in my people: and the voice of weeping shall be no more heard in her, nor the voice of crying.
20 There shall be no more thence an infant of days, nor an old man that hath not filled his days: for the child shall die an hundred years old; but the sinner being an hundred years old shall be accursed.
21 And they shall build houses, and inhabit them; and they shall plant vineyards, and eat the fruit of them.
22 They shall not build, and another inhabit; they shall not plant, and another eat: for as the days of a tree are the days of my people, and mine elect shall long enjoy the work of their hands.
23 They shall not labour in vain, nor bring forth for trouble; for they are the seed of the blessed of the LORD, and their offspring with them.
24 And it shall come to pass, that before they call, I will answer; and while they are yet speaking, I will hear.
25 The wolf and the lamb shall feed together, and the lion shall eat straw like the bullock: and dust shall be the serpent's meat. They shall not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain, saith the LORD.
