The Power Walk: Lesson 10
1/20/2022

Daily Devotions:
by Christina Farris

Psalm 147:1-20 KJV
1 Praise ye the LORD: for it is good to sing praises unto our God; for it is pleasant; and praise is comely.
2 The LORD doth build up Jerusalem: he gathereth together the outcasts of Israel.
3 He healeth the broken in heart, and bindeth up their wounds.
4 He telleth the number of the stars; he calleth them all by their names.
5 Great is our Lord, and of great power: his understanding is infinite.
6 The LORD lifteth up the meek: he casteth the wicked down to the ground.
7 Sing unto the LORD with thanksgiving; sing praise upon the harp unto our God:
8 Who covereth the heaven with clouds, who prepareth rain for the earth, who maketh grass to grow upon the mountains.
9 He giveth to the beast his food, and to the young ravens which cry.
10 He delighteth not in the strength of the horse: he taketh not pleasure in the legs of a man.
11 The LORD taketh pleasure in them that fear him, in those that hope in his mercy.
12 Praise the LORD, O Jerusalem; praise thy God, O Zion.
13 For he hath strengthened the bars of thy gates; he hath blessed thy children within thee.
14 He maketh peace in thy borders, and filleth thee with the finest of the wheat.
15 He sendeth forth his commandment upon earth: his word runneth very swiftly.
16 He giveth snow like wool: he scattereth the hoarfrost like ashes.
17 He casteth forth his ice like morsels: who can stand before his cold?
18 He sendeth out his word, and melteth them: he causeth his wind to blow, and the waters flow.
19 He sheweth his word unto Jacob, his statutes and his judgments unto Israel.
20 He hath not dealt so with any nation: and as for his judgments, they have not known them. Praise ye the LORD.

What would think if you had to give your whole life account in one story? What would you leave out and what would you keep. The Bible tells a story of the tribe of Israel and it's origin through the time of Christ and a short period after his resurrection. Yet if you had to give an account of your family and your life what would it be based on. A simple story like Little House On The Prairie, a Harlequin romance, psychological thriller, a mystery, or what about a treasure hunt of a life time? Maybe it be more like Full House, Facts Of Life, Fresh Prince Of Bel Air, or any sitcom of our currect decade. Would it be recorded like a news story, or a comical relief situation daily. What would your life look like on paper. If you are an alcohol it might say I was drunk, don't remember. If high, it is not my fault, I forgot to do the assignment. If sober and work alcoholic it might be just didn't have time for the diary today, and a bunch of blank spaces. If you have to much time, perhaps it be more about the world around you, then your own personal life. The mother with to much to do would take a five minute assessment of her day and say dear diary, it is hecked, and I got my chores done, only to have dishes in the sink once more, diapers to wash, and picture to post to social media I thought was cute. No time for ink and paper, but I am here, and my son, just climb a tree, scraped his knee, and my daughter dress has a tear. Yet she says she got bubble gum in her hair. Peanut butter gets it out safely, what gets peanut butter out, hopefully soap and water. Don't have no more time, the phone is ringing and it must be next door, with the new recipe. In truth the diary of the world continues, by the criminal that writes, mistakenly records each of his crimes he plots out, picture of the activity recorded, snapped and pasted in a scrap book.

Our world as we know it by the time each day is recorded by humans it is short, sweet and not much unusual activity, only the sharing of cute photoes that tell more then then diary written out in a letter or post card, in social media. People spending time with those they feel commardie with only to face the world of your who you are by who you want to be in a world that really only exist in fantasy, but not reality. Cyberspace is a fictious world because everything can be control even the response of the poster. The reaction may even be artificial. Someone the other day said to me I did not sound like myself. I really wanted to type back, probably so, spend ten years in my shoes online and you see why. Our world no matter where we live it changes us, whether we want it to change or not. We can not hold time still.

If Israel could change their history it would perhaps it would be to change the exile years from their land, because of their own disobedience to God. The recorder recorded in scripture, yet not without victory in foreign land concerning their faith in God. Sometimes our woundings because of sin are necessary in life. Sometimes our sorrow and pain of failings are necessary in life. Sometimes what is recorded in our heart is to help see how God has done a work within our soul, mind and heart. Our wounds caused by our sin, the jabbing of the sword, that can only be healed by God's Spirit. Jonah running had victory when the men of the ship worshipped Jonah's God. The King of Daniel day declaring to worship Daniel's God only because of the sin of advisors. The victory of the saints, because they remain faithful to belief when Christ returns. Their failing with sin reigned in their life instead of God's word. Would Paul be ashamed of his zealot behavior, probably not, but more ashamed of his attitude toward the devil that constantly buffed him.

Where is our strength when we record our daily actions, if we recorded every part of it as if it were gold plate being set on the table. Would we find our dinner of our own words distasteful at times or every bite delicious. Imagine for moment the repetition of our own thoughts roaming the throne of God. Would God be pleased by it words, or would his anger soar only to see we are covered by the blood of Jesus. Actions no better at times?

