Daily Devotions:
by Christina Farris

Ezekiel 37:1-28 KJV
1 The hand of the LORD was upon me, and carried me out in the spirit of the LORD, and set me down in the midst of the valley which was full of bones,
2 And caused me to pass by them round about: and, behold, there were very many in the open valley; and, lo, they were very dry.
3 And he said unto me, Son of man, can these bones live? And I answered, O Lord GOD, thou knowest.
4 Again he said unto me, Prophesy upon these bones, and say unto them, O ye dry bones, hear the word of the LORD.
5 Thus saith the Lord GOD unto these bones; Behold, I will cause breath to enter into you, and ye shall live:
6 And I will lay sinews upon you, and will bring up flesh upon you, and cover you with skin, and put breath in you, and ye shall live; and ye shall know that I am the LORD.
7 So I prophesied as I was commanded: and as I prophesied, there was a noise, and behold a shaking, and the bones came together, bone to his bone.
8 And when I beheld, lo, the sinews and the flesh came up upon them, and the skin covered them above: but there was no breath in them.
9 Then said he unto me, Prophesy unto the wind, prophesy, son of man, and say to the wind, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Come from the four winds, O breath, and breathe upon these slain, that they may live.
10 So I prophesied as he commanded me, and the breath came into them, and they lived, and stood up upon their feet, an exceeding great army.
11 Then he said unto me, Son of man, these bones are the whole house of Israel: behold, they say, Our bones are dried, and our hope is lost: we are cut off for our parts.
12 Therefore prophesy and say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, O my people, I will open your graves, and cause you to come up out of your graves, and bring you into the land of Israel.
13 And ye shall know that I am the LORD, when I have opened your graves, O my people, and brought you up out of your graves,
14 And shall put my spirit in you, and ye shall live, and I shall place you in your own land: then shall ye know that I the LORD have spoken it, and performed it, saith the LORD.
15 The word of the LORD came again unto me, saying,
16 Moreover, thou son of man, take thee one stick, and write upon it, For Judah, and for the children of Israel his companions: then take another stick, and write upon it, For Joseph, the stick of Ephraim, and for all the house of Israel his companions:
17 And join them one to another into one stick; and they shall become one in thine hand.
18 And when the children of thy people shall speak unto thee, saying, Wilt thou not shew us what thou meanest by these?
19 Say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I will take the stick of Joseph, which is in the hand of Ephraim, and the tribes of Israel his fellows, and will put them with him, even with the stick of Judah, and make them one stick, and they shall be one in mine hand.
20 And the sticks whereon thou writest shall be in thine hand before their eyes.
21 And say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I will take the children of Israel from among the heathen, whither they be gone, and will gather them on every side, and bring them into their own land:
22 And I will make them one nation in the land upon the mountains of Israel; and one king shall be king to them all: and they shall be no more two nations, neither shall they be divided into two kingdoms any more at all:
23 Neither shall they defile themselves any more with their idols, nor with their detestable things, nor with any of their transgressions: but I will save them out of all their dwellingplaces, wherein they have sinned, and will cleanse them: so shall they be my people, and I will be their God.
24 And David my servant shall be king over them; and they all shall have one shepherd: they shall also walk in my judgments, and observe my statutes, and do them.
25 And they shall dwell in the land that I have given unto Jacob my servant, wherein your fathers have dwelt; and they shall dwell therein, even they, and their children, and their children's children for ever: and my servant David shall be their prince for ever.
26 Moreover I will make a covenant of peace with them; it shall be an everlasting covenant with them: and I will place them, and multiply them, and will set my sanctuary in the midst of them for evermore.
27 My tabernacle also shall be with them: yea, I will be their God, and they shall be my people.
28 And the heathen shall know that I the LORD do sanctify Israel, when my sanctuary shall be in the midst of them for evermore.

