The Power Walk: Lesson 11
1/21/2022

Daily Devotions:
by Christina Farris

John 1:6-14 KJV
6 There was a man sent from God, whose name was John.
7 The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all men through him might believe.
8 He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light.
9 That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world.
10 He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not.
11 He came unto his own, and his own received him not.
12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:
13 Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.
14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

God's people receive not Christ in the flesh. Stop there, if we grasp not the importance of this fact, it is because they were coverd by the word of God from old, and they were blind that God's word could become object(flesh) of worship, the object of worship worthy to adore even at birth. Physical light of day was created by God but was not the express image of God or worthy to be worshipped. Why was Christ in the flesh worthy of God adoration. We understand that Immanuel in scripture was also the name of Isaiah son who had not adoration in the since of being Christ in the flesh, but adored as a son of man. What was different between Immanuel(hebrew word for God with us) and Emmanuel(greek word for Immanuel) at the time of Christ birth, being God with us. God's own were not to worship anyone but God, and so Christ in the flesh was idol in their eyes in the way Christians would worship him in the flesh. Did the power of God's word change from Old to New Testament, the answer is no. Yet the lack of ability to believe Christ being equal to God the Father, being part of God ownself, and equal to him in power was because they could not see the ability or power of God to do so, or be able to create another being because of blood, or the will of flesh, but the will of himself. Our ability to believe Jesus was conceived by Mary in the womb, has to come with God's ability and will to perform it, without blood and flesh performing it, except by God's will to created the blood and flesh of being by his word alone.

A good magician and a slight of hand can make you believe almost anything until one knows that he is a magician by trade. The rabbit coming out of the hat, seems impossible until you know there room in that hat for a little bit more. God is not a magician to perform by the slight of hand trick, he needs no fakery to perform his will. Magicians you have no place in heaven without faith in God's ability and not your fakery to imitate God's will by the slight of hand.

The son born to Isaiah in Isaiah 8 is born of flesh and blood and by the will of God but is not Christ in the flesh, born of the will of God in the form of flesh and blood of man. The Word became more then light and dark, it became a tangible being, that was more then just Spirit. The reason God did this was so those that were not children by faith could become children of faith. The children of the world that did not believe in him, nor did they want and desired an idol that was in the power and image of God. Not of stone, but that walked and talked to them like the idols gods had before their death, who were perhaps the giants(men of power or special knowledge or ability known through out the world with a gift) that man still worshipped. Even Paul on Mars hill in Athens declare the worship of the statue of the unknown God to being Christ.

Where then has God not reached out even to those who believed in idols to acknowledge his word as being finite. Yet the law of worship of idols were still forbidden, beyond Christ Jesus. The word become flesh to worship, becoming reality in form, not just the will of God, but reality of being more then just God's word spoken. God created heavens and the earth by his word, and yet man struggles that God can not create a man the same way. However earth and heaven is not God or ever will be God, though the wrath of earth and heaven seem to emerge, it is not God. God is able to take a part of himself his word and make it still a part of him by his Spirit, and not by the flesh and blood that created human life of his Son. His Son already born of the Spirit and word.

We to must be born of the Spirit and the word of God in order to be a child of God not of just flesh and blood. We are created in the image of God, but also life was breathed into us by God's breath into Adam's nostrils giving us human life, not born of corruption but living in the world of corruption, where Adam removed from and placed into the garden of God. Adam made of corruption placed in the garden has incorruptible worthy of eternal life, but living with a choice of obedience and disobedience to God. Forced out of the garden with the body of corruption by his choice. Christ was born of the flesh of corruption but not the Spirit or will of God's incorruptibility. The very essence that made Christ's both the Father and the Son was God's Spirit, not Christ flesh and blood. Yet Christ body in his resurrection became incorruptible and wore the cloak of incorruptibility with his scars as evidence of the resurrected Lord. No longer Spirit but also of incorruptible flesh.

In this life upon belief in Christ being the word of God and Spirit God in human flesh that became incorruptible flesh, we become God's children by God's will, born of God's Spirit and not of the flesh of corruptibility. Yet it never makes us God, because to be born of God's Spirit means that Christ comes with in our heart not to possess our soul but to commune with our Spirit, our Spirit being as his child sitting side by side learning from his Spirit and never his equal, yet we are joint heirs with him through the inheritance of eternal home in Beulah land(the New Jerusalem).

Dear Heavenly Father, may your will be done not only in the life of your very word, but in our life as we grow in faith sitting beside your Spirit in our heart as believers of faith. In Jesus precious name, Amen.

Continual Scripture Study: James 1:17-27 KJV
17 Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.
18 Of his own will begat he us with the word of truth, that we should be a kind of firstfruits of his creatures.
19 Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath:
20 For the wrath of man worketh not the righteousness of God.
21 Wherefore lay apart all filthiness and superfluity of naughtiness, and receive with meekness the engrafted word, which is able to save your souls.
22 But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.
23 For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a glass:
24 For he beholdeth himself, and goeth his way, and straightway forgetteth what manner of man he was.
25 But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed.
26 If any man among you seem to be religious, and bridleth not his tongue, but deceiveth his own heart, this man's religion is vain.
27 Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world.

1 Corinthians 15:42-58 KJV
42 So also is the resurrection of the dead. It is sown in corruption; it is raised in incorruption:
43 It is sown in dishonour; it is raised in glory: it is sown in weakness; it is raised in power:
44 It is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body. There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body.
45 And so it is written, The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a quickening spirit.
46 Howbeit that was not first which is spiritual, but that which is natural; and afterward that which is spiritual.
47 The first man is of the earth, earthy: the second man is the Lord from heaven.
48 As is the earthy, such are they also that are earthy: and as is the heavenly, such are they also that are heavenly.
49 And as we have borne the image of the earthy, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly.
50 Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption.
51 Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed,
52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.
53 For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.
54 So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory.
55 O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory?
56 The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law.
57 But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
58 Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.
