Acts 8:1-4 KJV
1 And Saul was consenting unto his death. And at that time there was a great persecution against the church which was at Jerusalem; and they were all scattered abroad throughout the regions of Judaea and Samaria, except the apostles.
2 And devout men carried Stephen to his burial, and made great lamentation over him.
3 As for Saul, he made havock of the church, entering into every house, and haling men and women committed them to prison.
4 Therefore they that were scattered abroad went every where preaching the word.

Tonight is a night that devils celebrate the persecution of the church. What does the church do celebrate too. How many Christian dress up, eat candy, trick or treat, party and enjoy the night never thinking about those they were persecuted as the believers celebrate All Saints Day the next day. A reminder of those who died in faith. Halloween for many people is nothing but a fun night to enjoy with friends and love ones. Maybe a prank or too, along with a scary story and no one thinks anything about it. Until you live in a region where you hear of trees being saw down and it cost someone there life that needed a squad or a fire department. A prank that takes hours to clean up by disabled person who struggles for days to get the mess undone. No one thinks about it of the paint job ruined by an egg or two tossed at it, except the car owner that has to repaint their vehicle. Let us not forget those that are hung in a tree, or crucified and set on fire, stories of legends, but it still occasionally said ot have happened in this century.

Every Halloween or sometime in the month of October I give this similiar speech and i sure people say you over reacting, people do not do all that. Then I say you just do not know what some people do for this day called Halloween. If it could be left to only kids going door to door maybe it be okay, but then you surpised to learn their dangers in gathering candy as well. Some ERS even x ray candy years ago but i think that went out probably with cov. Some parents have decided party stays at home or in areas where they know their children should be safe. Safety first. For some people it is a day to worship Satan. This has no place in Christianity. Those that are Christian remember there is another story of Halloween then the one you hopefully practice if you got to practice it. Beware not everyone a believer in Christ and not all believe that being good is a good thing.

Saul whose name would be turned to Paul who as Saul watch the stoning of Steven. Saul had not been down the Damacus road yet. He was participant in the persecution of the Saints of God. He even dragged them from their homes to face persecution. A horrible thought but a fact. In those days the church world grew because people scrambled to other areas and continued to spread the Gospel of Jesus. There is nothing the devil can do to quiet the saints of God forever and ever. They will shout the good news. They will find ways to spread the Gospel. Devil can persecute but it only makes the gospel spread even more. People wonder why it continues to spread, because of those who are healed will not shut up and those that are saved know the healing power of Jesus in their own soul. Those that are changed by one moment in time by Christ love for you and me, can not help but share the story of Jesus, who delivered them.

God's people have a mission to share, but you don't have to tell a believer that, God's Spirit moves in their hearts and convicts them, they will preach, they will sing and they will testify of the marvelous works of God. If those in one area do not listen, they move to another and another and another, carrying the Gospel. If one persons and receives Christ as Lord the Gospel is planted in one more soul. Let Christ shine this Halloween, let it not be a night of emergency, fright, and evil because one just thought it was funny or part of Satanic ritual. Nothing is funny that causes harm to a person body mind and spirit. Remember if you about destruction your not about Jesus, unless it the walls of Jericho in your life that need tearing down. Remember God is going to pass right on through. Whether you allow him to or not.

Dear Heavenly Father, many lost souls are in need of you, may your light shine in the darken world that others will know who Christ is this season of tricks and treats. In Jesus precious name, Amen.

38 (Of whom the world was not worthy:) they wandered in deserts, and in mountains, and in dens and caves of the earth.
39 And these all, having obtained a good report through faith, received not the promise:
40 God having provided some better thing for us, that they without us should not be made perfect.