Can dead bones live? Most see the grave and look up it, never really think someone will rise again. Faith is sometimes buried for a time, and time not. It not that faith is dead, but it not uncovered beyond the knowledge of its reality to be in purest form of faith. I was looking online this morning and questioning the meaning of Old Testament vs New Testament as we know it today. The study of the law of Jewish people still in vogue to where it question and yet some consider their writings only one need reading. I do not agree. I believe the Bible is the only book need to study to understand certain things of old law and faith of the Jewish people, to help understand who Christ is as Son of God and Lord of all. Can God not build army sanctfied and holy meet for his use. Can God not build a nation of Jews that were sanctified in faith to send his Son through to the world. A generation purified in heart and spirit, but living so self righteously not to spread the word among the gentiles. Is Esau not tribe of Abraham, is not all of Abraham children not part of the promise of faith that believe, though not of the sanctified tribe or the holy priesthood through which Christ would come of Isaac line.

Christ crucifixion, death and resurrection, brought people right out of the grave and they life was breathed into their bones the breath of life. God's word breaths life into the history of his word. How is this possible it through faith in Christ Jesus in who our hope is laid in. When we read scripture we study and it pentrates the heart and soul of man. In that breaths the hope of the reality of God as doors open in our life, and God moves with in our own spirit speaking those things are of him. Can dead bones live only by the power of God. Man unearth a Mammoth Elephant and dresses it in finery of flesh to express what it may of looked like in picture books and so forth. The pictures come out with long hair and long huge tusk, resembling what ancient elephant perhaps looked like, yet they can not breath life into the soul of the beast. Law of freedom breaths freedom in our land, but reality sometimes freedom has ceases as our ancient forefather's had designed it. Though legislators and President work hard to keep these things preserved, some laws can and will from time to time infringe on the rights of someone. God's word and Spirit is different, when the Holy Spirit comes upon a believer he knows the power of God in his heart and soul. Whether instant or a time of scriptural baptism before the Spirit indwells the man to the point man believes power of God is working in their life, may come with experience of the ways of God through the study of scripture. Thus the word of God not only raises up the dead bones of people who believe, but raises up that spiritual army unto God the Father through Christ the Lord, so all mankind can know he sanctified his people. Christ through the cross, the son of David by birth, sanctified people holy unto God, who came from the sanctified tribe of Israel called by his name, Called to bring all tribes to him through his son Jesus. The law was not faith, the law was observed because one had faith in God. Christ would bring people to the law of God upon faith in him, by the Holy Spirit who would write and seal all believers in Christ.

The word of Christ breathing life into people who without the word would never believe in Jesus or God the Father. An army that would testify of the will and power of God despite persecution and despite boundaries of tribes, he would bring all nations unto himself. That man might believe in the power and healing power of God through his Son and his power of healing and power to do wonderful works of God in the lives of his people.

Dear Heavenly Father you gave your Son to be the stick the universal Shepherd of the world, to be called by your name, to be called the sacrificial Lamb, the Prince of Peace and the great High Priest in all the land and world. We serve not a High Priest of man but of God. A High Priest of Faith, the author and finisher of faith in the Great I Am(God the Father). He coming as the his Only begotten Son as Emmanuel(God with us) taught the people as sheep in a pasture, to raise them up through the cross and through faith in his name. Help us Lod to be people not only sanctified by his blood, but people that will help in the call of the world to you. In Jesus precious name, Amen.

Continual Scripture Study: 2 Timothy 2:15-19 KJV
15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
16 But shun profane and vain babblings: for they will increase unto more ungodliness.
17 And their word will eat as doth a canker: of whom is Hymenaeus and Philetus;
18 Who concerning the truth have erred, saying that the resurrection is past already; and overthrow the faith of some.
19 Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, Let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity.

Matthew 27:52-53 KJV
52 And the graves were opened; and many bodies of the saints which slept arose,
53 And came out of the graves after his resurrection, and went into the holy city, and appeared unto many.