Those that been in church and lived what some would perhaps call an Amish style existence of their life movie being played out, would wonder if they might get an A, but in reality all struggle with words. Where is the healing in God's wings. It begins at the throne, where are sin is recorded as covered and paid. How long is the receipt/bill of sin that Christ has paid for us. Israel looks at scripture and say it over a thousand pages recorded of a nation that is living both for God and then against God. There sin is not complete, because they know not Christ as Savior and Lord. Then they shout our payment was the sin offering and Christians say that was before the time of Christ. Is their healing for those called by his name, only if they humble themselves before him and seek him and receive Christ as Lord. For the gentiles that repent and receive Christ, they are the outcast of Israel, there is healing in God's covering, called his wings.

The day we give account of all our doings to God, is it going to be a hard day for the saints and sinners alike, but the saints of God have the one thing those not save have, and that is God's mercy already declared in their heart and soul. The promise of Christ blood covering. There is power in Christ word, blood, and the cross. You want to power walk, you want the healing of God, he already knows about your sin, as he did Israel time and time again and yet he brought them home each time out of exile. His word declare He would.

We are brought out of exile of our sins daily, a we confess them, and he uproots them out of our life. Our words, our lust and the sins that fall that are incomplete even by action, is still sin. Yet by faith we have a covering through faith in Christ Jesus. God raises his word up in our life, only for us to fail, to only for him to raise it up again to victory. The sanctificiation road is a hard one after salvation, but we are cleansed through the atonement of Christ blood for our sins already.

What is unique about the blood covering, it began at the time of the passover of the death angel in Egypt over the children of Israel, who would live if they remain in the house of who's door post were covered by lambs blood. Egypt not God's children by faith, received the reward of that crime against God by the death of their first born in their land. The pharoah and his army would then die themselves in the Red sea. The color, right but no atonement for their sin, or lust and desire to have Israel back. There crime not covered by God's protection. The imitation gods of faith, can not cleanse your sins. Your idols can not do the work of God beyond earthly sin, not spiritual sin. The lamb's god in Egypt was representation of the son of man, that could only save by the might of their own doing, not by the will of God. Imitation lamb, a Lamb in wolf's clothing. God promised Israel protection after four hundred and some years that they would return to the promise land and they did, but the road their had to teach them about their own God and remove the artificial lamb from them, and they still set up a king in Israel, And so God sent his Son has King who the world still rejected.

Can we praise God through victory through his Son, Can we praise God for our life even in our weakness of sin, because his victory to enable man to be overcomers not by their will but the will of God the Father? Many people might want to change you and might be able to, but what they make maybe an evil monster by the time they are through with you. Pschologist sometimes make patients even worse then they are because their enability to get to the root of the issue. God has to do the repair work not man. Something man can not repair, no matter how hard he tries too. Repair work on Eiffel tower might be by man, but the work on the heart is by God. Why would a steel structure need repair? Steel eventually rust. Even Trumps wall need maintaence from rust. Great Wall of China structure might of seem old world, but it last longer then the steel.

What I am saying God's people needs primer and paint on them, not exactly, we got the best covering God produced for us, it called Christ blood, but we need sanctifying yearly, weekly and daily in our life. We need to have that sin purged not just yearly. When that diary of our life is read, the only work seen is what God's word did in our life. The battle is won to those that believe. It won in the hearts that have receive Christ, but there alot of people out there that still needs saving. They need Jesus too. They need the work of the cross in their heart, soul, and mind. They need God's covering. It is like no other.

Let God's word wound our hearts to only repair it his way not ours. May his word be the light of our healing, and the fruit of labor. May his light be the healing of our soul, to repent and to take hold of his forgiving power daily in our life.

Dear Heavenly Father, bring your covering daily to our minds as we hold to faith in Christ, that are mistakes are going to be healed by your word and your covering, not by man's cover up, but your doing. In Jesus precious name, Amen.

Continual Scripture Study: Matthew 12:34-37 KJV
34 O generation of vipers, how can ye, being evil, speak good things? for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh.
35 A good man out of the good treasure of the heart bringeth forth good things: and an evil man out of the evil treasure bringeth forth evil things.
36 But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment.
37 For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned.

Romans 2:16 KJV
16 In the day when God shall judge the secrets of men by Jesus Christ according to my gospel.

Romans 3:6-12 KJV
6 God forbid: for then how shall God judge the world?
7 For if the truth of God hath more abounded through my lie unto his glory; why yet am I also judged as a sinner?
8 And not rather, (as we be slanderously reported, and as some affirm that we say,) Let us do evil, that good may come? whose damnation is just.
9 What then? are we better than they? No, in no wise: for we have before proved both Jews and Gentiles, that they are all under sin;
10 As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:
11 There is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God.
12 They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable; there is none that doeth good, no, not one.

James 2:7-12 KJV
7 Do not they blaspheme that worthy name by the which ye are called?
8 If ye fulfil the royal law according to the scripture, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself, ye do well:
9 But if ye have respect to persons, ye commit sin, and are convinced of the law as transgressors.
10 For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all.
11 For he that said, Do not commit adultery, said also, Do not kill. Now if thou commit no adultery, yet if thou kill, thou art become a transgressor of the law.
12 So speak ye, and so do, as they that shall be judged by the law of liberty.

John 3:16-18 KJV
16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.
18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
