Passing Away Of The Ungodly
10/30/2022

Daily Devotions:
by Christina Farris

Psalm 1:1-6 KJV
1 Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.
2 But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.
3 And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.
4 The ungodly are not so: but are like the chaff which the wind driveth away.
5 Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous.
6 For the LORD knoweth the way of the righteous: but the way of the ungodly shall perish.

There so much hope in the very first Psalm but you have to be on the side of faith and not unbelief. No one truly meditates on the law of the Lord, 24/7. Yet we called to do just that. Looking at the images of Mars on NASA site the other day and there is one image of a little tree, whether fixed or paint, I don't know of potential life on Mars. The images on the news must of been not true, for nothing was on NASA sight concerning actual plant life on Mars. Hopefully either Nasa site or the news agencies will get their facts straight. There a point we think we wonder and we speculate what life on Mars might mean to future generations, for now at fifty some years old I figure I never walk on the moon or on Mars unless something changes in our world. How much time is meditating on things we can not do or can not be exist in our minds. How much falsehoods are speculations about our hopes/dreams and not our reality. The world we live in is not the world of heaven, no the world to come of the New Jerusalem. The world coming with Christ to welcome those coming to meet Jesus in the sky. Hard to dream about tomorrow without knowledge of what tomorrow will be like. Jesus came walked among us and showed us his deliverance and power. Yet we to constrate on Jesus, the word of God. The law of love and not the law of hate.

We all had times in our life where anger seem to want to triumph over us. Our attitudes are actions seem to be out of control despite the word of God pentrating our heart. Cain's own hearing on the day of temptation was so great he did not obey the voice of God despite the power of the word. If you think you are not human in that regards that you so discipline you will not disobey God think again. Our ability to sin comes with our humanity, our humanity is part of the world we live in. and not of the world for believers to come. No we are no longer living under the curse of the law but better things are for the believer of faith. Think your power to resist temptation is simple enough just say no, no, and no.

The righteous by faith not by unbelief, the ungodly, people of unbelief can not enter into heaven. What does faith entail for the devil after all he believes and trembles but he not saved but is saved for his judgment. If our works have no value, does our actions not speak who child we are, then why be concerned with sin. Cain believed there was God for he communicated with him, but he did not listen to his voice of wisdom. In Malachi Esau was said that God hated him and also recorded in Genesis, but it goes on to say the Esau's hertiage was for the dragons. It gives us thought to our own righteousness by faith in God and Christ Jesus. Our works are meditation on the word of God and on Christ. It gives new meaning to the believer of our hope rest sololy on the word of God alone.

Our sin coming because of inability to what control it or not being discipline enough to rest in God's word and obedience to God's Spirit. Our heart not being where it should be and our mind not being on God's word that corrects our heart and helps us obey the word of God. Our actions not always where they should be but saved by grace because of faith. Our hearts sealed or kept til the day of promise by the Holy Spirit upon receiving Christ as Lord and Savior. Our knowledge of our justification looking at the ungodly into why not them spared as well and the reason simply unbelief, disobedience and condemnation like the devil, because he think he is god or has power over top of God and does not.

We all live in sin, but we are told we fall short of God's glory, our favor is not in equal to God's glory, his beauty, his power his might. We as believers are humbled by his glory. And we praise and serve him to the best of our human ability and then we learn to trust the power of his Spirit as we learn to serve him with our submission to him. He know how to take our righteousness and teach us and to guide us into submission to his will, and ways through his love. Showing how tomorrow will be better even though we loose our human support in life, or everything we have. God is able to demonstrate his power in our life.

Moses had the law before him and sinned, and yet it was by the Spirit Moses learned to walk and obey God through his correction and demonstrate of his power in his life. Let us not exempt the disciples upon casting their net forth in obedience to Christ , they learn to follow his voice, because of the abundance of fish and then with the knowledge and wisdom Christ gave through teaching and miracles performed in their presence. The disciples were willing to obey him, even unto their own death.

Righteous is something learned, no it something we receive with faith, we learn to live for Jesus because of faith, the Spirit of God and through the teaching and cross of Jesus. We learn to follow because of our own knowledge and reverence of God. Do we have a reverence for God? Through faith we are given the promise of eternal life with him. Not only eternal life but that the ungodly will perish. The ungodly were not people of faith.

Dear Heavenly Father, teach us your word, your truth, teach us about Christ and his cross and reality of our hope of salvation through faith which makes us righteous unto you. In Jesus precious name, Amen.

Continual Scripture Study: Malachi 1:1-4 KJV
1 The burden of the word of the LORD to Israel by Malachi.
2 I have loved you, saith the LORD. Yet ye say, Wherein hast thou loved us? Was not Esau Jacob's brother? saith the LORD: yet I loved Jacob,
3 And I hated Esau, and laid his mountains and his heritage waste for the dragons of the wilderness.
4 Whereas Edom saith, We are impoverished, but we will return and build the desolate places; thus saith the LORD of hosts, They shall build, but I will throw down; and they shall call them, The border of wickedness, and, The people against whom the LORD hath indignation for ever.

Romans 3:23-26 KJV
23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;
24 Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:
25 Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;
26 To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus.
