Daily Devotions: by Christina FarrisExodus 25:1-9 KJV
1 And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,
2 Speak unto the children of Israel, that they bring me an offering: of every man that giveth it willingly with his heart ye shall take my offering.
3 And this is the offering which ye shall take of them; gold, and silver, and brass,
4 And blue, and purple, and scarlet, and fine linen, and goats' hair,
5 And rams' skins dyed red, and badgers' skins, and shittim wood,
6 Oil for the light, spices for anointing oil, and for sweet incense,
7 Onyx stones, and stones to be set in the ephod, and in the breastplate.
8 And let them make me a sanctuary; that I may dwell among them.
9 According to all that I shew thee, after the pattern of the tabernacle, and the pattern of all the instruments thereof, even so shall ye make it.
God's design we only assume the majest and beauty in nature, but it goes beyond our understanding for God to give man a pattern in which to follow. How many love those self help instruction to put things together from a bookshelf, to a simple toy,or machine that comes in a box made by man. It looks simple everytime, until you get into the project. Those really simple designs become complex and aggravating. Never working out quite like you expect it to be. Now if God is handing you instruction sheet, you better beware it already one perfected and two it something you should either be able to do or learn to do. I love to ask the builders of God's work like on the tabernacle, how many mistakes they really made in the project. The canopy I bought had an instruction sheet, but it was the first instruction sheet not written in fifty languages. Only if you were blind could you not of understood the instruction sheet. It was all pictures and simple in design. I really need to give the canopy own an A for his/her instruction. Only flaw I seen in the project, is pieces were sometimes to loose in certain areas. a simple latch or buckle to hold it together would of been all that was needed. Gave the entire design an A.
God's design is greater then an A, because it allowed everyone to be involved in at the least the donations of the tabernacle. The very design work was God. He knew who would working on the tabernacle, and all the carvings, metal work, so forth an their ability and non ability. God even appoint people to the task. He also asked them to build him a place within for his dwelling place. I always say man lock God in a box, but in reality he shut himself in the box, the ark of safety. When the veil was ripped Christ was crucified, and he rose again to live again in Heaven. Clouds for a veil and the blood Christ became our veil before the eyes of God. Had not God crucified people for sin, and yet he was still all powerful. Judgment of God can divide people from God for a time. Noah, he built an altar after the flood. God over a thousand years latter would design his own resting place to travel with Israel the ark of Covenant, with a tabernacle around him.
God judgment was causing the people to live in fear and not reverence of God. Yet they were willing to build him a sanctuary at his design. I wonder how many tabernacle like structure would be made by God's design the world will never know. The tent structure first recorded in scripture is probably Abraham, yet I sure Adam and Eve maybe had a tent, but no knowledge of it being in existence then.
God would call the crafters to the design. A small fraction of evidence that God had helpers to build the world we live in comes only in the first chapter of Genesis, and who present with God but the Godhead bodily. Angels of heaven where created when? We know Satan was in the garden of God where Adam and Eve lived. No evidence he helped in anyway in God's design of creation. Yet there acknowledgement in scripture that God called man to follow his design for building the tabernacle and the ark of the covenant.
God instruction book his word(the Holy Bible). God can give man instruction to build many things outside what we know has Bible even today. God's word is a good baseline for all other instruction manuals. If it does not line up with God's word scrap it, or take note it not God's instruction to his people. It maybe the devil's copy cat design. God's people build churches, schools, many things. God's call on man's life to build, to create is not new. Yet he calls all of us to be a helper in his project for our lives. We are clay and God potter, and has he molds us we must be willing to give up sin, turn from things not of Him, and reach out to others in need, while avoiding the sin nature. To do his will, according to his design for our life. Sounds like a tall order. In truth it simple, because God designs us to people that peculair, obedient to his word, an example to others(not as a god, but people of love). God wants to mold us, remove the rocks in the clay away and shape us into a vessel worthy to be used for his kingdom, his honor and glory.
No doubt when the builders of the tabernacle, ark and seamstress of all the flowing robes of the priesthood looked at the work they seen God's instruction coming to fruition. A beautiful harmonize creation by God's handiwork. God's displaying his ability to create something special for their lives always if they heed his instruction.
Dear Heavenly Father, thank you for calling us to be your child, mold us and make us into what you want us to be by your design for your kingdom and glory. In Jesus precious name, Amen.

1 And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,
2 See, I have called by name Bezaleel the son of Uri, the son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah:
3 And I have filled him with the spirit of God, in wisdom, and in understanding, and in knowledge, and in all manner of workmanship,
4 To devise cunning works, to work in gold, and in silver, and in brass,
5 And in cutting of stones, to set them, and in carving of timber, to work in all manner of workmanship.
6 And I, behold, I have given with him Aholiab, the son of Ahisamach, of the tribe of Dan: and in the hearts of all that are wise hearted I have put wisdom, that they may make all that I have commanded thee;
7 The tabernacle of the congregation, and the ark of the testimony, and the mercy seat that is thereupon, and all the furniture of the tabernacle,
8 And the table and his furniture, and the pure candlestick with all his furniture, and the altar of incense,
9 And the altar of burnt offering with all his furniture, and the laver and his foot,
10 And the cloths of service, and the holy garments for Aaron the priest, and the garments of his sons, to minister in the priest's office,
