Leviticus 22:29-30 KJV
29 And when ye will offer a sacrifice of thanksgiving unto the LORD, offer it at your own will.
30 On the same day it shall be eaten up; ye shall leave none of it until the morrow: I am the LORD.

As we continue thoughts of thanksgiving I am thankful for all of God's blessing. How many give the sacrifice of praise or gift for his blessing in there life. It be done by love gift for mission work in the church if by money. If by giving to chariety fruit and blessing of labor, not just out of abundance but new items given to aid another in the work of those in need. Garbage tossed, useable items give. Dont give items that are nasty that not pleasing to God.

Often times one might celebrate thanksgiving with a meal, some with a glass of wine after a blessing comes. Yet wine and food is often a reason people use for depression. Oddity of things that probably does not please God. Humanity twisting things to please their own self seldom can be seen as a sacrifice for anything unless starving in the desert heat of 120 degrees and the person just found ice cooler someone buried and it is using solar panels or wind turbines for power, with food inside. That person's heart, mind and body is now praising God for the door was unlocked because of that gift of an oasis, there still the desert to cross, but they found a place of rest. It really is the heart and praise of thanksgiving that God wants to hear from our soul. Next time you find that oasis remember what your heart feels like, that what true thanksgiving should truly be when offering praise to God for he satisfies our soul. Fills us with is presence as believers in Christ. King David knew this type of thanksgiving for he was anoint long before he became king because of faith in God. He sung about it and Psalms records King David's song of praise and thanksgiving, he was a man of wartime. The Psalms is something we read to grasp that thanksgiving mentality even in the storms of our life, because there are blessings in the storm. The storm blessing may not be realized tell later in life. King David did subdue his enemies in battle and peace came to the nation of Israel.

Thanksgiving offering should be free will. When get to the place I see in some people where praise and blessings come first even in the storm, they have in many cases reach a place they know God only satisfies the heart, the words I write is no longer a reminder it becomes a reality to the soul.

The writer of Hebrews talks about praise and to give it as a sacrifice or offering to God because of the hope of our eternity. Speaking first of Christ being sacrifice for sin verse did not post yhat came before in Hebrews speaking of Hebrew sacrifice of sin. God in Luke gave his Son Jesus as a peace offering to man. Our praise from God not only removing our sin but God gave us Jesus back again through the resurrection. When Christ ascend into heaven, God sent a comforter to the believer the Holy Spirit giving the believer eternal hope.

Dear Heavenly Father give us perfect praise as we thank you for our many blessings. May our praise be on our lips and for our thanksgiving. In Jesus precious name, Amen.
