The Power Walk: Lesson 6
1/16/2022

Daily Devotions:
by Christina Farris

2 Corinthians 5:17-21 KJV
17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
18 And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation;
19 To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.
20 Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled to God.
21 For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.

How do you restore people? If any one be in Christ. Be in the word, be in obedience to God, no obedience alone can not save you, but believe in Christ and in God he is a new creation by spiritual birth. Our land needs a spiritual birth of faith, but also a spiritual awaken of the things that divide us has always divided us. Slavery divided Abolishnist from slavers. Those who wish to free people from those who wish to enslave them to something in our world are abolishnist or freedom fighters. Martin Luther King Jr was a freedom fighter of both faith and his race. Yet If Martin Luther King stood at the White House today, he be proud and angry at the same time. He did not fight to enslave those who oppressed him, he fought for all people who carried a yoke of inequality.

Are we all to be equal can a rich man take a poor person on vacation and both pay the same rate, only if they go to a place a poor person might go on vacation. Where would that be, his home. Most would never recognize this fact of equality is not about money, or wealth, it how one treats another, how one extends a hand to care about the wellbeing of another. I remember watching a documentary on a life of one actor, can't think of the name of the Actor, but the testimony of the door keeper, whose name I can not remember either, who remember the actor, said one thing about him, was he made everyone at work feel important, and equal to him. The question do we treat people equal, or do we enslave them?

Did God enslave Adam and Eve to a life of sin? Did God create only to enslave us. Or did he create us free only for us to lasso ourselves with a yoke of bondage. How did God treat Adam and Eve as equals in the garden? He gave them a job of naming all the animals. He made Adam from substance called dust outside the garden and place him in the garden and Eve was a part of Adam. Their offspring to come would be part of both of them. God was not from the dust, nor did Adam and Eve have to name him, he was and is who he is, as the Great I am, the everlasting Lord and Creator of all. God gave Adam and Eve the task of creating names for the animals. There very word would make the animals who they were. Yet animals of the garden were not equal to Adam and Eve. Now I know there people that treat their pets equal to humans, and give them probably more equality then they do their human counter parts. Is that scary? Only if you lying in a ditch hoping that animal lover will call 911 to get you out.

There is a point, when are we equal to God, never, why because he can squish us like an ant and we can not destroy God. Does God enslave us with a yoke of faith? Depends on if you have faith or not. A devil(slave of God) even knows God's word is true and knows God able to do whatever his word says in the life of a believer if they claim it in their heart, soul and prayer life. If believer fails to have faith only God's will alone will be performed, whether good or bad in a person life. Stop, faith with no action, of prayer, repentance, love, hope and not least faith, can not produce any of these things. Yet faith with prayer, repentance, love, hope and faith produces the fruit of God's Spirit. God is not our equal, but he treats us as first children, then as queens and kings of his kingdom, because we learn to follow his leadership, and we learn his authority is above our authority. Christ was beaten but he went and sat in the heavenlies beside his Father, after his resurrection.

Talk about that New creation in Christ, then we should have the desire to set others free from the yoke of sin. Set them free from yoke of slavery of world of sin. We see someone in sin, some of those evangelist go up and say you sinner and you need Christ. In some cases that all it takes. However others would be turned off by that method of witness. I really believe God puts those type of evanglist right in the line of people he knows that is all it going to take to bring a person to their knees. Others need to know how and why they are a sinner. Some need to know God is a God of love and just to forgive. Some people only needs to know Christ died for them and rose again the third day to receive Christ as Lord. However what type of evangelist are you? What type of reconciler to Christ are you? What type of ambassador for Christ are you. Some teach, some love, some demonstrate faith in every aspect of their life to the point even the heathens around them know when that person prays it will be answered. Can you set a person free from sin. Christ can, you maybe able too. If you sleeping with someone that is not your spouse yet, can you be mere friends to help them learn to date. To love the person before constimating the relationship. Can you remove alcohol from the alcoholic? Can you remove the drugs from the drug lord, or druggie? How many fights are about to break out with those words of removal of sin. Can we control another person's life? When is our sin of control controlling the world, playing God wrong? It begins when the world is seeing our sin as well. It is when the world sees are imperfection in the world we living in. They see our hypocrisy.

Then when do we become ambassadors for Christ, when we can show people the same love we want others to show us. Only x alcoholic can remove a beer can from the alcoholic safely, and x druggie drugs from the druggie. Truth of the matter can a person solve the problems of another? Only if they been in their shoes and get them out of the ditch so to speak. Christ has not been a druggie, alcoholic, or sinful, but he knows how to get someone out of the ditch. He knows the sorrow of their heart. The interworkings that caused their sin. Sometimes it takes us listening to the sin, to help someone heal, deliver and remove the obstacle as Christ does spiritually. We might see the outside, but Christ sees all of it. The one that turns a person further away from him even. The one that need a mill stone because of the pain they were causing a child that needs Christ.

One never excepts the evil, only works toward demonstrating love in a person's life. Sometimes a dose of reality is what a person needs. Yet if there ten Christians an hundred unsaved people there at least one Christian that can reach them for Jesus, why, because they going to click or relate to some of those people. Yet all anyone can do is show Christ love, faith and hope. God provides the tool of the Holy Spirit, we have to follow in his footsteps. Freeing a person from enslavement might take a life time. Yet God's word prevails. Not all we witness to will get saved or start their journey to know God, but we can do our part in the world we live in planting the seed of God's word.

Our nation no matter race creed, or nationality need to be abolishners of our nation. We want that same freedom others have, we got to respect their freedom. Does it cross the line to sin. It can. How does God deal with it. Roman 1, God turned the people over to sin, he did not try and stop them, but sent his Son into the world to die for them. He sent his ministers before his Son, who also died at times when their was opposition to faith in him. Freedom comes with a price, yet if we look at what we do, does it harm another rights of protection, safety, sanity, and equality, then we are in grossness of our own sin. We want to walk in the foot steps of Jesus, how did he love? He corrected the sinner, but he also gave people freedom to make choices. How many people walked away from him after speaking to him. How many sought him and told others about it.

Are we telling people God through Christ can set one free from a yoke of bondage that will take them to hell? If Christ blood covers all believers sin, then is that not enough power to resurrected us from the dead to share it with others. It should be, but instead people sit by and do little watching people scurry to and fro in our world and never saying Jesus saves, repent and believe. Turn from sin, and follow after Christ. God will make you kings and queens in his kingdom. You will be joint heirs with Jesus. Entitled to what the Son has but not the authority of the Son, but the authority to make request to the Lord of Lords and King of kings. Our power as a saint in our walk is the power to pray and make request known to God and to be an ambassador for his kingdom to come.

Dear Heavenly Father, help us as believers to be abolishnist for you, not people that enslave but set others in the pathway of freedom through Christ Jesus. In Jesus precious name, Amen.

1 Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.
