turtle30cshell Daily Devotions For November 08, 2023
Day 8 of Our Thanksgiving Countdown
11/08/2023

Daily Devotions:
by Christina Farris

Ephesians 1:16-23 KJV
16 Cease not to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers;
17 That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him:
18 The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints,
19 And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power,
20 Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places,
21 Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come:
22 And hath put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the church,
23 Which is his body, the fulness of him that filleth all in all.

The hardest revelation for some people to grasp is the authority of God's Holy Word. The word given in creation of worlds. Who by his Son, qhom he also made the worlds. We see the God in wilderness words given to Moses and commune with the elders as incorruptible Christ, just like the fourth man in the fire in Daniel who was with Shadrach, Meshrach and Abednego in the fiery furance. God's word having power and salvation for all that believed.

Power of God's word being among us that believe. The Holy Spirit being sent from above to communicate the things of God to each new believer. Jesus came to take away the old priest and God giving Jesus as being the High Priest over the church. God's word being before the holy scripture were writen down. In Genesis you see man with God's to man from the garden to the land of Egypt. Then you have the law recorded/writen down for man on stone tablets in Exodus. When God annoint man like King David they still sinned. God gave us Christ for the testimony of the cost of sin, despite innocent to the crime accused. We all dying because of sin. We all commit sin but we commit sin because of original sin. By our sin purged first by God's word the the blood of Christ, we see the cost of sin. God not going to destroy his word for you to keep sinning, he lifting His Son up through the resurrection to establish what always has been will be. Not in legalism obedience but in following God's Spirit as he speaks his word to each believer in Him(Father, Son incorruptible flesh/Word, and Spirit). His Son Jesus being the High Priest of our soul. Spirit speaks the word's to us.

Christ was place on the right hand of God from the begining of time. Jesus teaching how to live. Without the promise of eternity we all die to our sin.

Dear Heavenly Father thank you for the promise of eternity through your Son. Help us submit to your word and promises. In Jesus precious name, Amen.

Continual Scripture Study: Hebrews 1:2 KJV
2 Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds;

Hebrews 11:3 KJV
3 Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.

Hebrews 2:7-18 KJV
7 Thou madest him a little lower than the angels; thou crownedst him with glory and honour, and didst set him over the works of thy hands:
8 Thou hast put all things in subjection under his feet. For in that he put all in subjection under him, he left nothing that is not put under him. But now we see not yet all things put under him.
9 But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels for the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honour; that he by the grace of God should taste death for every man.
10 For it became him, for whom are all things, and by whom are all things, in bringing many sons unto glory, to make the captain of their salvation perfect through sufferings.
11 For both he that sanctifieth and they who are sanctified are all of one: for which cause he is not ashamed to call them brethren,
12 Saying, I will declare thy name unto my brethren, in the midst of the church will I sing praise unto thee.
13 And again, I will put my trust in him. And again, Behold I and the children which God hath given me.
14 Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil;
15 And deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage.
16 For verily he took not on him the nature of angels; but he took on him the seed of Abraham.
17 Wherefore in all things it behoved him to be made like unto his brethren, that he might be a merciful and faithful high priest in things pertaining to God, to make reconciliation for the sins of the people.
18 For in that he himself hath suffered being tempted, he is able to succour them that are tempted.
