Daily Devotions:
by Christina Farris

Galatians 5:1-8 KJV
1 Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.
2 Behold, I Paul say unto you, that if ye be circumcised, Christ shall profit you nothing.
3 For I testify again to every man that is circumcised, that he is a debtor to do the whole law.
4 Christ is become of no effect unto you, whosoever of you are justified by the law; ye are fallen from grace.
5 For we through the Spirit wait for the hope of righteousness by faith.
6 For in Jesus Christ neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision; but faith which worketh by love.
7 Ye did run well; who did hinder you that ye should not obey the truth?
8 This persuasion cometh not of him that calleth you.

The day the President Abraham Lincoln signed the Declaration of Emancipation, Soldiers everywhere declared freedom to slaves, only to now deal with what this really mean to the people who had owned people. Most knew it was coming, but when it came, it left what bitterness in those who used people not only in trade but to work their trade or plantation. When Christ died and the veil was ripped God step out of his imprisonment of the holies of holies. What building can contain God? Jesus then stepped out of his grave. declaring God had forgiven the people if they would believe, by the declaration of the resurrection to the disciples knowledge and to all those who witnessed his appearance after his resurrection to pass to future generations.

Our nation may declare freedom for all people, but who do they mark this day for the nation civil rights leader Martin Luther King Jr. He declares as man not of the white race and leader of his people all people are equal. Republicans and Democrates when they switch office seem to need to repeat the declaration what their party achieved while the other party was in leadership. It is such an issue no one knows what issue is really on the table for the current time. What does this mean, it means just this confusion. When Martin Luther King Jr. did this things began to change in the world, yet had it already changed. I have been shown where some history is shield between time of the civil war and Martin Luther King Jr. There had been black leaders in places of power for a long time in many states, not in all areas. We make as leaders were not of all races until Martin Luther King Jr declare their freedom. This is something we need to acknowledge is not quite accurate of our nation history. I not saying there not bigotry, abuse and so forth, I saying that this history is important to understand this freedom marches were more then freedom marches.

When one Declares Christ is Lord, the laws of faith and ritual religious laws seem to be applied by people that know them, but not the declaration that God writes on the hearts of the believer. Those laws that declare we are a child of the King, we are entitle to an inheritance in heaven and that we are to love on another as Christ loved us. We are love God has he loved us. We are to love with the compassion of Christ.

Freedom will not happen if we lasso people with hate, Freedom can not happen if we become a task master to what freedom is. Yet Christ made us free from our sin, when He left our sin buried. If freedom has rules of love, then freedom of law must remain intact to not demonstrate the taking of others rights. Freedom of faith is no different. If we be in Christ who sets us free from sin, we are free in deed, but we can not entangle ourselves again to a yoke of bondage. That bondage being sin, the ways of evil and hate. We shackle ourselves again when we fail to follow Christ's example for us. There is no power in shackles, only power in freedom. Only power in faith, love and hope. If you are for freedom walk in your freedom today, if you be in Christ stop tangling yourself in sin.

Dear Heavenly Father, you know it easy for us to ensnare ourselves by religiousity and faith, love and hope, to be entangled by man's expectation of what the walk of faith should be. Help us to hold to our freedom of faith. In Jesus precious name, Amen.

Confederacy in scripture in Hebrews means freedom, not about slavery, but it is about Christ and the freedom by God's word and the stumbling stone set up in the Priesthood because of Christ cross. This is not full detail, but if you been reading these devotions awhile this might make sense and if not, I will leave it to God's Spirit to sort it out for you.

Continual Scripture Study: Isaiah 8:12-14 KJV
12 Say ye not, A confederacy, to all them to whom this people shall say, A confederacy; neither fear ye their fear, nor be afraid.
13 Sanctify the LORD of hosts himself; and let him be your fear, and let him be your dread.
14 And he shall be for a sanctuary; but for a stone of stumbling and for a rock of offence to both the houses of Israel, for a gin and for a snare to the inhabitants of Jerusalem.
