Great Is His Faithfulness Day 9 09/09/2021
Daily Devotions: by Christina FarrisGenesis 8:22 KJV
22 While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease.
God's faithfulness to provide seedtime and harvest. The value of this promise of God in Genesis 8 after the flood, is a guarantee that there will always be time of growth and a time of harvest. Yet if we look at the plain states and ask how many dry season have they had in thirty to forty years, I would say plenty of times crops did not grow or if they did they yield very little. My own gardening career speaks the same thing of hope of good crop only to have been better off buying in the store. However the truth of the matter without seed time and harvest there is no fresh fruit, vegetables and herbs. Without seeds there is no crops, without rain there is no crops and with a harvest the fruit, vegetables and herbs will rot into the ground.
Man worries about tribulation to come failing to grasp the meaning of this one prophetic word from God about seedtime and harvest, cold and heat and summer and winter and day and night shall not cease. How many places in the world has America and other nation gone into and taught people how to irrigate crops, produce food enough to feed their people. How many farmers alone in America use some of these same irrigation methods to water their crops in dry season to produce? I do not have a figure but I know the process continues even today. The word famine should not be heard in any nation with the abundance of crops in the world, and yet there are people starving. There is food that goes to waste. There are hardship that should never be known by a living soul and yet it is.
Jesus said that no man knows the hour of coming of the Son of man to be but His Father in heaven. Not even the angels in heaven know the hour. A great mourning will come on the earth at the sight of Jesus. Angels with the trumpets will gather his elect from the four winds from one end of heaven to the other. When this time frame comes of the return of Christ it comes like the time of Noah, with preaching and teaching, and no one hearing. Yet the end will come. The earth will pass away, but Christ word will not pass away.
To know that you can count on seedtime and harvest until the earth pass away, means his word is good, and to know his word continues forever into the new heaven and earth. Means Jesus word/God's word is faithful to man. God mercy is always applied when judgment comes, because of those that repent, but you won't have time to repent on the day of judgment, you only be in shock, mourning that all those believers were telling the truth about God's word. One might even be angry at being left behind standing upon the earth. However you will have made your choice.
People will be working and someone beside them taken right up to meet Jesus. Another will be asleep and be taken to see Jesus. With so much cov 19 we can almost imagine the taking away of life, but we are not seeing the picture that every eye will see Jesus at this point, everyone will know those being taken are Jesus'. Will you prepare yourself for being taken not as property stolen from the earth, but taken up as joint heirs with Jesus of the brighter tomorrow. The devil if he knew how to stop this event would, for he would not allow Christ to gather his people from the four corners of the wind.
Let us as believers hold to the hope of eternity as promise of the greatness and faithfulness of God to both the believer and none believer. That God's promises and mercy is today and his judgment is to yet come. The horror picture of disasters is enough for us to grasp the day of judgment will be like, but what worse there be no more rescuing of the perishing as in the day of disaster. There is no more hope beyond swiftness to carry out his word. Be on the winning side and receive Jesus as Lord today. Know when you make a mistake turn from it. God knows your humanity and loves you as you are. Just believe in Jesus today.
Dear Heavenly Father, your word is a light unto our path concerning your promises from the beginning of your word to the end of your word and even the promises in between. Remind us Lord the time is coming for your soon return. In Jesus precious name, Amen.
Continual Scripture Study: Matthew 24:27-46 KJV
27 For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
28 For wheresoever the carcase is, there will the eagles be gathered together.
29 Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:
30 And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.
31 And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.
32 Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When his branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh:
33 So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors.
34 Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled.
35 Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.
36 But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only.
37 But as the days of Noe were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
38 For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark,
39 And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
40 Then shall two be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left.
41 Two women shall be grinding at the mill; the one shall be taken, and the other left.
42 Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come.
43 But know this, that if the goodman of the house had known in what watch the thief would come, he would have watched, and would not have suffered his house to be broken up.
44 Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh.
45 Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his lord hath made ruler over his household, to give them meat in due season?
46 Blessed is that servant, whom his lord when he cometh shall find so doing.
